Central Texas. Planning on doing HOG rallies in Louisiana, Colorado, and Tennessee this year. The more you are able to ride your Ultra, the more you’re going to appreciate it.
New subsciber (Crossover from HDR) - Congratulations on your new bike. Beautiful Limited. I have stopped at Steel City a couple times and they were always very nice to talk to. I travel for work and have been to over 100 dealers and you just know when a dealer is in business to take care of customers vs. just push iron out the door. Glad you had a good experience and enjoy the new ride!! Ride Safe!!
have the exact...well almost the exact same bike...mine is Ultra Limited Low...but same color exactly...love the bike...only think I don't have is the heated grips...mine also had 1475 miles on it when I bought it...had it a month now..congrats on the bike
Congratulations on a great bike.! I put over 15000 miles on my 2018 Ultra, along with a ride to the 115th anniversary celebration in Milwaukee, last year and enjoyed almost every one of them. What a great ride.
that celebration had to be cool. I love this bike so far and hope to put tons of miles on it like you. Thanks for joining my channel, where are you from?
Congratulations to ya & the story behind buying the bike. We bought a pair of '90 softails off Bill before he got to greedie.Thunder worked with us fairly well on our latest purchase. Its great steelcity seems like homebase for you. Going back for bell was priceless.
Good Luck with the new Ride...Hope you have many Happy Miles of Smiles on her...we have a lot in common, an F150, and a Harley, can't get better than that...Ride Safe!
Thought I would give you a try. I was listening to HDR and he suggested we check you out. I enjoyed this video and look forward to viewing more. Take care young man. Ed
Got myself a 2018 last year except mine is all black, hopefully you looked into led lights already as they make a difference in seeing and being seen. Haven’t had mine on any long trips but have rented two in different states and rode through different states. People gripe all about the Harley status which I don’t buy into just ride a Harley because, well by your video, you know how nice they are
I haven’t looked at the lights yet but plan too. Really only has a month with it before this dang winter. How many miles you have on? I am doing Bike Week in Daytona next month. Thanks for watching
Only 2000 as last year was a bad one with work and was sick half the year. HDR can show you the leds as I know he has put some on. I have a few videos on here not as strong as y’all are yet on here
Gorgeous bike! I’ve seen that color scheme on both the RoadGlide Ultra and the Ultra Limited and it’s one of my favorites. Just paid off my 2015 Ultra Limited and I really enjoy the suspension on the newer bikes so I’m looking to add a RoadGlide special to the stable. Buying the prior year model when the new model comes out saves a lot of money but I’ll wait a year and get the 2019 cuz the radio is so much better, there’s no comparison. Ride safe!
Thanks and I do like the color and the suspension is the best part of the ride to me. I agree on the radio and considered the the 19 foot for the same reason. I also thought about the road glide but something about the look that didn’t hit me like this bike did. Ride safe!
I have a question for you.. on my pick up truck I replaced the tires recently.. insisted on having them nitrogen filled.. Run cooler keep the same pressure without loosing any.. and nitrogen doesn’t condense so no chance of condensation inside the tires which translates into longer life of the tires ... so why can’t I have bike tires also nitrogen filled.. not gonna be 100% but will be around 92-94 % nitrogen.. there’s always gonna be a little air inside the tires no matter what you do..
The motor on mine has the stage 1 and I have spent quite a bit of time tuning so the power increase is minimal between mine and the new one but the suspension on the new one is very noticeable. Working with some shops to see what kind of deal I can get then I guess I will have to "shit or get off of the pot" as my wife would say...lol
hahaha, so the stage 1 worth it to you? I put new pipes on my SGS before trading it of course, ouch. Not sure what I will do with this one yet. Good luck on the decision, have all winter to think about it?
I did the full stage 1. Not just what the dealer calls a stage 1. New headpipes without cars, high flow air cleaner, high flow mufflers, and an FP3 tuner. I did beaucoup tuning including throttle progressivity set at a 1:1 ratio to eliminate the throttle lag.... So, was the stage one worth it? Yeah it was!!. Now keep in mind that I am comparing my motor to a stock 107CI M8 never rode an M8 107 or 114 with a stage 1. But that is something for me to consider too. The decision doesn't get any easier the more I think about it..lol
My exact style of riding. The sound is phenomenal. I once rode a used 1997 Goldwing. At 64 I often think about Harley but? Never acted on the many urges. One of my issues are noise. Group riding can be obnoxiously LOUD to my eardrums. As I lost much of my hearing in my military life. Goldwing group riding was mellower, less booze oriented-also having a staggered riding formation mandate for on the road safety maneuvering if say a tire blew. Its a toss-up really. I love both brands of bikes. My knees cannot be used to back a heavy machine period. The trike, I love it, but damn its expensive. The sound of the reverse electric motor I find to be Horrid! Makes the machine sound as if cheap ain’t cheap enough. I find it unacceptable such terrible engineering. But, as a none rider, I enjoyed your letting me ride along with you just to get my imagination into those moments of wind, bugs, the drone from the exhaust, the sense of freedom, almost like a flying experience. Ride safe. Cheers! Gary
Gary I really appreciate you watch in the video and you’re right the bike is heavy. I wonder if someday I will be like you are and ride a trick. One of these days I’m going to test ride wind and you’re right they look very expensive. I don’t get the reverse issue but have heard them as well, awful. Be safe brother and keep checking in, I appreciate you
O yea have a 04 ultra classic now in show room condition putting it up for sale Baltimore Harley has a new 18 leftover it’s that olive green and blk for a good deal
I've been riding a Goldwing for the past 14 years. I have rode a Road King for Police training, but never owned one until know. Feel like a kid at Christmas.@@BoDean52
My 2018 (115th anniversary edition has a special plaque on the tank that tell what number of 3700 total bikes built that year, Is yours an anniversary edition too? Thanks.
Hey Joe thanks for checking in on the video and channel, really appreciate that. We have all been where you’re at right now and I hope that that bike happens for you soon. Texas weather sounds perfect to us they get winter in the north. Be safe.
Congrats! Beautiful bike. Don’t feel too bad about the bell. I forgot mine when I traded up. Called the dealer and asked them to hang on to it for me!
.
LOVE that bike! When I upgrade from my Road King it will be to an Ultra Limited too. Congrats!
.
Very happy for you and the Mrs. Congratulations! May you put many miles on her and build life long memories. Ride Safe

Hi Phil, I am not the right guy to help you with that one. I know that some people are true believers in that though. Ride safe brother.
Congrats on the new scooter!! Struggling myself with whether or not to get a new Limited. I have a 14 Limited now.
The new motor and suspension is amazing but understand, big purchase
