THANK YOU. I've been looking for this exact sort of video; we have the same hair- length, color, texture and hold. This helps me make my choice in buying an iron! xxx
Great informative video bekah, i have been looking for the difference since yesterday night but couldn't find anything. Just now got your 1. Its highly helpful thanks once again 👍
Thank you. I have the 1 inch and love it since I have very straight hair so it keeps my curl up for 3 days. Now I’m getting the 1.25 inches for a different look. Before watching your video I thought I needed the 1.5 inches. Thank you so much. Very surprised that .25 inches already makes a difference.
Thank you so much! I've been looking into curling irons and was so confused about which barrel to get, was afraid the 1 1/4 would be too big, but seeing both results on your hair, it's definitely what I'm looking for.
1 inch for the win! Ordering from Amazon, thanks for the comparison because I was contemplating but I have medium to long hair and I love the way yours came out!
Have a 1" hot tools from when my hair grazed my shoulders, and now that it's similarly long to yours I've been trying to figure out what size to get to add a little wave since it's too long to scrunch and air dry anymore. Did not consider the extra .25" would come out with that nice loose look, figured I'd have to get in the 1.5-2" territory!
Wow! This explains and shows perfectly why my hair keeps looking so messy (almost frizzy IMO) I have been using the 1 inch for so long. I finally picked up a 1 1/4 inch today and I’m excited to use it. I’ve got long thick hair but the actual strands are fine.
@@Bekah_and_co_prohair it went SO good, your video actually helped me so much. My curls are much better as far as structure goes now I just need to find a way to make them stay longer. But just for one evening it’s perfect. I don’t have any complaints.
I love the 1 1/4 (32mm here in the UK??) but as someone with veeeery straight hair I think the 1 inch might be a safer option for me since my hair doesn’t like to hold a curl at all 😭😭 this was very helpful. Thank you! X
yes! 1" would be best for you. Also make sure you're using a good hold product before you dry. And maybe a volumizing shampoo and conditioner. Let me know if you want some recommendations
Yes it should as long as you use hairspray and let the curls cool off before you rake through them. Since it’s your wedding I’d def hit them with more hairspray right after you curl. Congratulations by the way!
Hey Bekah, if you brush out the curls made using the 1 inch iron a little more (after they have cooled), can you get it to look like the 1.25 inch iron result?
I totally get it!! Your hair is so beautiful with or without styling!! I should have you come on a teach us some braids. Do you still braid your hair a lot?
Aww, thanks! After cutting my hair last year I braid less, but I still like to braid my hair occasionally :) My favorite hairstyle right now is one that makes me feel like an elf from LOtR 😊🙃😄
Is the extra long barrel still suitable for short hair? I have long hair now but might want to cut my hair at some point. Was wondering if you thought the wand is versatile enough?
Thank you so much Bekah. Your hair looks gorgeous! I have med short VERY FINE hair. I would like the look of the 1" in curls but with my length of hair, what curling iron would you suggest? And any curls I have ever put in my hair, they slip out within an hour or so. My curls just slips through my hair! And again, what are the products you suggest? Also (sorry!) do you measure the circumference of the barrel of the curling iron to get the size of the iron? Thank you so much!
I would say the 1" would be fine for you. Make sure you're using a hold product before drying. Thickening spray by Bumble and Bumble is good. Or pure volume shampoo and conditioner by pureology to get some texture in it to hold your curls.
I literally scanned your video while in the aisles at Ulta today. Nobody was available to help me so I figured I’d turn to UA-cam, lol. Your content came in clutch. I went with the 1.25 curling iron. Thanks again!
If you have long hair the bigger waves work, but if you have collar bone length the bigger waves will fall out and be flat within 3 hours. The 1 inch lasts wayyy longer and continually looks good
This is so true!!!!! I just tried the 1.25 inch yesterday after using my 1 inch all this time on my shoulder length hair and my waves/curls didn't last as long even though I used the same products and technique!
I love the look of the 1-1/4" iron more than the 1' but I've heard that 1" is a lot more versatile. Soooo confused. My hair goes to the middle of my back. Also, I've heard a lot about Kristin Ess irons at a similar price point. Are they better than these? Thanks for the video and comparison!
I haven’t used the Kristin Ess iron so I’m not sure. I’ve used hot tools forever and have always had a good experience. 1” is definitely more versatile. You can always use the one inch and brush through the curls while they are still warm and you can get a similar look at the 1.25”

Yay! I’m so glad I could help. Any other hair tips you’d like to see??
I absolutely love the way the 1.25 inch barrel looks on long hair like this.
Very cool, by the looks you got, I think combining the two would look amazingly natural and bohemian.
I didn’t realize there was such a huge difference in just 1/4 inch! LOVE the bigger waves. More beauty tips, please :)
Yay!! Yeah, it doesn’t seem like it would make that much of a difference, but it does. Thank you for your feedback!!! More to come!

What are some good hold product? I know you recommended the Kerastase one but it’s not easily accessible in NZ
Wow I love your video, you explained everything so good and quick, congrats on your video this is soo coool!!
Thank you! I’m glad you liked it
How do you get the tip to stop spinning on the one inch barrel?!? It’s driving me craaaaazy
Great review, very helpful. Personally I like 1 1/4 inch for a more polished look for work.
I can't thank you enough for this video!!! 💕 I'm ready to buy now!
You’re welcome! Yay!
Thank u so much💚
I think so I'll get 28mm...I can't decide
So I have thin hair which do u suggest?
Depends on your length or style you want
Thank you. This video is super helpful! I saved your video so I can reference it the next time I curl my hair.
👍
I am doing my own hair for my wedding and want waves. it seems like the 1.25 makes sense and should last the full day? For medium length hair

Yes!
Not always… it depends on your hair. If you tried before the cooked you might have a better chance, but then the curl wouldn’t hold as well.
seriously binge watching all your videos lol
🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡 yay!!!
Thank you
Awesome video! So informative! Thank you 😀
Glad you enjoyed it!
What is the good size for big beach waves?
1” brushed out.
Excellent video, you explained it all so I could understand, getting the 1 inch.🥰
Wonderful! I’m so happy

Which size would you say gives more noticeable volume for thin hair?
Probably the 1"

Tem link?
What is the length of the barrel for this extended length version? Thank you!
I’m not sure. There’s a link in the description that will lead you to the specs.
I got 1 inch for longevity!!!! I like to curl my hair once and make it last to curly to wavy for 4 days!!!
Thank you!!!!
Great choice!

Of course!
What is the purpose of pre heating the strand?
It helps smooth the hair strand if it’s curly or frizzy and it helps distribute the heat more evenly so you can curl it faster/helps it curl better.

Extended barrel!?! I have long think hair and the extended barrel will work better than the regular size barrel.
Yes!!! You need an extended barrel!
Both
my hair is insanely thick....not sure I can do this!
That’s valid. Try taking smaller sections and give yourself time to practice!
Wonder if anyone’s told you that you look quite similar to actress Olivia Colman!
Lol, yes… many time! 😅
Curlier or more textured hair is not necessarily “messy”, “dirty”, or “unprofessional”! I think both look great 😊
