Since finding your channel in August 2020 my mental health has greatly improved. I’ve watched countless hours of amazing views which has helped me forget about things that used to get me down. Thankyou for this ❤️
I've traveled with you over the mountain many times, but this is by far and away the most scenic trip of them all. The light and the views were fantastic. Thank you RCG.
Oh, and others have probably said this before me, but I appreciate the way you deal with the camera so we are not blinded as we exit every tunnel. So considerate:-)
This one fooled me. It was looking more and more menacing, and just when I think it's gonna get stormy, around 58 minutes, bam!, all that brilliant Sunlight over the valley. Stunning. I also love the Desolate tone this trip takes on for a while there. I seen houses and buildings, but no people in sight. Just you and the train zipping along. Surreal and gorgeous all at once. Cheers
I watch and about your videos, I am fascinated every time by the beauty of Norway, and by your perfect technical professionalism. The explanations of the signals, of the safety, demonstrate your great passion that you put into your work. ❤❤❤
I so enjoy a new video from railcowgirl; i'm retired and go to her channel every day, and when there's a new video, it's almost like Christmas!!! Thank you so much for bringing us along on your voyages!
Here in Tucson Arizona today, a new record high for June 15th. It was officially 115 Degrees Fahrenheit. Ouch. Thanks for cooling me off for awhile with this chilly ride
@@RailCowGirl Thanks RCG. All your trips cool me down, literally and figuratively🌝. As if the heat isn't bad enough (this is the 6th consecutive day over 113) we also have at least 10 different wildfires burning up our beautiful state right now, maybe more. I really have a new respect for the men and women fighting them. They're getting the double whammy; the intense heat of the 🔥 along with the sizzling 🌞
RCG Congrats on another great video, like the clarity and light management, even in tunnel transition. Awesome equipment you now have. Thanks for sharing your hard work in the editing.
RCG has done it again! How impressive the improvements are - the derailer was new to me, more info. The unsuspecting and involuntary cowboys - fellow employees having their privacy protected - on the platforms are much better than putting some pixelation on them - a fun factor that they are surely liking, just as I am. The flat spot on a wheel (possibly on both wheels on the same axle) was probably on the front bogie because it was so easy to hear. And the double horn at Finse-Tunnel's highest point instead of a text message is another fun factor for all of us regular viewers. RCG you have a very welcome sense of humour - especially in these so depressing times.
Just upgraded to a bigger TV with 4K, my TV is mainly my computer monitor also. It's all your fault! Just kidding😉, but the better to watch your videos. Like the shunting and waiting at the beginning, gives a little insight to what it's really like sometimes. People don't realize how much hurry up and wait is involved in the transportation game. This is one of my favorite over the pass winter time videos.
Thank you for the new video I'm fascinated as always with your beautiful country. My grandfather was a retired conductor on the Southern run on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi many, many years ago🇺🇸🥰
Amazing countryside. I have to admit, though, I cannot imagine living in such a desolate, unwelcoming environment. Love your videos!!! Thank you for sharing your trips with us!
@@RailCowGirl Thank you for responding, however, age and finances are a major factor! And so, I shall continue to enjoy the beautiful scenery that you bring to my home with your camera video's! Again, thank you greatly for a personal response, and I wish you safe travels over your railways! 💖💖💖
I loved the tunnel names and the other information you included. Wow! Winter isn't releasing her grip over the mountain quite yet. Thanks for another wonderful and informative video! You keep out doing yourself, RCG!
I think was I love most about your vids is the journey to the train cab. Gives is a real every day event(this is how I start my day on the job type of thing). Dam pretty scenery some of it scary, I just wouldn't want to be caught out in the snow even in the correct clothing.
2:02 Lol :)) I like the introduction again, it's not just a ride, but also the beginning that you have to sleep somewhere, go to the set, revive it ... it won't work on its own. Nice work, just keep going. He greets the driver from the Czech Republic
What a beautiful ride! The snow-capped mountains were awesome! Norway must be beautiful in the Spring,Summer and Autumn as well.. Great vlog👍and God bless✝️❤️
Thanks for this misty (up to the mounting pass) trip! It was interesting to see the derailer contraption at the beginning of the journey, I have never seen it anywhere before.
Blackmagic has been such a favourite of my camera as a filmmaker and to see it utilised in the most scenic locations is so comforting. As a filmmaker you’ve really inspired my creativity and imagination and I’ve already started writing a feature film in which most of the film will be cabin recordings with a story Ofcourse. I would love to collaborate with you on that once I have something solid. Also, you’re so talented and amazing, I’m pretty sure we all as your viewers would love to hear more about your own journey of becoming a train operator and engineer, that’d be truly satisfying, thanks for such meditative videos, you’re doing a phenomenal job !!
Ah, I see at the beginning the new addition to the cab's items, hand sanitizer. Also like your pointing to that pile of sand and rocks blocking your path, true fall risk. I have now watched the whole video and really enjoyed it, as I always do with your cab rides. Winter in your part of Norway is beautiful with the green trees against the white snow. Just a little reminder of something you forgot, at the 1:55 mark you passed a passing loop and forgot to put in its name as you had been doing for the whole ride. Again thank you so much and keep these coming.
This is the best video so far!! And the tunnels, oh my!!! So many of them! I have so many questions about the railway, such as how long it takes to cut through a mountain, lol, and when did they start building these railways through the mountains! Living on the prairies in Saskatchewan, Canada I can't begin to imagine how different life is there! Thanks so much for keeping me so entertained during this pandemic RCG; I don't have a minute to be bored!!

0:36:00 first touch of the bottom of the clouds
0:43:15 fresh snow on the shore of the lake before Vieren below the cloud bottom

1:55:25 _only_ the station building is sunlit
1:59:05 melting lake on the descent
2:01:45 melting lake end on the descent

You think? :) I'm kind of glad we need to walk distances, since we're sitting still most of the day :) Walking is healthy :D
All of these new buildings going up next to the gondola station along the track. Are they apartments? Resorts? Offices? A lot of new construction!
The buildings next to the lower gondola station is Scandic Hotel Voss and an office building housing Visit Voss among others.
