@@kel8129 Thank you for watching! It sounds like you may have accidentally switched from the Print Layout view to the Web Layout view. The buttons to switch between these views are on the very bottom of the screen, on the right side near the zoom slider. Hopefully that helps!

Finally. I was trying to adjust only the up down vertical of the whole document. I could only adjust one page at a time. If I selected Ctrl + A, the left side vertical ruler would dissapear. Finally, when she said to try the Layout tab, I found the margins button and could change the whole document to fit the way I liked. Thank you. Very helpful.

Hi, Erin thanks for the upload. Have a question about how to enable margins in the printing area I mean on the printing screen where we can move right or left margin and change the document alignment.

Thank you so much for watching! From the Print screen (File > Print), select the small "Print Setup" text link under the main Settings options. That should open the Page Setup dialog box where you can adjust the margins for printing. Best of luck!

@@danieldelatorre9564 Margins are generally determined by the book formatter in conjunction with the printer, rather than an editor such as myself, so I'm afraid I can't offer any advice for print publications. Best of luck!

Thanks for your video.
Kindly help me to know how to set the margin in a a way that will not change by itself.
I did all that you demonstrated (in this video) and the page and the page setup were perfect. However, whenever I resume my document, I see but the document went back to it's original state where the words are to both side. So close to both left and right that I am not able read some words.
I did not adjust the percentage key view (- ____/____ +) at the bottom right-hand corner at bottom. This is happening everytime when I opened the document.
Please, I need to know how to permanently correct it.

I am looking for details of how to determine what sizes to set the header, footer and margins in page layout. Not "how" to set them but how to determine the sizes to meet my needs. And I am also unsure about the page layout markings when headers and footers open and close. Maybe these are all separate issues but they appear to me to be linked. It's not clear in most videos what the display is showing. Although your presentations are about the clearest I have ever experienced. However, this aspect of Word seems to have been missed by most presenters.
