I think the supervisor has been dead for years and the droids just continue following their programming. Jod arrived in a ship that is used to retrieve credits to deliver to the republic (like a Star Wars Galaxy armored truck), so the droids led him straight to the vaults as per their programming. I think the pirates will get past the barrier but Neel will remember the big gun on the roof of the school that Hayna showed him. I assume At-Attin has one as well.

And this is why you get Jude Law...love that they went even darker with his character this episode, it really heightens the tension and the stakes. The vaults are full because no one has been there for a very long time, like High Republic long time when there were Republic emissaries. I think the planet has been on autopilot since whatever happened that severed them from the central gov't...which makes me think that the Supervisor is just a ghost in the machine, especially since the message sounds like just an automated alert not an actual announcement by a living person. There are so many possible ways the finale could go...they really managed to elevate the suspense with each episode...is it next week yet????!!!
Knew exactly which scene that thumbnail was about before watching - my reaction was exactly the same 😱 Also, I bet every UK viewer said "that's Stephen Fry" when the Supervisor started talking - guess he isn't a big name in the States Sad that is it is the final episode next week. Roll on April and Andor S2
Steven Fry is well known here, but not so well known we all recognize his voice immediately. I did recognize that he was familiar, but didn’t place it. I’m so happy he’s in Star Wars now, he seems like our people.
Hello again, guys! This episode started reminding me of ET, when Elliott was building the communicator for ET to "phone home." Even the communicator resembles the ET family spaceship. Also, I'm not gonna lie, I teared up a bit almost at the end, before Jod showed up with the damn lightsaber.... ASSHOLE! Let's see what the next last episodes could bring to the table. Love you guys, as always, especially your reactions. 💜
They know exactly who Jod is. They put those clamps on the ship, and the droid told the kids travel outside the barrier is not permitted. Why would it say that if it didn't know who the kids were? Jod is in for a rude awakening.
Thank you for the headphone warning. I turned down the volume to near mute, but by noise cancellation Bose headphones still rattled my ears. I'm near deaf now, but oh well, waiting next week's finale and you ladies' fine reactions.
I seriously hope they don't pull yet another swerve with Jod next episode to turn him good again. He's perfect as a sleemo baddo. At first I thought they were playing too fast and loose with him, but if he stays this way he's perfect. Tell you what they DID play too fast and loose with... 33. For every time he's taken down multiple armed people by himself, he's also been taken down like a chump xD
Note that they referred to “Republic Emissaries” but we are in the New Republic era. This planet has been out of touch since well before the Clone Wars, in fact for hundreds of years. Hence there are no Republic Emissaries anymore. However. Kh’ymm is still out there with a knowledge of At Attin and she has a connection to the New Republic.
20:30 Do mints anywhere stop making money? That issue aside, keep in mind that they haven't had contact with the outside worlds for several generations--contacting the outside world is strickly prohibited. The children told Khy'mm that they study about Aldoran and Coruscant at school. What they said caught Khy'mm and the audience, for sure, off guard--Khy'mm shot back with, "missed the war did you?" We also learned from Khy'mm's star chart, that At Attin and the other old worlds were from the Old Republic, which should be a thousand or so years ago--before the Acolyte! Heck, Brutus said the ship was old in this episode! Anyway, if your job was to live a peaceful life with your family on a world with no war or strife of any kind, would you wonder what was going on? I don't think I would. Everyone was living the ideal life. Everyone had a home of comforts, education and health--KB was well taken care of after her accident. I can't wait to see the next episode. Jod's turn was shocking for sure. I still can't quite believe it myself. Is this real? He cut SM-33's head off, but he carefully moved the rat creature living in his eye aside with his boot--he didn't kick it aside. Why not? He threated the children, but he still hasn't hurt them. He wanted the vault and its credits, yet he didn't leave the vault with any credits on his person--he left Tak Rennod's lair dropped in treasures. Is this part of the "adventure" he was trying to sell Wim on? How does this end? I kind of feel like Jod wants out of the pirate life he's in, but doesn't have a way out. All of the pirates aren't bad, the woman who keeps saving him has some sort of connection to him. Is she a former Jedi too? His master?
Hello there! I hope you both are doing well. 💜 Great reactions once again! 😊 Those safety droids are very annoying. I want to see more GONK:s and less security droids. Dammit, Jod! 😠 I wished Brutus would have survived this show but I guess he just wasn't very intelligent in the end. He should have just thrown Jod out of that airlock from the beginning. 🙄 They can probably fix SM-33 later. Or at least hope so since he's a highlight and a hilarious character. Jod better not hurt anyone that we care about in the final episode. 😱 I don't like him at all now. The kids were warned a lot about not trusting Jod (or whatever his real name is) though but I get it he was a "grown up" who seemed nice until he showed his true colors. I'm glad that the kids got to hug their parents again! I hope that Neel will attack the rest of pirates with the huge gun on the school roof. I love this show so much!
Hi My Luvs! Such a fun episode. Decided I really really dislike Jod. Screamed at the screen. Said many words that would’ve gotten my mouth washed out with soap! Not sure what will happen next week. Also, how will they react when they find out the Jedi, the Republic, and everything is so different. I wonder how many years has gone by since the Rebellion ended? We know the parents end up with the kids in the Supervisors tower…(not a spoiler…was in the promos!). I’m hoping the kids get to go off together in another season….
@RemoteRebels the reason he’s rude and giving into his dark emotions cuse of fear and jealousy that he felt against the kids that they had parents that loved them and were there for em when his weren’t and gave him up to the Jedi and he sees his younger self in wymm and others when he was a youngling order 66 survivor I think he was one of the young’s that asked anakin* they are too many of them sentence* that’s why he did the same Jedi lightsaber stance like anakin did when he turned on the saber like anakin did and that’s why he’s using his anger at the kids cuse he sees his younger self in the kids and same situation that he was in that he hated when he said those words to them about being weak and sheltered kids and calling wymm poor boy and saying what what are you gunna do about it he was actually talking about himself when he was in the same situation as them he hated seeing his younger self in them even tho it’s a theory but still he’s taking it out on them
@RemoteRebels even he could be one of the younglings in the same room with the younglings that anakin was in and he called them weak cuse of his experience in the order 66 temple or elsewhere he was talking about himself and put it on them he could be ether a youngling or padawan since he doesn’t know how to use a lightsaber only swinging it unless he dint have lightsaber training yet at the time idk if he’s one of the younglings from the clone wars that was with Ashoka to get his Kyber crystal the one was was arrogant and left one of his padawan friends to die when she was trapped before he came back to her cuse it doesn’t make any sense if he was a son of a order 66 survivor otherwise he wouldn’t be acting like he acting
Gotta say, when I heard they were basing this on the Goonies I was prepared to hate it. The Goonies is a terribly dated movie with a lot of cruelty in it towards those who are different. I also hate pirate stories, because pirates are just brigands with a ship and should not be glorified. But this show has been good, and seems to be avoiding the pitfalls of the movie that inspired it.
Just like I was 100% right in stating that At Adden would turn out to be the Fort Knox or the Mint of the Old Republic and was 100% wrong about the redemption arc that I thought Jad would take. I am 100% sure that the supervisor is a droid and Jad's bigoted distain of droids Is going to burn him in the long run. This is the Star Wars project I was least looking forward to, but because I love Star Wars I was willing to watch it and have been pleasantly surprised. Again, it's a kids show. That's for kids from 8 to 80. And of course, Andor's next, and that will be an adult, serious theme Star Wars show that I am really looking forward to.
"Costco of credits"...well done!

I'm calling it, the Supervisor is a Jedi master, who will deal with Jod.
In memory of SM-33, please say at the last episode, "Can't say i remember no At Attin!" In his voice.
