I'm actually just finishing up Jaleel White's autobiography _Growing Up Urkel_ right now and that made me laugh. He was on Jason Alexander's podcast a month ago and I immediately grabbed the book just because he seemed so sincere in the episode. I guess you never truly know, but he seems like a nice dude with a good head on his shoulders.
Jod’s speech about letting go of attachments is a very clear reference to the Jedi dogma. And he straight-up quotes Qui-Gon Jin when he says, “Your focus determines your reality.”
@paulhewes7333 - or washed out / walked away before his trials, and hid after. I do think he was probably at least a Palawan who didn't quite make it to knight for whatever reason though.
@@paulhewes7333 Jude Law is a bit older than most would be. This show would be set in, what, 30 years after order 66? And Jude Law himself is 52. Assuming Silvo is the same age (if no other evidence exists I generally assume a character is the age of the actor) he would have been 20-25 when order 66 was enacted. A very old Padawan/Young Knight. I personally prefer the idea that he was never a Jedi at all, but just simply has force abilities. In the canon there are more groups who wield the force than the Jedi alone not to mention independent operators. It also seems to be an ability he rarely uses.
@neodigremo I agree with all of this. Though it won’t be a deal breaker for me or anything if he does turn out to have had some direct involvement with the Order, I really, REALLY want the franchise to start doubling down on the fact that everyone has the potential to use the Force, and not everyone that actually does belongs to the Jedi, the Sith, or ANY larger cult/order.
They really don't hold back on the violence in this show, which is quite refreshing, even if it's mostly offscreen. That might actually make it better.
I had my own “reactor” moment when watching this with my family. When they were walking around the treasure room a said “10 bucks whim finds a lightsaber” the VERY NEXT SHOT was of the lightsaber. It is safe to say I lost it 🤣.
Fun reaction, guys! I love this show so much and I'm happy that I started watching it! ❤ I hope more people will watch it as well. It's a fun and engaging show with great actors, great writing and awesome directors.
We have seen restraining bolts right from the start in a new hope and return of the Jedi. We also saw them in clone wars, the bad batch, and rebels. But sure, it is a robot Cartman device.
#AdamLovesShipsNames In The Sims I built a replica of the Millennium Falcon on stilts as a house, I called it the Centennial Chickenhawk, surprisingly it got a few downloads from other players. My choice of pirate ship in Star Wars would be a YV-666 like Bossk's Hounds Tooth, I'd call it Broken Coccyx after my high school heavy metal garage band.
Even though I knew what the Gooning slang meant, I was curious as to what the google description would be to arouse such a reaction from Adam and Jay…and I was really surprised by how detailed google got. Like, it really only needed one sentence to define gooning, but it gave a full adult dissertation on the subject lol.
I’m absolutely loving this series ❤ I like to think that when Jay see’s a ship he loves, he has a Benny from Lego movie moment “SPACESHIP”. Also the one playing pokkit voices Merida from Pixar Brave!!
Yes it took time for it to become popular but i dont know for yall but its the first star wars product i havent heard the usual hardcore fans criticizing or tearing it in a loooong time. And deservedly so i think, man is this show good!! Some people were saying maybe cause of the kids but if we remember Jake Lloyd, no one is too young for their hate 😅
@@Blinkptx yeah i know episode 4 specifically too was called filler by some channels i watch so im guessing there might be more complaints but like for example, i wasnt watching acolyte at all but jnew most complain since it was so loud from everywhere haha
This is the best Star Wars since The Last Jedi and the final four episodes of The Clone Wars! Also, I’m sure you’ve been buried under comments pointing out you misspelled Meriadoc Brandybuck.
Such a fun show. Plus. It's Pirates. In Star wars. In live action. And it's....good. I'm soooo happy it's not shit. It does such a good job of adding cool new Star Wars shit into the universe. The ships. Outfits and costumes. Weapons and druids and tech in general.
I hated, and I mean HATED, the whole thing they did in Kenobi where they hid Leia in a trench coat and the Imperials were just like, 'okay', (like, that episode as a whole may have been one of the worst episodes of SW television I've ever seen) but the 'honored elders' totally worked for me, haha.
I have a crazy theory that wim mother is Capt tak. At some point in her pirate life she found attin meets wims fother and falls in love with him. She try’s to leave her pirate life behind but few months or years later she realized that her crew might be looking for her and find attin. So she leaves her family behind to keep them self and she murders her hole crew and makes up the hole story of capt tak and spreads it as a child hood pirate story and gos in to hiding to never been seen again to keep her true treasure safe
That's a theory but no, its implied that the story Captain Tak is very old plus the skeletons wouldn't have looked the way they did after less than 10 years (guessing at Wims age).
@@xboxman1991 I mean that the story has been around for several decades in universe, Wim could possibly be a descendant of Captain Tak but I think being his mom is stretch too far. I will gladly accept being wrong if it comes down to it.
Yeah, we know why it took so long for people to get on The Crew. Star Wars took a Major PR hit from The Acolyte, and their reputation was already sporting 3 black eyes from the tragic Star Wars films that didnt happen…But this show deserves to be praised and appreciated for what it is.

Loads of lost potential by making the New Republic a running joke. Or Parks and Rec: Star Wars. A comedy set on some lesser known planet.
Propably an unpopular opinion but I'm with Jod. So far the kids have done nothing but undermine his authority as an adult. Now that he finally plays with the same rules, they suddenly start crying "you're a grown-up, it's not fair". The fact that he is a grown-up didn't matter before, why should it matter now?
