Wonderful information to have! It’s so infuriating to pull out your favorite Lucky top to find a moth hole in the front (always in the front! 🤔). I’m gonna give the fusible knit a try!
It is always in the front! 😁 I recently had to patch a hole in my T and I used the knit interfacing.
What brand of knit fusing do you use?
I really like the interfacing Emma One Sock sells www.emmaonesock.com/fabrics/31173 (not an affiliate link) but I will also use Pellon brand. Their lightweight tricot - in white or black is called “Pellon Easy Knit Tricot EK130”.
Great video! FYI: Tricot is pronounced tree-co.
Thank you - and, now that you say that, I'm guessing it's French? or French origin? Thanks for letting me know
No idea the origin of the word. My first job was working in a fabric store in the late 1970's. That was the first time I heard of the fabric. Half of women sewists say Tree-co, the others half say Tree-cot. @@TheDailySew
Great experiment and video Mary! Thank you for answering all my questions 🙌
hey, thanks so much for asking the questions!
I had to watch this a couple of times to sort out my question/statement. I'm thinking that the people at Alene's might have made a marketing mistake at some point. A 72 hour curing time followed by only handwashing?! I want to know who has a cotton piece of clothing that they love that much that they'd got through all that. Madness! Although I do have some favorite pairs of sweats...
Great video. Nice product comparison.
On second thought I think that glue must be intended for applying something on top of the T-shirt - so you don't see the glue bleed through. Like Rhinestones? or perhaps a large hardcore punk DIY patch? Even better a bedazzled Hardcore Punk patch. ;-)
@@TheDailySew My mind went to a Misfits logo, but that's so last week. Hah!
