Yikes ok so it’s been a year since I’ve uploaded this but people seem to be VERY concerned about this. I genuinely didn’t know the “lips patch” was the Rolling Stones logo. I know now due to the hundreds of comments correcting me. I feel like it’s not that dramatic but ya girl ain’t tryna offend anyone

Well, she didn't know the Rolling Stones logo, but she did a fabulous job explaining how to make patches.
Neither did she know the „white shiney things“ are highlights but clearly she killed it haha...

I've tried so many different ways of making my own patches for about 5 years and the hot glue iron-on is something i never thought of, i love it!
The fusible web stabilizer is so expensive. I hope the hot glue holds through the wash. I think most people sew these on, anyways.
I love your channels and DIY's I can't believe you don't have like 10 million subscribers your DIY's are real, affordable and so fantastic. You don't just label your title DIY patches and take an old patch and paint it. You're one of my favorite UA-camrs and I love the great work you into your videos. You are so magnificently creative and I don't know how you come up with the ideas but I can't wait for more

I know your comment is two years ago but I can't stand it when people think they are correct so...
Trend is something that comes and goes. It WAS a trend DURING the 80's but it wasn't after the following years until two years ago. Trend is something current and is a CHANGE. Saying that it's a trend SINCE the 80's is downright inaccurate.
@@minipeeny9475 This person's point is that millennials have no culture. Constantly, we are ripping off things from the past and turning them into pansy-ass trends. Even then, back in the 80's, wearing patches on clothing wasn't really a trend. If anything, patches were like decorations or tattoos for your clothing. It was something you did to tell others what you represent. As a 21st century punker, I say fuck my snowflake generation and it's trends. >:(

@@catee4594 I guess you're right. I suppose when I say the term "ripping off", I mean that millennials are bringing it back for the wrong reasons. They bring it back as a trend, which means they do it because it's popular and they think it makes them chic unique and cool. They desecrate the entire meaning of wearing a patch. Wearing a patch is about being yourself, showing what you represent, and not giving a shit about what others think unless they like your patch and compliment you about it. In other words, it's about being yourself, not popular or trendy. Not to mention, millennials don't give credit to the fact that patch wearing was invented back in the '80s. They essentially re-invent the wheel and pass it off as the popular new thing to do, hence ripping it off. Look, all I'm saying is if you're going to bring back something from the past, such as patch wearing, do it in a subtle manner. Moreover, do it for yourself, do it because it's about who you are. Don't do it for others or because it's popular or because you think it makes you look cool. Do it for you man. Ya dig my gist?
@@angryworkbenchproductions8183 well. I mean people are still using patches to show what they like otherwise they wouldn’t wear them right? Especially if you make your own patches- you choose something you like- even if the only reason you like it is because it is aesthetically appealing to you. That’s still a thing. Your perception of the world and its aesthetic is still unique.
Also many young people have trouble building a stable personality- that’s something that so many struggle with. And yeah, following trends is easy. It’s an easy way to connect to a group. But it’s also a step on the way to forming your own opinions and own personality. Don’t put others down because you had an easy time finding yourself. You’re not on such a moral high ground as you believe yourself to be.
And I don’t think everyone should do things from the past ‚in a subtle manner‘ to hell with that. Let people enjoy things. Let them rediscover things. Let them simply have a good time- these are after all just patches ffs. Maybe some will be interested in learning about they history of patches. Many will not and that’s okay.
Stop being a gate keeper.

I don't understand why people are so triggered she said lips instead of rolling stones or whatever. Alot of people don't know that is not that and often stores will use those lips and just say lips.
