I really enjoyed hearing the audio nuances in the tones on both the Deus II and Manticore, as from a prospective purchase point of view; I really appreciated having the opportunity to hear the tones on both machines really clearly. So, thank you for uploading a very informative video which helps potential purchasers of the Deus II and Manticore make an informed decision. Those two fibula brooches were awesome!
Thanks anthonywestwood8489 We are blessed with our fibula field 😊 And thanks for the kind words, hope the machine audio came out ok unlike the intro🙃 👍😊 good luck
@@DIRTBROSDETECTING The audio from both machines was clear as a bell. Plus, I agree with you about the audio lock-on capabilities of the Minelab machines, as the audio is always punchy and stops you in your tracks. Also, if the intro audio did have a glitch, it was more than compensated by the videography skills! Happy Hunting
Fantastic finds and a great video, thanks for making and sharing. I have the D2 and always wonder about the Manticore, after watching I don't feel like I would be losing or necessarily gaining either if I had the Manticore over the D2! :)
Thanks@@leonardjackman354 12” on a hammered in plough is pretty good for the manticore, suprised me tbh! But yes the D2 has plucked up some deep ones as well😊 cheers
@@Detect-Oregon 11” vs 11” the manticore is just as nice to swing as the d2 for me, I sold my 9” coil for D2 but I wonder how the new 9” coil for the manticore compares?
I don't think you can find a target with either of those detectors I can't find with my Minelab Sovereign or Explorer. Having said that, I do have a Manticore and I love it. Unfortunately, I have found most of the deep targets with my older detectors and now I just don't find many anymore. I really wonder if the investment is really worth it. I'm not talking about new sites, but talking about sites where I've used all my detectors.
I agree, I’m sure all vlf detectors have their limits.. it’s the tricky targets in iron etc that the new machines might uncover. The manticore opened my eyes on a few targets and like the equinox series can pick out very deep signals which have suprised me. I’ve been digging the not so perfect signals and have been surprised at what comes out the ground but then I’m still learning the manticore, lots to come with it thanks 😊👍
i still cant fault the nox 800 is better than both of these at depth way more stable.i have both these machines and still prefer the nox 800 it still the beast in my eyes
I’m sure the nox 800 would find 98% of the manticores, not sure on the stability at depth? I used to get one way hits on the nox on deep targets where the manticore can give you info moving all around the target, not taking anything away from the nox but you can feel they have worked to make it better, just my experience👍

@jasonwow9 thanks. Really not a lot between them, but the manticore has some magic in there.. has opened my eyes a few times
Thanks for the video l find not much difference between them . But the Deus 2 better on ploughed land. Len

Gotta love the D2’s ergonomics, brilliant. Beautifully balanced with that 9” coil. Probably the only place the manticore falls short, my opinion.

Thanks for vid.
No worries ohiofredl😊
Which is the best device for rocks and mountains?
I would say the one with the smallest coil @islamic_chroma👍

First fibula looks like an elephant 🤔.cheers Steve 👍🏻
Good shout @stevetodd9172😊👍
I’ve had so many different types from the field, I think I’ve stumbled on a fibula factory!

Mine lab better build cheaper deus 2 extra bits to expensive manticore only other coil m9 is the best good depth cuts through water very good thinner.
Minelabs are well built but the remote on the D2 is bombproof, thanks @brettellis1837👍
That bullet wasn't from our civil war
Thanks @barrylee742
You’re right definitely not from ours, I think the two I found were 1800’s
Deus 2 lovely detector I'm more than happy with mine super light and very deep I certainly won't be changing.
Thanks @clarkfox7961 it’s a lovely machine to use, love mine😊👍
Note cover for deus to make water proof well get a price mine lab water proof ear phones would be the only extra needed.minelab bloody brilliant.😂
Thanks @brettellis1837
Terrible audio. Had t o stop watching just unbearable.
Thanks @itselectric3906 I was trying out a new iPhone and was hit and miss, looking to purchase a new mic, thanks for the feedback👍
