Hi, I'm one of those random people that youtube randomly suggested your video to me, and I clicked on it as a first time viewer. Thanks for posting this. I'm doing the 'save up for a home arcade' dream while rocking an Arcade 1up cab or two, and I sometimes look for videos on home arcades for inspiration to work hard and keep the money in the bank. I live in a desert with very hard clay soil (Las Vegas), and I always wondered how to get a home with a home arcade, when we don't have basements out here like most people. Doing something like a shed has given me a lot of ideas so thank you!

Turned out great, dude! It's held up pretty well. If it were mine, I'd put a ramp style porch on it. I have one on my mobile home and it makes taking arcade games in and out way way easier.
I wanted a ramp but couldn’t find a way to situate it to make sense. The way my yard slopes and the cost required to make it more convenient would have been too high. Getting games up the stairs isn’t really that bad.
Great job on your project! I believe the weight of the machinery inside would benefit you more than the hurricane anchors-though I do understand your way of thinking. Besides, if you experience winds that move the building, you'll have other things to worry about!😃
Looks like you're ready to build 2 or 3 more as you run out of space :D Found your channel months ago when you first got killer instinct and were struggling to find room for Rush. So glad this came across my feed, awesome to see how far you've come.
I didn’t want to have to hike all those upstairs haha. I also had the issue of door ways not being wide enough. I didn’t intend to have stairs on this building but it ended up that way haha. It’s awesome to have though.

Oh man, basements are a bonus! We don’t have them here in Texas. I’ve only seen a few and my job is pest control so I see tons of houses. My wife took me to Denver once, she lived there for a while and showed me someone’s basement. I was stunned by how huge it was. They’re great for arcades. My only fear would be flooding. Thanks for checking out the video.
TBH I would invest in doing a floor pour for ur foundation. Just saying. Definitely makes a bigger difference depending on where you live, but it also gives you a ton more options for various things with it, like deciding to build an underground bunker 😉 I know it sounds crazy but it's the coolest thing to bust out to company when showing off a place like that. Mine was my man-cave originally until I built it and then decided to build an even bigger underground bunker under it. Then it became like a little chill/smoke game area with my PS4 and PSTV etc so my PS4 can connect to my PS5 and play via system connect etc. But when theu ask about "all these arcade games etc they have been hearing about" and you either pop a latch or in my case I hit a switch that pops up a hidden door. When they get underground via steps albeit slightly tight with head room going down, they see an enormous T.V connected to a custom built walk up 4 player cabinet setup where you can go and choose your games. I did purchase a set of the Terminator 2 gunner arcade games since they come with the guns and everything already setup to play. Then sleeping area off to the side (cause if ur gonna have a bunker it obviously needs to have a sleeping area and food storage just incase. Otherwise u will regret that shit should u need it) and food storage off in a seperate little space I carved out underground that is designed for air flow to keep things much cooler. I

We had a couple of huge Rock Band parties when I had warehouse space for my business. I had tons of lighting and fog machines for them. They were always a lot of fun.
Awesome setup!! Get some sand for you grass. In the areas that won’t regrow, just pour some sand in those areas and it will creep over it more easily. That’s the cheapest and easiest way other than just simply waiting for nature to take its course. You can always seed it and use chemicals but that can get expensive and you seem like the same type of guy as me. Do everything you can yourself and do it for the best deal that won’t screw you over lol.

Rent a tiller and till your yard 3-4 inches. Spread new grass. Rake the seed into the loose soil. Put down hay/straw. Spreading grass food also helps. Water the lawn 30 minutes in the AM and 30 minutes in the evening every day for 2 weeks unless it rains.
A 5 inch aluminum gutter and down spout would divert the water away from the front door. The only reason I could see it’s not there is possibly there isn’t a proper facial board to mount the gutter.
That’s it, there’s really not much to attach the gutter to. It could probably be done if I call a gutter company but I’m not willing to spend the extra money at the moment.
Yeah! It’s a ton of fun that way. I have the toms connection split so I have a blue, yellow and green cymbal for the game. When you play at the pro expert level, you’re almost playing the real song in most cases. I’ve listened to the drum sounds and read the RB chart while playing and it translates pretty well for most songs.
I love it. Gives me some ideas for creating an overflow arcade/mancave. I currently have a basement arcade but I’m running out of room. This is awesome. Well done 🎉❤
Congrats on making your dreams a reality man. I know it sounds hokey but you're an inspiration. Maybe someday I'll listen to my kids and start filming my arcade adventures.
It kind of looks like my old school outside but smaller. Not kidding. I went to DAVE School on the back lot of Universal Studios. Back then the school was in a triple wide trailer with a wood deck in the front. The school was also blue instead of yellow.
I assume somebody has already pointed out that the reason that "waterproof" outlet leaked is because it is stuck on to the outside of the shed rather than recessed into the wall (like any other exterior outlet). Still an easy fix and something you should do sooner rather than later.

Very nice, I know your short on space but I actually made mine so that the machines recess in the walls so the controls are actual level with the walls and it really gives that extra bit of room. My arcade sis 30 by 10 and I got permission to build up but the taxes are insane if I do it. Keep up the good work.
You really have grown like I remember when you were called “modding arcade1up” and you had like 4 arcade1ups in your small room and now you have 4-5 full arcade machines in your backyard
Wow, you’re one of the few who seem to remember that! Yeah, it is nuts how much this has expanded. I worked pretty hard on all of it but I know I was also extremely lucky and had great friends helping me make it happen. Plus all of the people watching and supporting the channel really made it happen.
@@KillerArcadeGames yeah congrats on the shedcade and I honestly can’t wait to see what other cabinets you get in the future. Personally I think you should get a big buck hunter reloaded cab but remember that you don’t have too.
you need to lay some plastic on the grass under the building. that grass will draw a lot of moisture under your building and possibly damage your floor on the shed.
It’s 216 square feet. 12x18 feet. It’s one big open room. I wish I had room to make a bathroom and storage but I’d need a much bigger shed. My plan is to buy land for my next house, hopefully. Then I can have plenty of room to build.
I checked with the manufacturer of the building and they said it would hold the weight. There’s a LOT of concrete leveling blocks supporting each of the floor beams. They’re very close together too supporting the floor in many spots. I think they’re 2 feet apart because I had to crawl under it to install the ground anchors and couldn’t get myself between some of them lol.
You have a wonderful arcade shed! Fun fact, you should do a comprehensive video for insurance purposes that can be in future claims. Also, consider a permanent structure and a multi-cade. :D
That is true, I need to do that for sure. I’d love a more permanent building but that will have to wait until I move. I am about to make a multicade out of a Killer Instinct 2 cabinet.
Where do you buy your OG arcade machines? I've been wanting A1up to do a Gauntlet Dark Legacy, but I'm not sure that will ever happen. And since I'm not getting any younger, I might end up getting an actual Gauntlet Dark Legacy arcade machine. I'm curious as to where you found your machines. Maybe they have a good quality Dark Legacy machine.
What I found is that it’s not an arcade unless it’s public and anyone can fill it anytime. I also own an garage Cade but with just me in it - it’s just a geek-cade
Awesome shed and looking forward to new arcades if you get any in the future! Ya I guess like everything stuff can be changed and improved upon and updated after using for a while but just tweaks you notice which is cool. Also if m a big breaking bad fan too and that is an awesome gift from lady kag! I would never have thought to try that with famous people but that’s the power of the internet
Me too! KI2 will take its place in there soon enough. Lady KAG is pretty great. She got me in an big Xbox event in Austin one time too lol. She must be good at reaching out to people.
Chris my duuude! Its so cool that you actually made the shedcade a reality and sorry about missing the live streams. Im always at work but hopefully I can catch the next one. Any recent roach stories?lol
Thanks Alexis! Nothing too crazy to report roach wise. We don’t do one of those trailer parks I used go to anymore. But I’m sure I’ll be going to real dumps soon haha
This is cool, I have been looking to do something similar in my backyard for an "officecade" using a shed. What is the reasoning for elevating the shed instead of leveling the ground and making a cement pad? Trying to find the best way to do something almost the same.
Yes, I got a permit with the city for the building and had to get one to upgrade the electric panel on my house to 200 Amps. I also had to clear it with the HOA but it all went smoothly.
I found your channel from this video. I currently use a box trailer for my arcade room but am looking into building something with actual insulation. Lol
There’s some modified Arcade1Ups in there. I’ll be swapping them for more full size machines. I have more real arcades in the garage that are being worked on. One is going to be turned into my multicade with a bunch of games on it.
Yeah, Texas isn’t basement friendly haha. I had to rent a 1300 pound machine to dig the trenches for the internet and power. The ground is incredibly hard here. I wish we had a basement.
First time watching your videos and finding your channel. I'm not a arcade player but I can imagine how cool having a full blown gaming room for sega/nintendo yadda yadda, still cool though.
The whole thing cost around $20,000, we did most of the work ourselves. It’s not completely unattainable but definitely a ridiculous luxury item lol. The good news is if I sell my house, that can be converted into a living space fairly easily.
No weather issues inside yet. There was a pretty bad water leak when it was first built but I found they didn’t seal under the door frame. Rain was getting in under there so I sealed it.
Those people must have gone really cheap. The building itself was $10,000 delivered and assembled. I spent another $8,000 (roughly) finishing it out. Keep in mind, we did ALL of the work ourselves, except for the tape and float of the drywall. That includes buying the Mitsubishi mini split AC.
It’s not as tough as you’d think. A good dolly and a friend is usually enough. But recently, my wife and I moved the MK4 cabinet in ourselves with the dolly. I just took the monitor out and removed the control box. That took probably 100 pounds off and it was much easier to move. The racing cabinets typically separate into two pieces, the seat section detaches after removing some screws and you can move them easier. That said, the Rush the Rock cabinet is one big, heavy piece lol. The only way to remove the seat is to literally cut the it off. But that’s risky since wiring for the speakers in the seat run through it. So my friend, neighbor and I just moved it. We laid it on the stairs seat first, then lifted the main cabinet section up. It was much easier than I thought. The hardest one to get in the shed was Target Terror. That thing must weigh 500 pounds or is awkwardly weighted.
Those weren't nearly as tough as I expected. Hydro Thunder separates into two pieces, the seat section comes off for easier moving. But, Rush is ONE BIG PIECE! lol. My friend had a great idea to go seat first. We put it on a dolly, rested the seat end on the stairs and we both lifted the monitor end and pushed it right in.
It does feel like it went fast. Especially when I consider I was planning all of this just 14 months ago, now I’m in there playing games. It went from an idea to reality pretty quickly. Didn’t feel like it while building it. That process felt like it took forever.
I go out there almost daily. I don’t always turn all the games on though. Nothing is better than going out there after a busy work day, turning on everything and play for a couple of hours! I also live stream the gameplay on most weekends.
It’s essentially a pier and beam construction. Similar to a mobile home. Tons of cinder blocks were placed underneath to hold up the frame and level it. Then I added those straps which are 3 feet in the ground, encased in concrete with a metal strap bolted to the frame in seven places. Concrete would have been far too expensive and would have required lots of grading changes to the yard.

I did a similar project. Built a 10X12 shed and turned it into a home office. I've had mine for about 6 years with no major issues. An unsolicited tip: for those rock patch you have on the left and right of the entrance if you want you can easily fill in those spots with holly bushes. Lowes sells little ones for about 20 bucks a plant. They grow fast, are hardy and keep their leaves in winter. After about two years you will need to start pruning them but they only really need to be cut twice a year, once if you don't mind them being a little shaggy.
A slight downside is if you over prune the plants or animals start eating on them the leaves will become very sharp. But if you leave them alone they are a fine landscaping plant and need little to no maintenance. The roots can go down to about 17-25 inches, so best not to plant them over any wiring that is not encased in PVC pipe.
Alternatively you could also use Juniper bushes. I have a couple of them too. They grow VERY slow and their needles can be sharp but I have not had to prune them in the 6 years I have had'em.

If you put the machines back to back in the center you can use your walls too.
Very nice, I know your short on space but I actually made mine so that the machines recess in the walls so the controls are actual level with the walls and it really gives that extra bit of room. My arcade sis 30 by 10 and I got permission to build up but the taxes are insane if I do it. Keep up the good work.
I love this. I subscribed.
Thanks!
Oh man I thought it said She Shed...this is way cooler lol. Awesome!
Hahah my wife was a little jealous after seeing mine but she gets the spare room in the house for her space.
Personally I think you should get a big buck hunter reloaded cab but remember that you don’t have too.
you need to lay some plastic on the grass under the building. that grass will draw a lot of moisture under your building and possibly damage your floor on the shed.
should add a cheap gutter to each side you can get them cheap at Menards or most places to get stuff like that and they're easy to install.
Did I miss it; how many square feet?
Great looking space.
216 square feet
Man thats a nice size, whats the floor dimensions of the shed? Working on doing one myself
It’s 216 square feet. 12x18 feet. It’s one big open room. I wish I had room to make a bathroom and storage but I’d need a much bigger shed. My plan is to buy land for my next house, hopefully. Then I can have plenty of room to build.
I wonder if there is a weight limit concern with a shed on pillons like that... those classic og cabinets are heavy as hell.
I checked with the manufacturer of the building and they said it would hold the weight. There’s a LOT of concrete leveling blocks supporting each of the floor beams. They’re very close together too supporting the floor in many spots. I think they’re 2 feet apart because I had to crawl under it to install the ground anchors and couldn’t get myself between some of them lol.
think i'll take all of it out and just live these seeing how tuff it is to find a place to rent now a days yeah, this guys got aaan Arcde...
That’s my man!
I am about to make a multicade out of a Killer Instinct 2 cabinet.
>carnevil
this man knows whats up
What was that video that was playing on the TV with the City View?
It’s the Apple TV screen saver lol
Very cool! Does this still fall under a shed permit in your municipality?
Where do you buy your OG arcade machines? I've been wanting A1up to do a Gauntlet Dark Legacy, but I'm not sure that will ever happen. And since I'm not getting any younger, I might end up getting an actual Gauntlet Dark Legacy arcade machine. I'm curious as to where you found your machines. Maybe they have a good quality Dark Legacy machine.
I find them on Facebook Marketplace. I just made a video for first time arcade buyers if you want to check it out. May be helpful if you’re looking.
Looks good Kris 👍 right on man
This is cool, I have been looking to do something similar in my backyard for an "officecade" using a shed. What is the reasoning for elevating the shed instead of leveling the ground and making a cement pad? Trying to find the best way to do something almost the same.
Aj styles and austin creed are drooling
Curious what the cost of the building was without the extras like AC and all of that
It was right around $10k to have it delivered, built and they painted the exterior.
Do you just have a video of you drumming out? I wanna see those drums in action.
I used to record the gameplay long ago. Here’s one video way before I had the shed and lights set up. ua-cam.com/video/BxP-KlM-3is/v-deo.html
Hell yea Rush AND Hydro Thunder. Rock looks good around the shed
You would have needed permits from the town because you were building a fixed structure on your property right?
Yes, I got a permit with the city for the building and had to get one to upgrade the electric panel on my house to 200 Amps. I also had to clear it with the HOA but it all went smoothly.
I found your channel from this video. I currently use a box trailer for my arcade room but am looking into building something with actual insulation. Lol
Wait a minute, are you dumping all your arcade 1up's? What are you replacing them with?
I’m most likely going to get rid of them eventually, real cabinets will replace them. I’m not sure exactly which ones at the moment.
By Arcade 1Ups! :)The real thing is the way to go.
Love it 😅 why not an arcade one up or one of those machines that does multiple games 1000's ?
There’s some modified Arcade1Ups in there. I’ll be swapping them for more full size machines. I have more real arcades in the garage that are being worked on. One is going to be turned into my multicade with a bunch of games on it.
This is very cool! I'm guessing you live in an area without basements? I wish I had thought to do something like this when I lived in California.
Yeah, Texas isn’t basement friendly haha. I had to rent a 1300 pound machine to dig the trenches for the internet and power. The ground is incredibly hard here. I wish we had a basement.
First time watching your videos and finding your channel. I'm not a arcade player but I can imagine how cool having a full blown gaming room for sega/nintendo yadda yadda, still cool though.
man i want a shedcade
The whole thing cost around $20,000, we did most of the work ourselves. It’s not completely unattainable but definitely a ridiculous luxury item lol. The good news is if I sell my house, that can be converted into a living space fairly easily.
The weathering doesnt effect the Interior?
No weather issues inside yet. There was a pretty bad water leak when it was first built but I found they didn’t seal under the door frame. Rain was getting in under there so I sealed it.
How much did the build cost if you don't mind my asking I seen other videos with similar setups saying it cost them between 3 and 7k?
Those people must have gone really cheap. The building itself was $10,000 delivered and assembled. I spent another $8,000 (roughly) finishing it out. Keep in mind, we did ALL of the work ourselves, except for the tape and float of the drywall. That includes buying the Mitsubishi mini split AC.
@@KillerArcadeGames thanks man good to know
You should stain that trim you made the same color as the steps.
Man it looks fun asf in there
It’s pretty fun! I really enjoy it.
Bro I love it 🎉🎉🎉
Mancave High Score! Place your 3 initials in alpha font on the front door :D
Great work!!!! Awesome!!!!!
Question: how do you move games in and out of the shed?
More importantly, how did you get the drivers inside that thing?
Those weren't nearly as tough as I expected. Hydro Thunder separates into two pieces, the seat section comes off for easier moving. But, Rush is ONE BIG PIECE! lol. My friend had a great idea to go seat first. We put it on a dolly, rested the seat end on the stairs and we both lifted the monitor end and pushed it right in.
Can't believe It's been a year, time flies. Looking good. Nice pad. 👌
It does feel like it went fast. Especially when I consider I was planning all of this just 14 months ago, now I’m in there playing games. It went from an idea to reality pretty quickly. Didn’t feel like it while building it. That process felt like it took forever.
How often do you go inside the shed arcade? Also you should have some space to sit for guests
I go out there almost daily. I don’t always turn all the games on though. Nothing is better than going out there after a busy work day, turning on everything and play for a couple of hours! I also live stream the gameplay on most weekends.
Anyways, beautiful game room. 🙂
Awesome shed!
Thanks!
I’d put a little bathroom in there in case I needed to drop a deuce or just to smoke a bong in.
A bathroom would have been great but takes too much room.
I don't understand the base the shed is standing on? It looks very, very unstable?
It’s essentially a pier and beam construction. Similar to a mobile home. Tons of cinder blocks were placed underneath to hold up the frame and level it. Then I added those straps which are 3 feet in the ground, encased in concrete with a metal strap bolted to the frame in seven places. Concrete would have been far too expensive and would have required lots of grading changes to the yard.
very very cool dude!!
Thanks!
