Wow, that's a great feature/idea Rob....the intro showing how to 'actually' get to the fishery. Spent many hours over the years to-ing & fro-ing try to get to where I'm headed. Cheers mate, great vid as always...
You just can't beat that lunge of a big river barbel mate 👍 I live on the Isle of Wight nowadays but this took me back to fishing the Severn at Coalport back in the 80s & 90s. We used to have lovely nets of barbel, and they were all like peas in a pod between 5-8 pounds. Absolutely lovely fishing way downstream of the Brewery Inn day ticket stretch where it used to get fished a lot......We would walk further than everyone else and it was peaceful and beautiful with the barbel being a bonus. I do really miss my fishing 😢
once again Rob an absolutely fantastic video with some great information and some great angling. Thanks for taking the time and trouble for uploading all the details much appreciated mate. Just keep doing what you're doing.
Excellent feature, Rob. Never seen a vid for the B Section. It is a long walk to that swim, easier and quicker using the footpath by the railway, especially on hot days as there's some shade from the trees. Nice by the island, also. The barbel are generally smaller, and some nice club.
Another fantastic video Rob, pleased it was another successful day out 🎣👌🏼 I’ll be following your lead on this stretch too as I did with Sydney avenue 👌🏼 tight lines
I plan to fish a BAA stretch in the autumn but am slightly disabled do you think this stretch would suit me? I will be accompanied. plus what T/C rods do you use?.
Hi, Sorry for the delay. This probably isn’t the best stretch as the banks are up/down in places. The BAA stretch at Hampton Loade on the opposite bank is more accessible so that would likely be better. I use 1.75lb TC rods which are great for the Severn. Good luck and tight lines 👍🎣
Is that where the ferry used to be? Me and my dad fished a stretch of baa about 25 yrs ago and walked up to 1st field in quatford? From car park near pub! I want to go again but cant remember exactly and dads past away last yr 😪? So cant ask him
Sorry to hear that John.. The ferry was further upstream from where I fished I believe. If you walk some of the banks in the local area, hopefully you’ll be able to find that spot again. Best of luck 🙏👍🎣
@@RobsAngling thanks mate! I just thought the unicorn pub sounded familiar? I think matt Haynes owned a house there? And there was a pipe going over Severn? With steam railway opposite? Thanks for help mate! Im sure ill find it? 👍 Great video 🎣
there's a cracking swim in that section, section below the gravel island that the kayaks stop on, prob just over half way down the stretch. there's a 3 level platform on the opposite side, a load of over hanging trees below. deeper water fom mid river to under the trees- has never let me down, biggest was 10 on the nose
Thanks - I will have a look for that next time I venture back to that stretch. Plenty more sections to also check out on the BAA ticket so it might be a bit but I will take a look. 👍
@@RobsAngling No probs, most def worth checking out. Love the videos and Content you put out mate, have found it really helpful on stretches I havent been to yet 👍
Hi Stephen, I fished both rods on the same line so the upstream rod was also feeding the downstream rod area. They were 4m-5m’s apart I’d say. Hope this helps. 👍🎣
I have a question for the UK people. I am from Eastern Europe, and I would like to ask how can you fish on those rivers in the Uk ? Probably you need a national fishing licence and after that you pay a ticket by area/stretch/town/city/county ? Thank you very much !
You need a rod licence which you can buy online - This is a requirement to fish anywhere in the UK. You then need a ticket to fish different rivers or lakes dependent on who has the fishing rights to the venue. Hope this helps 👍🎣

Great video Rob. Spot on editing👌

Thanks Mark - Hope you’re catching a few 👍🎣
Limited time at the moment. Work keeps getting in my fishing time 🙈 keep up tge good work 😎
Well done mate, like your style.
Thanks Steve 👍🎣
Hiya, great video, always helpful to know a bit about the gear, rods ? reels ? mainline ? leader ? hooks ?
All of that info is listed in the video description 👍
@@RobsAngling mmmm why can't I find that :(
Morning Rob,
Am I mistaken, but did you have videos showing a lot more venues with parking etc?
Hi John, the majority of my BAA vids have overviews like that if you search on my channel for them 🎣👍

We call that peg the block of flats....
Rob how far apart was the RH rod to the LH when you brought it back? Was it fishing the same line? Nice video well presented.

Hi Rob, just interested which rods are they you are using? They look like Fox but can't really tell. @@RobsAngling
Can you get day tickets here
No day tickets - You need a £40 BAA annual membership. (UK’s best value ticket!) 😀
Tail damage probably Otters, they’ve ruined my local stretch.
Definitely otters, one surfaced in front of me fishing there last week.
Where can i get a day ticket to fish this spot please
Hi Terry, there are no day tickets available here. You need a BAA membership which you can get online. 👍🎣
Are you sponsored by Vortex baits, Rob?
No - Just happy to support them as they make a quality bait. 👌
best baits out nothing comes close
They certainly help get the job done 👌👍
