Baiting up several swims and roving about is the perfect active way to catch BUT only works if you have the stretch to yourself. You could find folks sat in the pegs you’ve baited up and getting all the dividends of your preparation
That one second with the bale arm, I'm almost 60 now, I come second in a junior club match when I was 12, knocking dace off trying to get my bale arm over, nice memory, thanks for that 😉
All the videos on the wye where the travel 2, 3, 4 hours to get there, makes me even more grateful that I live 5 minutes from the river. Good couple of pegs in this video
Deans enthusiasm and passion for the river is infections, so many anglers are missing out on a world of great experiences by only fishing lakes for carp. Keep spreading your knowledge of what can be a daunting challenge of a big river such as the Wye.
Brilliant, Brilliant, Brilliant...love Dean Macey, such a natural presenter, and clearly loves the Wye and its fishing. My brother and I are heading to the Wye later this year and we learned so much from this...please don’t let Macey anywhere near those Korda Carp Chavs...leave him to do his own great vids
Dean loved every minute of that thank you. I've missed the wye massively the past few years! Hoping to get in there before the end of this season and do a multiple day trip next or two 👍 cheers
I lost a fish from the island swim once! No idea what it was but it stripped all of my line just couldn’t stop it! Bailiff suggested it could have been a salmon? Fab swim
If you're fishing on a river feed down stream 🤔 I fish the Tees you have to catty maggots casters even hemp 10 yards up stream to have them close to bottom as they pass you 🤣 pacey to say the least 🤣
Hi Lee, Dean was using a 12ft Aventus distance feeder for his feeder fishing. For Deans Waggler fishing he was using a 12ft Aventus with a 4000 Size reel👍
Dean, the amount of times I see anglers playing a fish with their spare hand half way up the but section, it bloody anoys me, use a shorter rod, because for a fact you're reducing the rods action, that rod is designed and developed to act through its blank, you stick you're hand half way up the but section you remove the action of the rod, god created handles on rods for you're hands use them 😂😉
The passion, enthusiasm and obvious enjoyment I find so infectious, I can get the buzz just watching Dean. My respect and thanks. 👍
Fantastic, just starting to fish on the river for barbel. This is by far the most informative, to the point video I have seen. Thanks Dean.

Awesome video Dean, brilliant to say the least...and to quote a wonderful series back in the 90's you really have "A Passion for Angling."
Catching a fish who is free to roam is much better than fishing a match lake and catching loads Dean Macey is brilliant.

Thoroughly enjoyed this, thanks to Dean and the Guru team, top content.
A chub was the first fish I ever caught! There a nuisance for some people but will always be one of my favourite species, great vid dean💪
What a video. Dean could sell ice to Inuits 😊😊

Dean what adjustable rod rest do you recommend?
Alew rimmer dream job :)
Great advice, wondering what Dean uses for his "gravy" dumbbell goo?
i love this kind of fishing keep punching Dean
Epic 🙌🏻
Anyone know what bankstick Dean is using?
I have never heard "4ft twitch" before.. Did u make that up. Im sure 99% of people say 3ft
sous-titre français 😃😃😃😃👍
What's the reel and rod being used guys?

put the reel in water???? It's beyond
He’s a wally
Why is the wye so polluted, it,s like a sewer in the summer, shame.
£40 or £50 quid to dear for 1 days fishing.
Yes but that's for 2 guys fishing. Look what the carp guys pay and blank.....LOL
Looks good value to me compared with spending £25 for a couple of hours watching football…
Stop using barbed hooks,i am seeing countless barbel with mouth sores. I use barbless hooks and dont lose fish.

What a plonker
