I think one of the solutions is to grow closer to Jesus by reading the bible, spending time in prayer, & fasting. No matter what never give up. Each time you fall ask for forgiveness and get back up.

I was in a Sunday School lesson at the first of a year on the old Testament. The teacher made the quote, "Multiply and replenish the Earth." It came to me that the Destroyer clapped his hands and exclaimed, "I've got them!" He can't stop our Father's love for us, however, and our Father will not give up on us. It was Him that gave the commandment. He knew then and does now know the great burden this has put on so many. I pray for the victims in this struggle.
God healed me. 7 years on and off porn I asked and asked God to take it away. A week was probably all I could go without. I was prayed for by a friend and a miracle happened it’s been 10 months. Keep asking him to take it away. The blessing is to come. God does want us to stop our sin today. He knows we’re not perfect but we have to strive for perfection as it is written.

Keep going, Ive Been struggling since I was maybe 6-8. I discovered it accidentally and got trapped. I was found out at age 10 and was punished for it. For a year I stopped until 12 and than I relapsed. Now I’m 15 and still struggling, I’m trying so hard so please don’t let me do this by myself

For years I thought all I have to do is just stop what I'm doing, & everything will be OK. I try using my own willpower. It might work for awhile. But then when I would become depressed again, I'd find myself using again. When I finally realized this wasn't working was when things were getting worse for me. I turned to Heavenly Father & He was so glad to see me. He didn't say, what took you so long, He reached out & held me in His arms & said, I love you. I am so grateful for His love for me. I was the one He left the ninety & nine to find.

I understand your pain and confusion. I'm 48yo and have had a problem/addiction to lust since I was young. No matter how many times you fall to it, don't give up on trying to make this horrible, sinful addiction go away. I believe as long as you try and fight (this addiction no matter how many times you fall to it) and never give up hope, faith and trust in Jesus, you'll be okay. God knows we're all sinners and struggle with certain temptations more than others. I believe if you or whoever including myself are at least trying to fight these urges, it has to count rather than just completely giving up. God knows your troubles. Please don't give up. I know how frustrating it is. I usually can only go about a week and then thoughts get in my head or as simple as seeing a hot women on regular TV, a regular movie or even a commercial can trigger my urges. Going out in public is just as bad or worse. Lust is EVERYWHERE!!! I'm starting to ramble but I believe.... As long as you believe and love God and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior and that He died for our sins and you repent for the sins you commit, you'll be saved and not go to hell. On average I fall to masturbation and porn every 3-4 days and every time I ask for forgiveness and say I want to change, but I find myself falling again a few days later. I don’t understand this. I really need help. I don’t know what to do. I hate this.

i think the problem is men think they get away with sexual sin where God will make them suffer in some way on his time table so they dont escape suffering it could be something like coming down with the flu or coldvirus for a week or having a back injury.
I’ll pray for you but in the mean time here’s some tips: 1. Empathy - Did you know a good portion of porn sites harbor child porn and some of the stars you may see in such videos are victims of human trafficking (There was a 14 year old girl named Rose Kalemba, who was human trafficked on the videos on Pornhub, and the site wouldn’t take it down until she resorted to legal measures, you can look this up) Even without that, a good portion of stars in these videos endure abuse of many kinds (some are even blackmailed) and resort to drugs and alcohol to numb themselves of the pain. Most, if not all of the stars in those videos don’t even want to be there and are most likely there for some reason and I guarantee you it’s a sad one. Also, some of these stars came from broken homes and suffered some kind of trauma as a kid (most likely sexual) and this may be their way of coping with it. Would you pleasure yourself to someone else’s suffering? 2. Cold showers - Take these whenever you get the urge, in fact take these within the last 5-10 of minutes of your usual showers to reinforce that, ice baths work too. 3. Positive affirmations- Embrace an optimistic mindset, say “I will break this addiction” to yourself or “I’m strong enough to do so”. “I will do this, I know I can, I’m stronger than this addiction”. 4. Keep hands from private parts at all times - self explanatory 5. Keep away from ALL sexual content - this includes but not limited to movies, video games, and TV shows with sex scenes, music with sexual undertones, pictures of half naked men or women on Instagram or anywhere. Also do not put yourself in a space where you are tempted, for example if you are at the beach and see a attractive women in a string bikini or you see that guy you like dressing proactively or you see that women at Walmart in see through yoga pants, TURN AWAY immediately. These are stumbling blocks. 6. Keep yourself busy - read, meditate, go for a run, go walking, do 100 jumping jacks, dance and listen to an entire song when you get those urge sexual urges. Basically, anything you can to keep yourself busy, etc. 7. Pray- pray every single day to God to guide you and lead you away from this addiction, I do this as I’m currently breaking the addiction of masturbation. 8. Check your bladder - have you ever noticed every time you get strong sexual urges or the urge to masturbate you have to pee at the same time? Every-time you get that urge to masturbate, immediately go to the bathroom to see if you have to go number 1. This is due to our bladder pushing up against or near our genitalia or private regions. 9. Try not to drink a lot of water before bed - this is to reinforce step number 7, and speaking from experience I notice I usually fell into sexual sin either late at night or early in the morning, and while this was attributed to lust and my thoughts, it was also because as said before I had a full bladder which induced sexual urges in my body. 10. Do this for God, not for the sake of not masturbating - This is the most important step, and I’m learning this too. Don’t do this for the sake of Nofap benefits, do it for God. When you do it for God and prioritize him, you’re figuratively saying you’re doing it for his glory not for your own benefits and by doing so you’re showing that he’s number one in your life if that makes sense. Also, be sure to give him thanks for your progress and glorify him at all times, good and bad. He helps those who are humble!❤️❤️
At this point i'v stopped asking The Lord for forgiveness. I keep relapsing into this sin. I'm afraid my begging for forgivness has lost it's value and it doesn't really matter anymore. So i've stopped doing it. I try to life by His commandments, but i just look like a lukewarm moron, even if I don't want to be. I guess i'm destined for Hell, might as well enjoy the little time i have before the Flames....

It doesn't matter how many times you fall remember what Jesus said when he was asked how many times we should forgive a neighour? Jesus said 77x7. So is his forgiveness, he forgives if you just confess to him and repent (aim to turn away from it). Bible says his mercy and forgiveness as as far as the east is from the west meaning endless as there isn't really an east and west of the world. Also, rely on this verse " a man may fall seven times but he shall rise again, where as the wicked fall by calamity). He knows we struggle but he looks at the heart. Don't get comfortable in your sin that's where the danger lies. Put practical things in place. If certain movies, adverts etc raise your desires, try to steer clear etc...
Noone can do it alone! That's normal. We are all incapable. It's only possible through Jesus power! Pray and fast. It's a progress. And you fall inbetween. Then you get better and better. Slowly but surely! I'm praying for you.

It's not even websites! It's UA-cam! It's everywhere!! I hate it...it makes me feel like a broken vessel. I know that purity is something the devil fights me on and challenges me but argh! It's on the next step! I take a step into my faith and the devil just holds this sign up...almost sarcastically! The other problem is that I know all this! I know WHO I am...Who I'm called to be, who I want to be! But why is this sooooooo hard?! It is so gonna be there on that day bcoz the guilt lives on. BUT as true as it is that my Saviour lives,,so is it that I am overcoming this! I am a Child of God. I am not a rebel! I believe in Jesus. I do not follow the crowd. I trust the Everliving God! I AM WHO HE SAYS I AM! And goodness and mercies shall follow me all the days of my life! And I, I WILL DWELL IN THE HOUSE OF THE LORD FOREVER AND EVER!!! Man oh man, I feel soooooo trapped in this sin. It's really something that while we are in the process we feel nothing. We don't feel bad or nothing. Only afterwards. Only after we finished doing what we aren't supposed to be doing is when we feel bad and ashamed and break down in tears cuz we feel hopeless, helpless and defeated. Porn and pray, porn and pray, again and again. It's a destructive and a heartache of a cycle. May God help.us all going through this.

I think my situation is far more serious than most people realize. While I'm easily tempted by porn to give in and do this thing, I don't always use porn to do it. Plus, I'm very easily triggered due to other issues I'm going through. This thing appears to be...at this time, anyway...the only outlet I have to escape from my other problems. I suffer from depression, anxiety, stress, tension, insomnia, upper respiratory problems, asthma, and whatever else I've got. Because of all this and how significant my addiction problem is, I know what excites me and what doesn't. When it concerns people, the only thing that doesn't excite me is casual, non-sexual nudity (also, people dressed up in heavy, Winter clothes). Pretty much anything else *WILL* excite me at some point. My biggest weakness appears to be females wearing 3/4 sleeve tops. Don't ask me why that is. It just is. My addicted mind is so incredibly unique that I don't think anyone (except God) can understand it.

Videos that depict such nudity don't affect me in the way it might affect most people who view porn. It's the *OTHER* stuff that porn is typically known for that's the problem and casual nude videos are very difficult to find unless one knows how to search for it. In addition, I also said that it's not always porn I use when I need to escape from my other problems. This addiction began during the 1990s when I was just a teenager with raging hormones (don't ask). And, in 2010, I began to keep a record of how many times I, uh..."released" myself if you know what I mean. I refer to them as "Smudges". *2010 - 266 Smudges* *2011 - 237 Smudges* *2012 - 147 Smudges* *2013 - 224 Smudges* *2014 - 198 Smudges* *2015 - 166 Smudges* *2016 - 176 Smudges* *2017 - 198 Smudges* *2018 - 192 Smudges* *2019 - 136 Smudges* *2020 (so far) - 24 Smudges* Altogether, that's a total of 1,964 Smudges just since 2010. I have no idea how many more I did from the 1990s through 2009, but it's not out of the question that there may have been an estimated 2,000 to 3,000 Smudges in that time period. If you add the number of Smudges since 2010 to that, we're talking roughly 4,000 to 5,000 total. And, that's just an educated guess. In any event, the number is extremely astronomical.

Very often love can be seen as a secondary circumstance, pornography is a thing that really messes with the jesus and the sincerity of the crucifixion !
When you understand the atonement you realize that, because of if what Jesus did, your struggle with addiction doesn't have to be a tragedy. He can take your peril and turn it into an opportunity to learn and grow. I tell you from experience, the only way to overcome pornography is to become a saint through the atonement of Jesus Christ. THIS DOES NOT MEAN YOU HAVE TO BECOME A SAINT BEFORE HE'LL HELP YOU AND HEAL YOU! It means that if you turn to Him, He will walk with you, teach you, and sanctify you. He will teach you and give you strength to become a saint, line upon line. It takes time. So trust Him, trust the process, turn to Him, and when this is all over, He will have made a true saint out of you. He will have turned this trial, perhaps you're greatest trial, into your greatest blessing.

I have seen many videos about overcoming pornography in this channel and many people say that they are worry about that when they pray for forgiveness our Heavenly Father doesn’t listen to their prays because they keep into pornography but remember what the Lord has said in the Book of Mormon “ 30 Yea, and as often as my people repent will I forgive them their trespasses against me.” Mosiah 26:30! But what about hate, envy, greed, pride and so so? There's so much more sin that a Christian should work on other than porn. Anyways, just like a father's dedication in protecting a walking toddler, the One who holds the universe together will be there in your every misstep and bad decisions. God is very welcoming and willing to forgive those who ask but that doesn't mean we should abuse His love. Just PRAY FOR YOUR SINS BECAUSE GOD IS ON YOUR SIDE NO MATTER WHAT. I'm not saying porn is okay. Point is: if I fall 100 times I'll get back up 101 times.

I’ll pray for you too but if you want here is some tips to help: 1. Empathy - Did you know a good portion of porn sites harbor child porn and some of the stars you may see in such videos are victims of human trafficking (There was a 14 year old girl named Rose Kalemba, who was human trafficked on the videos on Pornhub, and the site wouldn’t take it down until she resorted to legal measures, you can look this up) Even without that, a good portion of stars in these videos endure abuse of many kinds (some are even blackmailed) and resort to drugs and alcohol to numb themselves of the pain. Most, if not all of the stars in those videos don’t even want to be there and are most likely there for some reason and I guarantee you it’s a sad one. Also, some of these stars came from broken homes and suffered some kind of trauma as a kid (most likely sexual) and this may be their way of coping with it. Would you pleasure yourself to someone else’s suffering? 2. Cold showers - Take these whenever you get the urge, in fact take these within the last 5-10 of minutes of your usual showers to reinforce that, ice baths work too. 3. Positive affirmations- Embrace an optimistic mindset, say “I will break this addiction” to yourself or “I’m strong enough to do so”. “I will do this, I know I can, I’m stronger than this addiction”. 4. Keep hands from private parts at all times - self explanatory 5. Keep away from ALL sexual content - this includes but not limited to movies, video games, and TV shows with sex scenes, music with sexual undertones, pictures of half naked men or women on Instagram or anywhere. Also do not put yourself in a space where you are tempted, for example if you are at the beach and see a attractive women in a string bikini or you see that guy you like dressing proactively or you see that women at Walmart in see through yoga pants, TURN AWAY immediately. These are stumbling blocks. 6. Keep yourself busy - read, meditate, go for a run, go walking, do 100 jumping jacks, dance and listen to an entire song when you get those urge sexual urges. Basically, anything you can to keep yourself busy, etc. 7. Pray- pray every single day to God to guide you and lead you away from this addiction, I do this as I’m currently breaking the addiction of masturbation. 8. Check your bladder - have you ever noticed every time you get strong sexual urges or the urge to masturbate you have to pee at the same time? Every-time you get that urge to masturbate, immediately go to the bathroom to see if you have to go number 1. This is due to our bladder pushing up against or near our genitalia or private regions. 9. Try not to drink a lot of water before bed - this is to reinforce step number 7, and speaking from experience I notice I usually fell into sexual sin either late at night or early in the morning, and while this was attributed to lust and my thoughts, it was also because as said before I had a full bladder which induced sexual urges in my body. 10. Do this for God, not for the sake of not masturbating - This is the most important step, and I’m learning this too. Don’t do this for the sake of Nofap benefits, do it for God. When you do it for God and prioritize him, you’re figuratively saying you’re doing it for his glory not for your own benefits and by doing so you’re showing that he’s number one in your life if that makes sense. Also, be sure to give him thanks for your progress and glorify him at all times, good and bad. He helps those who are humble!❤️❤️

I think one of the solutions is to grow closer to Jesus by reading the bible, spending time in prayer, & fasting. No matter what never give up. Each time you fall ask for forgiveness and get back up.
Yes, I found this out. If I did not get back up again & strive to move on, I would continue to wallow & I would make it worse.

I was in a Sunday School lesson at the first of a year on the old Testament. The teacher made the quote, "Multiply and replenish the Earth." It came to me that the Destroyer clapped his hands and exclaimed, "I've got them!" He can't stop our Father's love for us, however, and our Father will not give up on us. It was Him that gave the commandment. He knew then and does now know the great burden this has put on so many. I pray for the victims in this struggle.
God healed me. 7 years on and off porn I asked and asked God to take it away. A week was probably all I could go without. I was prayed for by a friend and a miracle happened it’s been 10 months. Keep asking him to take it away. The blessing is to come. God does want us to stop our sin today. He knows we’re not perfect but we have to strive for perfection as it is written.

Keep going, Ive Been struggling since I was maybe 6-8. I discovered it accidentally and got trapped. I was found out at age 10 and was punished for it. For a year I stopped until 12 and than I relapsed. Now I’m 15 and still struggling, I’m trying so hard so please don’t let me do this by myself

For years I thought all I have to do is just stop what I'm doing, & everything will be OK. I try using my own willpower. It might work for awhile. But then when I would become depressed again, I'd find myself using again. When I finally realized this wasn't working was when things were getting worse for me. I turned to Heavenly Father & He was so glad to see me. He didn't say, what took you so long, He reached out & held me in His arms & said, I love you. I am so grateful for His love for me. I was the one He left the ninety & nine to find.

I understand your pain and confusion. I'm 48yo and have had a problem/addiction to lust since I was young. No matter how many times you fall to it, don't give up on trying to make this horrible, sinful addiction go away. I believe as long as you try and fight (this addiction no matter how many times you fall to it) and never give up hope, faith and trust in Jesus, you'll be okay. God knows we're all sinners and struggle with certain temptations more than others. I believe if you or whoever including myself are at least trying to fight these urges, it has to count rather than just completely giving up. God knows your troubles. Please don't give up. I know how frustrating it is. I usually can only go about a week and then thoughts get in my head or as simple as seeing a hot women on regular TV, a regular movie or even a commercial can trigger my urges. Going out in public is just as bad or worse. Lust is EVERYWHERE!!! I'm starting to ramble but I believe.... As long as you believe and love God and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior and that He died for our sins and you repent for the sins you commit, you'll be saved and not go to hell. i think the problem is men think they get away with sexual sin where God will make them suffer in some way on his time table so they dont escape suffering it could be something like coming down with the flu or coldvirus for a week or having a back injury.

I’ll pray for you but in the mean time here’s some tips:
1. Empathy - Did you know a good portion of porn sites harbor child porn and some of the stars you may see in such videos are victims of human trafficking (There was a 14 year old girl named Rose Kalemba, who was human trafficked on the videos on Pornhub, and the site wouldn’t take it down until she resorted to legal measures, you can look this up) Even without that, a good portion of stars in these videos endure abuse of many kinds (some are even blackmailed) and resort to drugs and alcohol to numb themselves of the pain. Most, if not all of the stars in those videos don’t even want to be there and are most likely there for some reason and I guarantee you it’s a sad one. Also, some of these stars came from broken homes and suffered some kind of trauma as a kid (most likely sexual) and this may be their way of coping with it. Would you pleasure yourself to someone else’s suffering?
2. Cold showers - Take these whenever you get the urge, in fact take these within the last 5-10 of minutes of your usual showers to reinforce that, ice baths work too.
3. Positive affirmations- Embrace an optimistic mindset, say “I will break this addiction” to yourself or “I’m strong enough to do so”. “I will do this, I know I can, I’m stronger than this addiction”.
4. Keep hands from private parts at all times - self explanatory
5. Keep away from ALL sexual content - this includes but not limited to movies, video games, and TV shows with sex scenes, music with sexual undertones, pictures of half naked men or women on Instagram or anywhere. Also do not put yourself in a space where you are tempted, for example if you are at the beach and see a attractive women in a string bikini or you see that guy you like dressing proactively or you see that women at Walmart in see through yoga pants, TURN AWAY immediately. These are stumbling blocks.
6. Keep yourself busy - read, meditate, go for a run, go walking, do 100 jumping jacks, dance and listen to an entire song when you get those urge sexual urges. Basically, anything you can to keep yourself busy, etc.
7. Pray- pray every single day to God to guide you and lead you away from this addiction, I do this as I’m currently breaking the addiction of masturbation.
8. Check your bladder - have you ever noticed every time you get strong sexual urges or the urge to masturbate you have to pee at the same time? Every-time you get that urge to masturbate, immediately go to the bathroom to see if you have to go number 1. This is due to our bladder pushing up against or near our genitalia or private regions.
9. Try not to drink a lot of water before bed - this is to reinforce step number 7, and speaking from experience I notice I usually fell into sexual sin either late at night or early in the morning, and while this was attributed to lust and my thoughts, it was also because as said before I had a full bladder which induced sexual urges in my body.
10. Do this for God, not for the sake of not masturbating - This is the most important step, and I’m learning this too. Don’t do this for the sake of Nofap benefits, do it for God. When you do it for God and prioritize him, you’re figuratively saying you’re doing it for his glory not for your own benefits and by doing so you’re showing that he’s number one in your life if that makes sense. Also, be sure to give him thanks for your progress and glorify him at all times, good and bad.

It doesn't matter how many times you fall remember what Jesus said when he was asked how many times we should forgive a neighour? Jesus said 77x7. So is his forgiveness, he forgives if you just confess to him and repent (aim to turn away from it). Bible says his mercy and forgiveness as as far as the east is from the west meaning endless as there isn't really an east and west of the world. Also, rely on this verse " a man may fall seven times but he shall rise again, where as the wicked fall by calamity). He knows we struggle but he looks at the heart. Don't get comfortable in your sin that's where the danger lies. Put practical things in place. If certain movies, adverts etc raise your desires, try to steer clear etc...
Noone can do it alone! That's normal. We are all incapable. It's only possible through Jesus power! Pray and fast. It's a progress. And you fall inbetween. Then you get better and better. Slowly but surely! I'm praying for you.
Thank you all for the replies. Since writing this I've tried to embrace the Scriptures even more and stayed away from any and all temptation. I've gone without it for over week now. Seems like a little step, but I hope I can set things right once and for all.

Man oh man, I feel soooooo trapped in this sin. It's really something that while we are in the process we feel nothing. We don't feel bad or nothing. Only afterwards. Only after we finished doing what we aren't supposed to be doing is when we feel bad and ashamed and break down in tears cuz we feel hopeless, helpless and defeated. Porn and pray, porn and pray, again and again. It's a destructive and a heartache of a cycle. May God help.us all going through this.

I need prayer cause if tried quiting and praying .and temptation doesnt stop
I think my situation is far more serious than most people realize. While I'm easily tempted by porn to give in and do this thing, I don't always use porn to do it. Plus, I'm very easily triggered due to other issues I'm going through. This thing appears to be...at this time, anyway...the only outlet I have to escape from my other problems.
I suffer from depression, anxiety, stress, tension, insomnia, upper respiratory problems, asthma, and whatever else I've got.
Because of all this and how significant my addiction problem is, I know what excites me and what doesn't. When it concerns people, the only thing that doesn't excite me is casual, non-sexual nudity (also, people dressed up in heavy, Winter clothes). Pretty much anything else *WILL* excite me at some point. My biggest weakness appears to be females wearing 3/4 sleeve tops. Don't ask me why that is. It just is. My addicted mind is so incredibly unique that I don't think anyone (except God) can understand it.

@@churchofjesuschrist I will say that not all forms of pornography are bad. For instance, I mentioned casual, non-sexual nudity in my first comment above. Videos that depict such nudity don't affect me in the way it might affect most people who view porn. It's the *OTHER* stuff that porn is typically known for that's the problem and casual nude videos are very difficult to find unless one knows how to search for it. In addition, I also said that it's not always porn I use when I need to escape from my other problems.
This addiction began during the 1990s when I was just a teenager with raging hormones (don't ask). And, in 2010, I began to keep a record of how many times I, uh..."released" myself if you know what I mean. I refer to them as "Smudges".
*2010 - 266 Smudges*
*2011 - 237 Smudges*
*2012 - 147 Smudges*
*2013 - 224 Smudges*
*2014 - 198 Smudges*
*2015 - 166 Smudges*
*2016 - 176 Smudges*
*2017 - 198 Smudges*
*2018 - 192 Smudges*
*2019 - 136 Smudges*
*2020 (so far) - 24 Smudges*
Altogether, that's a total of 1,964 Smudges just since 2010. I have no idea how many more I did from the 1990s through 2009, but it's not out of the question that there may have been an estimated 2,000 to 3,000 Smudges in that time period. If you add the number of Smudges since 2010 to that, we're talking roughly 4,000 to 5,000 total. And, that's just an educated guess. In any event, the number is extremely astronomical.

In that same year I found myself in pornography and masturbation
Even after been baptized,I still struggle with this sin, cos of that I'm shy going to the house of God
I asked myself,
"If God saved me from the near death experiences,why didn't He save me from pornography?"

Very often love can be seen as a secondary circumstance, pornography is a thing that really messes with the jesus and the sincerity of the crucifixion !
Jesus saves
When you understand the atonement you realize that, because of if what Jesus did, your struggle with addiction doesn't have to be a tragedy. He can take your peril and turn it into an opportunity to learn and grow. I tell you from experience, the only way to overcome pornography is to become a saint through the atonement of Jesus Christ. THIS DOES NOT MEAN YOU HAVE TO BECOME A SAINT BEFORE HE'LL HELP YOU AND HEAL YOU! It means that if you turn to Him, He will walk with you, teach you, and sanctify you. He will teach you and give you strength to become a saint, line upon line. It takes time. So trust Him, trust the process, turn to Him, and when this is all over, He will have made a true saint out of you. He will have turned this trial, perhaps you're greatest trial, into your greatest blessing.

I have seen many videos about overcoming pornography in this channel and many people say that they are worry about that when they pray for forgiveness our Heavenly Father doesn’t listen to their prays because they keep into pornography but remember what the Lord has said in the Book of Mormon

Anyways, just like a father's dedication in protecting a walking toddler, the One who holds the universe together will be there in your every misstep and bad decisions. God is very welcoming and willing to forgive those who ask but that doesn't mean we should abuse His love. Just PRAY FOR YOUR SINS BECAUSE GOD IS ON YOUR SIDE NO MATTER WHAT. I'm not saying porn is okay. Point is: if I fall 100 times I'll get back up 101 times.

I’ll pray for you too but if you want here is some tips to help:
1. Empathy - Did you know a good portion of porn sites harbor child porn and some of the stars you may see in such videos are victims of human trafficking (There was a 14 year old girl named Rose Kalemba, who was human trafficked on the videos on Pornhub, and the site wouldn’t take it down until she resorted to legal measures, you can look this up) Even without that, a good portion of stars in these videos endure abuse of many kinds (some are even blackmailed) and resort to drugs and alcohol to numb themselves of the pain. Most, if not all of the stars in those videos don’t even want to be there and are most likely there for some reason and I guarantee you it’s a sad one. Also, some of these stars came from broken homes and suffered some kind of trauma as a kid (most likely sexual) and this may be their way of coping with it. Would you pleasure yourself to someone else’s suffering?
2. Cold showers - Take these whenever you get the urge, in fact take these within the last 5-10 of minutes of your usual showers to reinforce that, ice baths work too.
3. Positive affirmations- Embrace an optimistic mindset, say “I will break this addiction” to yourself or “I’m strong enough to do so”. “I will do this, I know I can, I’m stronger than this addiction”.
4. Keep hands from private parts at all times - self explanatory
5. Keep away from ALL sexual content - this includes but not limited to movies, video games, and TV shows with sex scenes, music with sexual undertones, pictures of half naked men or women on Instagram or anywhere. Also do not put yourself in a space where you are tempted, for example if you are at the beach and see a attractive women in a string bikini or you see that guy you like dressing proactively or you see that women at Walmart in see through yoga pants, TURN AWAY immediately. These are stumbling blocks.
6. Keep yourself busy - read, meditate, go for a run, go walking, do 100 jumping jacks, dance and listen to an entire song when you get those urge sexual urges. Basically, anything you can to keep yourself busy, etc.
7. Pray- pray every single day to God to guide you and lead you away from this addiction, I do this as I’m currently breaking the addiction of masturbation.
8. Check your bladder - have you ever noticed every time you get strong sexual urges or the urge to masturbate you have to pee at the same time? Every-time you get that urge to masturbate, immediately go to the bathroom to see if you have to go number 1. This is due to our bladder pushing up against or near our genitalia or private regions.
9. Try not to drink a lot of water before bed - this is to reinforce step number 7, and speaking from experience I notice I usually fell into sexual sin either late at night or early in the morning, and while this was attributed to lust and my thoughts, it was also because as said before I had a full bladder which induced sexual urges in my body.
10. Do this for God, not for the sake of not masturbating - This is the most important step, and I’m learning this too. Don’t do this for the sake of Nofap benefits, do it for God. When you do it for God and prioritize him, you’re figuratively saying you’re doing it for his glory not for your own benefits and by doing so you’re showing that he’s number one in your life if that makes sense. Also, be sure to give him thanks for your progress and glorify him at all times, good and bad.
