Back over 29 years ago I wrote elder bed at a letter. I spoke of doing “all the right things and still feeling like I am drowning”. He actually wrote back and basicly gave me the message to start recording our lives and then when ever possible go back and see the lords hands in your life journey. I took that council to heart but with 3 tiny autistic kids I could only hit record on my phone to capture it all. I created a UA-cam channel and shared our journey as Latter-day Saints with a chronicle I’ll Mom and 4 special kids and an ADHD husband and STILL be believers. It has changed everything for me.
I have always loved the way Elder Bednar teaches the gospel, both the doctrine and principles, and also the everyday aspects of life. Thank you for your faith and life, for blessing all of us!

Concordo plenamente com elder Bednar de que não há obrigatoriedade de saber falar toda a doutrina mas há a preocupação e necessidade de mantê-la pura, para o Espírito confirmar a verdade. Isso é o principal.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, so much for helping me to know that it is okay to not have perfect things to say, but just focus on how you live your life. I have several people in my family who have left the church, and the gospel means so much to me, but I have not felt to talk a lot about the gospel around them, but to focus on how I am living my own life and trying to live the best version of myself. But I have felt guilty in not proclaiming to them more, and have been hard on myself, telling myself I am ashamed of the gospel. But the truth is that I do not believe it would actually do good to proclaim the gospel to them that are angry with it. Watching this has made me feel so much better.
Reading your comment brought to mind a talk that has helped me so much in what to do with your loved ones who left the church. I think that the Holy Spirit can put into our minds and hearts in a general sort of way, about maybe in what we can share about anything. I think he does that just to illustrate a principle. I have had that happen…I think just now, that truth in the scriptures came to my mind. Again, like he indicates, example is the best teacher. We all need to strive to be better. I can be honest, and still tell in a kind way…or like he says, just tell more about what we do in our lives, and I think how we cope in a general sort of way. And let people know that we are no better than they are, that we all have to work at it.
Thank you Apostle .. but sometime we are too scared to offend our friends on Facebook when we shared the gospel on Facebook pages, especially in Indonesia.
God has proven that he doesn’t need an institution, or people telling us how to do things. Jesus Christ has an individual relationship with each of his sons! Do members of this church believe in Christ? Do they read the bible. I know little about this church but the statement by the elder touched the depth of my heart. What is the stand of the church on LGBT. Do they promote or sanction gay union
We believe in Christ, he is the head of our church. We read the Bible along with the Book of Mormon we believe that they are both scripture for the Lord Jesus Christ. We do not support the LGBTQ+ community, we do preach kindness towards everyone, and teach that we should love all regardless of their beliefs.
Thanks for your comment @fidelisattah5761 and for your questions. Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are Christian, and we believe the greatest happiness in life comes from following the Savior, Jesus Christ. We revere the Bible as the word of God and we believe the Book of Mormon to be another testament of Jesus Christ. You and others interested can learn more about our beliefs here: www.comeuntochrist.org/beliefs?cid=42001274 The Church teaches that God loves all of us, and that people who experience same-sex attraction or identify as gay, lesbian, or bisexual are welcome and needed in the Church, and should be treated with love and respect. We also believe that sexual relations between a man and woman who are not married or between people of the same sex violate the law of chastity, one of our Father in Heaven’s most important laws. People of any sexual orientation who violate the law of chastity can be reconciled with God through repentance. What do you mean? The man with the green tie is elder Bednar, an Apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ. He is filled with light and love. I would hope that all people can personally meet an Apostle to look him in the eyes. The eyes are the window to the soul.
Keep it simple... share a CONSECRATED copy of the BOOK of MORMON with your WRITTEN TESTIMONY on it... HIGHLIGHT many passages to help the individuals find the spirit of PROPHECY AND REVELATION Within the precepts taught in the Book of Mormon ... Do not be a respecter of people give them powerful testimony not diluted gospel.. The Book of Mormon teaches 3,925 *times or more of Jesus Christ there's nothing more powerful that you can give anyone for their CONVERSION to a SERIOUS CONSECRATION and CELESTIALISATION 😊😊 I so testify of THESE TRUTH in the name of JESUS CHRIST amen..
"What we do is more important than what we may write or say"...thank you for clarifying this. Unfortunately, that is not in the church's favor- there are many examples of this dissonance between what the church says and actually does.
It's great to hear from the leadership of the church. I wish that what he was saying was true. Ask the people who live in the towns that have been threatened by the church with lawsuits because the town won't let them build a temple? Ask them how Christ like the church's lawyers are when threatening to sue the town into bankruptcy because the church won't abide by the zoning laws? Be a good neighbor is what we are supposed to be. Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act is the weapon of the church.
LDS friends, you do NOT teach the true Christ of the New Testament and the authentic tradition of the of the Christian faith passed on by the Bishops in the Catholic, Orthodox, and the Ancient Churches of the East - all who have true Apostolic Succession from the very beginning.
Just curious but, is it true that joseph smith said that black people and skin is the mark of cain and that we refused to fight with God during some battle and that's why our skin is dark
Hi @Lazyofficial866, thanks for your question. Latter-day Saint scripture and teachings affirm that God loves all of His children and makes salvation available to all. The Book of Mormon teaches that all are alike unto God: "(The Lord) inviteth them all to come unto him and partake of his goodness; and he denieth none that come unto him, black and white, bond and free, male and female; and he remembereth the heathen; and all are alike unto God, both Jew and Gentile." (2 Nephi 26:33). Church leaders today unequivocally condemn all racism, past and present, in any form. The Church disavows the theories advanced in the past that black skin is a sign of divine disfavor or curse, or that it reflects unrighteous actions in a premortal life; that mixed-race marriages are a sin; or that blacks or people of any other race or ethnicity are inferior in any way to anyone else. You or others interested can learn more here: www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/manual/gospel-topics-essays/race-and-the-priesthood?lang=eng&_r=1
i could be wrong but it was originally Brigham Young that said that. Doesn't matter, it's a horrible teaching either way. Glad to be free of the church.
@@brb5506 Ironic, considering Mormonism teaches every member that the are part of a chosen few. Also, I never said I was an atheist. I am, so you got me. I do not worship myself -- although I do feel better about myself since leaving the church.
@@ppleberrynd Worship is inherent in being human. Worship is that which we trust the most. If a person trusts their own wisdom the most, they worship their own wisdom. If you feel better after having left the Church, there could be several reasons: 1) You were not really in it, i.e. you were not spiritually engaged so you didn't know what you were in; 2) You did something that put you deeply at odds with the Church and leaving separated you from consciousness of guilt; and/or 3) Someday did something that was deeply at odds with the Church to you. Or any combo of the above. As for being "chosen", members are chosen because they exercise faith to be among the chosen. In other words, anyone can be among the chosen if they choose to be by exercising faith in Christ. Like all exercise, it requires work. It's your choice.

You and others interested can learn more about our beliefs here: www.comeuntochrist.org/beliefs?cid=42001274
The Church teaches that God loves all of us, and that people who experience same-sex attraction or identify as gay, lesbian, or bisexual are welcome and needed in the Church, and should be treated with love and respect. We also believe that sexual relations between a man and woman who are not married or between people of the same sex violate the law of chastity, one of our Father in Heaven’s most important laws. People of any sexual orientation who violate the law of chastity can be reconciled with God through repentance. 100% the LGBTQ+ community is needed in the church. These are valid voices, and without them, the church would be poorer for it. In a silo.
@@churchofjesuschrist Thank you for this wonderful and eye-opening insights .
I had oftentimes in the past seen Latter day saints as a belief outside christ.
Your teaching about gay union also agrees with my faith.
I really appreciate this feedback.

Do me a favor to those watching the guy talking with the green tie, make your screen bigger and tell me what you see in his eyes and neck area. Freeze the picture and look.
What do you mean? The man with the green tie is elder Bednar, an Apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ. He is filled with light and love. I would hope that all people can personally meet an Apostle to look him in the eyes. The eyes are the window to the soul.
What’s the deal with Elder Bednar’s tie…?
Keep it simple...
share a CONSECRATED copy of the BOOK of MORMON with your WRITTEN TESTIMONY on it...
HIGHLIGHT many passages to help the individuals find the spirit of PROPHECY AND REVELATION Within the precepts taught in the Book of Mormon ...
Do not be a respecter of people give them powerful testimony not diluted gospel..
The Book of Mormon teaches 3,925 *times or more of Jesus Christ there's nothing more powerful that you can give anyone for their

Just not Daniel Troen’s message heard once he was baptized 15 years ago never maintained one friend
I need some polishing😉
The Church disavows the theories advanced in the past that black skin is a sign of divine disfavor or curse, or that it reflects unrighteous actions in a premortal life; that mixed-race marriages are a sin; or that blacks or people of any other race or ethnicity are inferior in any way to anyone else. i could be wrong but it was originally Brigham Young that said that. Doesn't matter, it's a horrible teaching either way.
Glad to be free of the church.
@@ppleberryndYou are free to worship any god you want. Those who say they worship no god end up worshipping themselves.
