This is such a lifesaver after purchasing a Razer Kishi V1 to pair with my Xiaomi POCO X4 Pro 5G. Initially, I thought my Kishi would be an expensive paperweight because the Razer Kishi app wasn't available for my phone. I'm so glad I came across this app however, because it just works perfectly while playing Genshin Impact and even on DuckStation for emulation. Will definitely be buying the PRO version, despite already having all the features I need with the base version just to support the developers. Cheers!
Not sure what happened since the most recent update of both mantis and call of duty, but whenever I touch the screen during call of duty my gamepad becomes unresponsive. The only way to get it to become responsive is holding the right stick to change the camera angle and it responds after a few seconds.

This is exactly what I needed to correctly map all of my Ps4 buttons to my mobile game! I copied all of the steps as instructed on screen, and now everything is working perfectly! 😁👌 Our WiFi router is acting up, probably because the bill is due, or some other reason, which means I'm currently unable to connect my Ps4/Ps5 to the internet, so I'm offline until further notice. I'm connecting the Mantis app to mobile and using it very well and thank you to the developer. There is a phenomenon where two buttons cannot be entered at the same time while playing with DualSense, is there a way or setting to solve this?
Just realized combat master doesn't have gamepad support yet, but you guys gotta make the on-device process more streamlined/easy by making the app detect that usb/wifi debugging as well as app overlays are turned on in dev mode *it already does that however whenever I try to pair it usually fails and it was kinda frustrating for awhile until I had to do the process step by step. TLDR: make the on device method less frustrating by fixing it.
The swipe functions doesn't have a power functions to differentiate from a short button press to a longer press for better power especially on football games
Thanks for the tips and explanations of features. It would be really great to be able to assign a key to toggle the on-screen keyboard similar to the way you can switch between phases. I would also like to be able to rename phases which does not work so well in combination with the on-screen keyboard.

This is definitely a great feature. Might I suggest more customization with a "Shift" key option, where holding it down changes the properties of the other buttons? A keybind to change phases would also be great

Excuse me, I am having trouble completing the final step. When I access the settings to view the code, the mantis window disappears. Upon exiting the settings and entering the code, I receive a message stating, "wireless debugging is not ready." I would appreciate any assistance you can provide. For your reference, I am using a Samsung S23 Ultra.
The Wireless Debugging menu needs to be on the Foreground for the Pairing Process to work. If the Pair Overlay is not showing over Settings during On-Device Activation, please go to developer options and turn on "Allow Screen Overlays on Settings", as shown at 3:10 . Then the pairing window will float over the “Settings” app and you will be able to put the code in it directly.
@@mantisprogaming did all the steps, still nothing the last message gets stuck And read in your forums, this is a known Samsung issue from over a year ago, which I found it weird that you still didn't solve

If you can't get it to pair and nothing has worked for you, including what was provided in the FAQ at the end of the video I have the solution. I was literally trying the steps over and over again for no joke 2 hours, but I have the solution... You need to start the mantis buddy with it NOT connected to the game pad and then it will work. All the solutions on here is missing that one crucial fact.
@@noping4204 Bummer, but I'd stop wasting your time because playing mobile games a controller is not the same as a console. I played call of duty with the controller and it's an awful gameplay experience. I'd rather use a phone with triggers like the red magic phone I have.

How about a pro feature where users can just download a button mapping for a game which has been shared by other players that are already using Mantis buddy for that game. Like a community tab or something. That would save a lot of time for a lot of people to map buttons for every single game themselves. Of course people would still be able to create their own control mappings if they wanted.

One question, would it be possible to create something similar considering FPS mobile games like CoD where we could adapt bluetooth mouse and keyboard in our phone?
Nice application, the top to update would be the possibility to have a touch option to simulate your finger always on the screen, cause there is so many shoot' em up to play like that, the fact is when you pull off tour finger the game goes to pause, game like skyforce or galaga wars. I'm desesperate to play these game with joypad on android, do you know if it's possible to include that In the future? thanks.
This apps really work on how to imitate the touch screen functions on game with simple control interfaces. We have to compromise for the more complex interfaces thou (ie. a game with QTE that has very random button or gesture positions) but nevertheless this apps still working fine. And also if you're using wireless connection you gotta make sure you have a stable connection, I mean really stable.
Im using this while playing wuthering waves in my android. Im using my ps4 controller. _(why NO ps platform, or even controller support on mobile but on pc there IS!!... ahem...)_ Its working perfectly fine. But my question, is there a way to incorporate the touchpad into the functions? Theres a lot of functions and all are already occupied with each equivalent button. I can still do the functions by dropping the controller and touching the screen directly then returning back to controller. Would be nice if this is not the case. ❤️

We have been recently made aware that some Honor Devices do not have the "Allow overlays on Settings" option. So keeping that in mind, we are working on another way of activating Mantis with Wireless Debugging that do not require any overlays. Meanwhile, you can try entering the code in split screen mode, if that is feasible. You can also try other other activation modes like PC or the Android to Android activation mode.
Please, how can i map the game pad inside the game on Samsung, there is no security settings or Disable Permission monitoring... How can i do that on Samsung s23 plus
I have a question, so i am trying it out but everytime i get the the game like after the games load in so i can see all the button and i go to put everything in place the little green overlap thing disappears. And if i do it all before i can see the in games buttons then all the stuff i put on disappears when the in games buttons appear.

Hi, Thanks for the comment. You can turn off the "Always-On buttons" feature from the settings section in the overlay, where the opacity option is located.

@@mr.justicethelegend The On-Device activation method uses Wireless Debugging feature of Android, which can only turn on when the device is connected to a WiFi/Mobile Hotspot. For this purpose, you can also use a WiFi without an internet connection. Mobile Data will not be of any use in this case. If you do not have access to a WiFi device at all, you can try the PC or the Android to Android activation method. If your device is Rooted, you can also try the permanent Root Activation method.

I keep pressing (allow debugging dialogue) but even after 20 seconds it still won't show up, I tried this countless times before and it still won't show up! can anyone help?
The “Allow Debugging” prompt is generated by the Android OS and on some devices, it may take up to 20 seconds to appear after tapping the Green Allow Button. If it does not, simply mark it as done and proceed. If you face any issues during the pairing stage later on, simply restart the device and try it again.
Question: I want to implement a button that cancels when dragged up and released, but triggers normally when released without dragging, how would i do that?

Hi there, the MantisBuddy setup steps that are shown here are required for both wired and wireless gamepads. This process is required to go around Android OS restrictions and give Mantis its screen mapping ablties. So only after the MantisBuddy service is activated, you will able to use your controller inside the game.
Only problem with the app is that after playing a certain amount of time to use the app again i need to buy the pro pass, im not saying everything should be free im saying only some feutures should need pro pass instead of not being able to play without the pro pass, but other than that its a great app amazing controller mapping but as of now i cannot play

I own mantis pro but Im struggling to make a "shoot" button where I can hold down the RT button, is there a way to change the button settings from tab to hold?

Mantis supports all controllers that can be read by your Android OS. You can test the controller in Mantis by simply connecting it to your device. You can perform the test without activating MantisBuddy. You can also use the Gamepad Tester App (play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.elron.gamepadtester) to perform the test. Give it a try and let us know.
I have Mantis buddy connected & the controller is connected via Bluetooth, but it still won't connect to the app? Is there something I have to do post the Mantis buddy?
Have you tested it with the gamepad tester app? Most likely, you will need to switch its input mode for it to be detected as an HID device by your Android. You can refer to your Gamepad's manual to know how to do it.

Neat, but didn't work on my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra wireless pairing just sometimes worked and sometimes not for no apparent reason, then when it did, the buddy service wouldn't launch.
I'm pretty sad, my phone's touch screen stopped working and I was hoping this app would be the saving grace, unfortunately when I "add game" I have no way to scroll down, even with a mouse cursor...help pls.
the right analog stick is very buggy and pauses in a sequential manner while holding stick in a specific direction. lets say im holding right, it will pause every 3 seconds consistently. then wen i let go, it will still be going right for like 4-5 more seconds. Is there a known issue with this? theres nothing wrong with the controller. ive done this with multiple controller. im using a zfold 4

Hi there, a WiFi/Hotspot is needed everytime you need to activate the MantisBuddy Service. MantisBuddy's activation period depends on the device's Battery/RAM management algorithm. You can go into the app info section of Mantis, disable Battery Optimization and see if that improves the activation period. Also, to use the Virtual Mouse Mode, you will need to tap both thumbstick buttons together. So make sure those button of you controller are recognized during calibration phase. Also, make sure you have the PRO Version activated since this feature comes with the PRO Pass.
Great app it just needs a setup for games like pubg or warzone when you need to loot or adjust your inventory. Or like genshin impact going through your different menus you have to put down the controller and go back to touch.
This app isn't working. I am incredibly frustrated. Whenever i launch a game after a minute or two, the mantis overlay will just disappear. Can someone help?
Question: why do you have limited time to play the game only? We run out of credits. To get more time do we wait to get more credits or do we just have to pay for unlimited credits?
The activation process is not related or dependent upon the type of the controller you use. The activation is needed so we can give Mantis its screen mapping abilities in a BAN-Free manner. In which step are you stuck exactly? Can you share a screenshot of it with us at contact@mantispro.app? We will look into it.
I want to use mantis to fix the key mapping of the controller, since left and right trigger are misinterpreted by the phone as right thumbstick movements. the game I want to play (dead cells) recognises the controller and therefore disables the touch control, so I can't use the regular way of mapping controller input to touch gestures. Is there a way to pass through the recalibrated controller to the game?
- Restart the device. - Tap on "Revoke USB Debugging authorizations" in the developer options. - Open Mantis and try pairing it again by following the steps.
I have a rooted phone. The description says it will automatically activate, but that's not the case. I still need to follow the instructions to activate certain settings in developer options to get the service working.
If your Android Device is Rooted, you will not need to perform any activation steps. The MantisBuddy Connection will be made automatically. Go to PC activation or Android to Android activation screen and a Popup will automatically appear asking to "Grant Root Access". If it doesn't, go into the Magisk Manager App and Grant Root Access to Mantis. Sometimes, you also may need to restart the app to detect Root. After Root is detected by Mantis, go to the MantisBuddy section and it will be automatically activated within 10 secs. If the issue persists, let us know at contact@mantispro.app.
Same connection ps3 controller.i don't have wifi but data. But I was able to pair it with my ps3 controller. And I don't have wifi but data to use. The Wireless Debugging feature of Android can only turn on when connected to a WiFi/ MobileHotspot. For this purpose, a WiFi without any Internet Connection will also work. Mobile Data will not be of any use in this case. If you do not have access to WiFi at all, you can try using the PC or Android-to-Android activation method which is not dependent upon the Wireless Debugging feature.

The issue happens with the DualSense controller due to missing driver files in the Android OS. Based on our testing, this issue seems to happen on some Android 11/12 devices. You can test this using the Gamepad Tester app (play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.elron.gamepadtester). You can also test this issue with Games like CODM which has native support for this particular controller. Only your device manufacturer can solve this issue by providing the correct drivers for this controller with an update. FYI, this issue seems to have been resolved after the Android 13 update on most devices.

I just got the Mantis Pro, working with the Kishi for "Area Breakout" and works amazing, no issues. The phone i'm using is a Samsung S20 Ultra.

One "error" happened to me, "Pair vie Wireless Debugging" didn't work for first but I just needed to restart my phone

Hi there, If the Pair Overlay is not showing over Settings during On-Device Activation, please go to developer options and turn on "Allow Screen Overlays on Settings". Then the pairing window will float over the “Settings” app and you will be able to put the code in it directly. This is mentioned in the 5th step at 3:10.
How can I download those settings to COD layout? It would be nice to be able to find pre-made Phases for games, even if done by the community.

How about a pro feature where users can just download a button mapping for a game which has been shared by other players that are already using Mantis buddy for that game. Like a community tab or something. That would save a lot of time for a lot of people to map buttons for every single game themselves.
Of course people would still be able to create their own control mappings if they wanted.

One question, would it be possible to create something similar considering FPS mobile games like CoD where we could adapt bluetooth mouse and keyboard in our phone?
Nice application, the top to update would be the possibility to have a touch option to simulate your finger always on the screen, cause there is so many shoot' em up to play like that, the fact is when you pull off tour finger the game goes to pause, game like skyforce or galaga wars. I'm desesperate to play these game with joypad on android, do you know if it's possible to include that In the future? thanks.
This apps really work on how to imitate the touch screen functions on game with simple control interfaces. We have to compromise for the more complex interfaces thou (ie. a game with QTE that has very random button or gesture positions) but nevertheless this apps still working fine. And also if you're using wireless connection you gotta make sure you have a stable connection, I mean really stable.

The gamesir x2 offers key mapping on the gamesir app and you won't have to connect it with usb debugging every time
Im using this while playing wuthering waves in my android. Im using my ps4 controller.

Its working perfectly fine. But my question, is there a way to incorporate the touchpad into the functions? Theres a lot of functions and all are already occupied with each equivalent button. I can still do the functions by dropping the controller and touching the screen directly then returning back to controller. Would be nice if this is not the case. ❤️

is there any other options or solution if your phone don't have "allow screen overlays on Settings" option? I am using Honor phone. Thank you.
We have been recently made aware that some Honor Devices do not have the "Allow overlays on Settings" option. So keeping that in mind, we are working on another way of activating Mantis with Wireless Debugging that do not require any overlays. Meanwhile, you can try entering the code in split screen mode, if that is feasible. You can also try other other activation modes like PC or the Android to Android activation mode.
Could you make it work for android subsystems on windows perhaps without debugging via wifi?

I have a question, so i am trying it out but everytime i get the the game like after the games load in so i can see all the button and i go to put everything in place the little green overlap thing disappears. And if i do it all before i can see the in games buttons then all the stuff i put on disappears when the in games buttons appear.

Hi, Thanks for the comment. You can turn off the "Always-On buttons" feature from the settings section in the overlay, where the opacity option is located.

@@mr.justicethelegend The On-Device activation method uses Wireless Debugging feature of Android, which can only turn on when the device is connected to a WiFi/Mobile Hotspot. For this purpose, you can also use a WiFi without an internet connection. Mobile Data will not be of any use in this case.
If you do not have access to a WiFi device at all, you can try the PC or the Android to Android activation method. If your device is Rooted, you can also try the permanent Root Activation method.

The Virtual Mouse Mode can be turned on by pressing both thumbstick buttons at the same time. So make sure they are detected at the calibration phase.

I keep pressing (allow debugging dialogue) but even after 20 seconds it still won't show up, I tried this countless times before and it still won't show up! can anyone help?
The “Allow Debugging” prompt is generated by the Android OS and on some devices, it may take up to 20 seconds to appear after tapping the Green Allow Button. If it does not, simply mark it as done and proceed. If you face any issues during the pairing stage later on, simply restart the device and try it again.

Hi there, the MantisBuddy setup steps that are shown here are required for both wired and wireless gamepads. This process is required to go around Android OS restrictions and give Mantis its screen mapping ablties. So only after the MantisBuddy service is activated, you will able to use your controller inside the game.
Only problem with the app is that after playing a certain amount of time to use the app again i need to buy the pro pass, im not saying everything should be free im saying only some feutures should need pro pass instead of not being able to play without the pro pass, but other than that its a great app amazing controller mapping but as of now i cannot play

I own mantis pro but Im struggling to make a "shoot" button where I can hold down the RT button, is there a way to change the button settings from tab to hold?
Which game are you playing? Try using the "Scope" feature in the second page and let us know if it helps with mapping the shoot button in your game.

Mantis supports all controllers that can be read by your Android OS. You can test the controller in Mantis by simply connecting it to your device. You can perform the test without activating MantisBuddy.

I have Mantis buddy connected & the controller is connected via Bluetooth, but it still won't connect to the app? Is there something I have to do post the Mantis buddy?
Have you tested it with the gamepad tester app? Most likely, you will need to switch its input mode for it to be detected as an HID device by your Android. You can refer to your Gamepad's manual to know how to do it.

Neat, but didn't work on my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra wireless pairing just sometimes worked and sometimes not for no apparent reason, then when it did, the buddy service wouldn't launch.

I'm pretty sad, my phone's touch screen stopped working and I was hoping this app would be the saving grace, unfortunately when I "add game" I have no way to scroll down, even with a mouse cursor...help pls.
the right analog stick is very buggy and pauses in a sequential manner while holding stick in a specific direction. lets say im holding right, it will pause every 3 seconds consistently. then wen i let go, it will still be going right for like 4-5 more seconds. Is there a known issue with this? theres nothing wrong with the controller. ive done this with multiple controller. im using a zfold 4

Hi there, a WiFi/Hotspot is needed everytime you need to activate the MantisBuddy Service. MantisBuddy's activation period depends on the device's Battery/RAM management algorithm. You can go into the app info section of Mantis, disable Battery Optimization and see if that improves the activation period.
Also, to use the Virtual Mouse Mode, you will need to tap both thumbstick buttons together. So make sure those button of you controller are recognized during calibration phase. Also, make sure you have the PRO Version activated since this feature comes with the PRO Pass.
Great app it just needs a setup for games like pubg or warzone when you need to loot or adjust your inventory. Or like genshin impact going through your different menus you have to put down the controller and go back to touch.

My wireless debugging doesn't work
I'm stuck on the wireless pairing step, because I am using a wired controller, Gamesir T4 Kaleid.
The activation process is not related or dependent upon the type of the controller you use. The activation is needed so we can give Mantis its screen mapping abilities in a BAN-Free manner. In which step are you stuck exactly? Can you share a screenshot of it with us at contact@mantispro.app? We will look into it.
How do we switch between settings? Multiplayer settings isn't the same as battle royale. Remapping each time is annoying
I want to use mantis to fix the key mapping of the controller, since left and right trigger are misinterpreted by the phone as right thumbstick movements. the game I want to play (dead cells) recognises the controller and therefore disables the touch control, so I can't use the regular way of mapping controller input to touch gestures. Is there a way to pass through the recalibrated controller to the game?
My controller is a wired controller and plugged into my phone with an OTG cable and when I start pairing it just loads there
Please try the following:
- Restart the device.
- Tap on "Revoke USB Debugging authorizations" in the developer options.
- Open Mantis and try pairing it again by following the steps.

I have a rooted phone. The description says it will automatically activate, but that's not the case. I still need to follow the instructions to activate certain settings in developer options to get the service working.
If your Android Device is Rooted, you will not need to perform any activation steps. The MantisBuddy Connection will be made automatically.
Go to PC activation or Android to Android activation screen and a Popup will automatically appear asking to "Grant Root Access". If it doesn't, go into the Magisk Manager App and Grant Root Access to Mantis. Sometimes, you also may need to restart the app to detect Root.
After Root is detected by Mantis, go to the MantisBuddy section and it will be automatically activated within 10 secs.
If the issue persists, let us know at contact@mantispro.app.

The Wireless Debugging feature of Android can only turn on when connected to a WiFi/ MobileHotspot. For this purpose, a WiFi without any Internet Connection will also work. Mobile Data will not be of any use in this case.
If you do not have access to WiFi at all, you can try using the PC or Android-to-Android activation method which is not dependent upon the Wireless Debugging feature.

The issue happens with the DualSense controller due to missing driver files in the Android OS. Based on our testing, this issue seems to happen on some Android 11/12 devices. You can test this using the Gamepad Tester app (play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.elron.gamepadtester). You can also test this issue with Games like CODM which has native support for this particular controller. Only your device manufacturer can solve this issue by providing the correct drivers for this controller with an update.
FYI, this issue seems to have been resolved after the Android 13 update on most devices.

Please download the new 2.1b update and then restart the device once. Afterwards, in developer options tap on "Revoke USB Debugging authorizations" before turning on Wireless Debugging.
