I don't know if it's just me but you're looking absolutely beautiful and glowing. Your confidence and acceptance inspired me so much with my own TE journey. I hope whatever the outcome is in a couple months, you'd still be positive and love yourself. ♥️

I appreciate you’re being vulnerable with us.
Like you, I’ve gotten an illness but i didn’t think of working on it until it became chronic. One thing i wish someone told me is that my body was communicating with me and I wasn’t listening, i took painkillers and antibiotics which only concealed but didnt fix. Physical illness stems from mental or the guts, when the brain tries to communicate needing that attention, and we dont listen… it switches to physical illness.
You’re committed to finding the cure, and I admire that very much!!
Have you looked into whether your illness can be cured with a certain diet or anything natural (gut wise)? And how has your mental health been before the hair situation?
No criticism in anything you’ve been doing, I’m just adding to it and I sincerely wish you the best❤

thank you for this. I was definitely always on high output work mode before and even after the hair loss. High stress just comes with medical school. Diet and exercise have been a focus for me. Eating anti inflammatory foods, and exercising to reduce stress. I just posted an updated video with everything I'm doing. I appreciate your kind words.

Thank you so much for your vulnerability in sharing your story. It’s been a year ago around this time that I tested positive for covid, and I’m at about 9 months of my TE journey. I struggle so much to find strength day to day, but I keep pushing & trying to find the balance of a healthy life style to encourage my hair fall to stop. It’s so refreshing to see your beautiful face and strength. Thank you ❤️

Hey! I recommend visiting the ottawa hair loss clinic and get a consulation. I went through telogen effluvium around the same time as you and once I visited the scalp and hair expert and used her products my hair started growing back and stopped shedding completely. She’s a little expensive but I highly recommend as a natural opinion over a dermatologist. She gives you a personalized approach on what the root cause of your hair loss and how to stop your hair from falling out. It changed my life!

She looks gorgeous by the way. But several months ago I was having terrible hair shedding. It was scaring me. I was taking hair vitamins but nothing seemed to help. After doing some research I decided to try Nutrafol but I also ordered the hairbiotic. I truly believe the combination of both was the game changer. Because the shedding is almost non existent now. The hairbiotic supports a better digestion and balance to improve hair quality. The combo is a bit expensive, but I believe it’s well worth it. We appreciate the update❤️❤️

Hi Geidily! I love the shape of your hair at the back. Please don't be discouraged over the length of time things are taking. Remember that things hair-related generally work in 6 months cycles - at least that's what i remember my tricologist saying regarding supplements. It's to do with the length of time the blood takes to completely renew. So seeing little indication of radical improvement doesn't mean it's not in the pipeline. You've largely got yourself to thank for the progress with the front. Ring is lovely, too, and the earrings are to die for! Wishing you all the best for the new year, too!

You’re hair on top does look really healthy now.
I experienced all the same as you after CoVid.
    I too did Rosemary oil.
When my scalp became itchy, I used Peppermint Essential Oil mixed in a spray jar w Witch Hazel & sprayed my hair every other day. It was so soothing. I would have never thought Peppermint would stop the itch, but it totally did.
    I wash every 3rd day w shampoo.
On day 2 - just water & conditioner.
On day 3- The spray of witch hazel & peppermint essential oil.
    Day 4-Then back to shampoo.
    I too, cut my hair.
It was originally down to my hips.
    Totally silky & straight.
Now it is just level w my earlobes.
    I hate the look.
I could go shorter & get a Pixie, like you - but am wearing wigs & just trim the “frizzy” ends off, each month.
You definitely have the pretty face for a Pixie. It looks great on you. 🤗
As my hair is growing back, it is curly and frizzy. I can’t believe it.
Never did I have this texture or curl or frizz. It is bizarre.
    My Dr gave me Spirolactone.
It is to increase hair growth.
I begin it on Monday & will let you know how it works.
    Keep smiling.
Good luck at school, hope it’s going well for you. 😇🌹❤️
    Happy holidays too dear!!!🙏🏼

@@cearilindubhlaoi9507 Hi, it’s absolutely wild that you wrote today.
      Yes, I can update you.
I had a Dr. Appt yesterday with an Endocrinologist.
She went over all my labs.
She looked at my thin, but longer than before - new curly hair.
She looked at the labs I did 6-12 months ago.
She was sending me for more & then the 💡 Bulb went on for her.
I said “I am moving in 10 days & so I will go to the lab right now, or if I have to fast, in the morning so you can get the results before I move”
I continued…”I was in so much pain packing last week that I went to an Orthopedic Dr & got cortisone knees Les in both my knees & now thankfully, I am out of pain & moving great”
She stopped & looked at me & asked me to repeat what I said.
Then she asked when I began getting these needles in my knees.
I told her the end of 2018.
She looked up my labs from then.
Turned to me & asked for photos of my hair from then. I showed her.
She asked how often I had these cortisone shots in my knees.
I explained, in 2018 every 6 months, but in 2020 - he began to do them every 3 months.
She said: “This is why you are losing your hair, why you can’t lose weight & why your face is puffy & you have that strange lump on your neck now”
She said: I knew you inhaled asthma steroids - but I did not know about these needles until now.
      Stop them.
The blood work will not be accurate because you just got the needles last week.
Wait 7-10 months & then see an Endocrinologist in your new city & have them do the labs.
Your problem is that the cortisone is all throughput your system & your hair is fighting to survive it”
So that was less than 24 hours ago.
Amazing that I just learned this & you asked about things.
      No coincidences in life.
I still use a Rosemary rinse on my scalp when it’s dry & it feels soothed after that. Or the peppermint one. Both help.
My hair is about 4 inches longer than it was, but it’s still curly & we did not discuss why. After she realized that I had those cortisone needles, we basically both knew- nothing good was going to happen until they are out of my body & I have to be patient for at least 7-10 months now.
What a drag huh? I just did them 6 days ago.
      But thank you for asking.
Let’s hope for the best for all of us.
      ❤️😇🤗❤️

@@MontanaParra1 that is unbelievable but you know what I believe it ...my story is something similar.
Last year started to shed massive amount of hair lost about 50% I'm so lucky I had a massive head of thick hair to start with .but the texture also completely changed drier so dry frizzy candyfloss type hair ... I had a very stressful sad hard year with 3 traumatic events practically one after the other..
Now with all my research a year later it was tellogen Effliuvm...acute I would say..
I was doing everything you name it nothing was working it then got worse in texture and shedding...
I had just started to take vaniqa cream for facial hair it worked amazing but .........it was effecting my scalp hair 😩 one of the most common side effects was hairloss alopecia...only found this out yesterday so now vaniqa is in the bin 😑 it was so expensive too and I had 3 month's supply just bought ..
So I'm hoping my hair will improve from here on in fingers crossed 🤞
But I guess the lesson to learn here is don't trust medications read their side effects because its a medication for a reason..I really hope you have found your solution 😉...there is nothing as bad as thin horrible frizzy hair..our hair makes us its just that simple ..goodluck my lovely best wishes from Ireland 🇮🇪 xx

Ask your doctor to do blood work on your iron levels. When my iron is extremely low my hair falls out. A friend of mine struggled with patches of hair missing and it was her iron. She was going to the dermatologist for two years with no results.

You are a strong woman! I am going through the same thing. My TE started in Jan 2022 after having COVID in Nov 2021. My hair loss seems to happen more when I wash my hair and it feels like I've lost about 50%, of my hair. I started a hair growth supplement about 15 days ago and I do notice the little baby hairs growing back. I came across some information about the dht hormone and it's link to the overproduction of testosterone which is linked to male hair loss and balding. It was very interesting and can effect women as well. I bought this supplement that is all natural and helps to block the production of dht in the system as the dht seems to sit in the hair follicle which causes hair loss and prevents hair regrowth. A good diet can help with this as well, but you would have to consume so much for it to have an immediate effect. I've also heard about the herb Ashwaganda that helps with the stimulation of hair growth so I'm going to try that as well. Maybe COVID has kicked off some kind of overproduction of testosterone and dht which is contributing to TE in some people. I hope someone is taking data on this and doing reliable research.....

I’m so sorry to hear about your hairloss. I agree it would be interesting to know if any have had hormone tests for T levels. My hair also started to shed heavily from January 2022 and I assumed this was due to high testosterone levels/pcos because my skin broke out badly around the same time. I then started to look into pcos on UA-cam and discovered a whole wave of people with hair loss due to covid and thinking back I’m pretty sure I had covid in October and 3 months later now hairloss so that adds up. I had got my skin under control pretty quickly luckily with lots of androgen supplements like licorice, spearmint, red reishi, zinc, saw palmetto. The hair shedding is still ongoing - it hasn’t been as bad as some have reported though maybe I’m still in the early stages :/ I had fine/damaged hair to begin with though :( still taking the androgen supplements in the hope that if it is DHT related I can minimise the shedding!
