In my last video, I discussed my very emotional journey with hair loss (Telogen Effluvium) and I made a huge announcement: after 8 years of being ALL NATURAL, I'm going to do a BIG CHOP! I want to start my curly hair journey over again to restore my hair's volume by reducing shedding and nourishing my hair. Enjoy my reaction (and my boyfriend's!) to me cutting my own hair into a pixie cut!
Also, Valentine's day is coming up! 💋 ❤️ My boyfriend, Joseph and I, discussed our valentine's day plans at the end of the video and have brought you all some amazing news🤩 : Inside dining in NYC will open at 25% capacity starting on VALENTINES DAY!!! reason why is because i had the same hair , thin, long , and my curls were just not full and just like you it felt like little hair. i told my girl i was over it, it’s not healthy and watching videos modulated me to do the chop…and just like
you i felt so beautiful i did a shirt pixie buzz and i have no regrets whatsoever.

Your hair and yourself look amazing! I did the same thing last year, it felt freeing and the hair startet to regrow beautifully since it had not to nourish the length. It was a journey but now it is chin-length and looks better than ever!

Thank you so much!! It’s a struggle... but I’m much happier after cutting it. I’m able to put all the stimulating good healthy products straight to my scalp and my hair is growing! The hair loss continues ofc as cutting it doesn’t stop that... but I just feel way better!

The grow out is haidis. Lol im outgrowing a pixie from nov 2020. Cut off my "tail" in june 21... Hairs at jaw length right now after the tail removal\trim.

I love your haircut, and had 3 friends tell me this week - to do this for the exact same reason. CoVid Hair Loss.
My shower walls, looked just like yours.
My hair was stick straight & down to my belt, waist.
Like your loss, tons fell out all over. No bare patches. Super thin. I look like a crazy lady now.
I kept trimming it.
1 inch each month.
Straight across the bottom.
But it didn’t help.
Finally it was so short, up to my neck.
It’s gotten frizzy & curly & kinky too.
I have never had curly hair in my life.
This is so bizarre.
Anyway, I hate my hair now.
It’s so thin.
So scraggly.
So frizzy.
Today my best friend told me to get a Pixie cut.
She said, just do it, and I told her my hair has been long all my life - I can’t imagine myself with short hair.
Like you, I pull it into a tiny little ponytail & make a tiny bun.
My hair band has to get wrapped around it 4 times, it’s so thin.

How awesome are you! You look absolutely stunning! I love how you were feeling yourself, that’s so empowering to see, I loved it! I have been suffering diffuse hair loss for some time now but the worst of it has been occurring in the past two years and right now my hair density is at its all time worst. I must have lost 70% of my hair. When I go to put it into a ponytail, I can loop the hair tye around like 4 times. I have like 1.5 inches of width left to my entire when I hold it all together😣😣😣 I watched your TE video and know exactly what you mean by how ‘weightless’ it feels. It’s heartbreaking and i never knew my hair would make such an impact on my self confidence/image. The ironic thing is my hair is the longest its ever been but its so thin it doesn’t make me happy. I would love to shave it and start all over but people/society/coworkers gonna think I went crazy and had a breakdown. I will consider this, your haircut. You are so cute and halle barry who? Awe this comment made my day! Thank you so much for sharing. I know it can be so difficult to deal with this, specially "societal norms." Many people told me not to do it either because my curly hair "is so beautiful" but they did not know how stressful and difficult it was and how it damaged my self esteem. Only you know what's best for you.
Since cutting my hair, I literally feel liberated and my hair is growing tremendously fast. My scalp feels well nourished and I am also seeing an increase in hair count due to putting rosemary oil on there.
I wish you the best with whatever you decide to do! Just think of yourself and your own mental sanity and do what's best for YOU!

This video is so inspiring! You look beautiful 💗 You should look into bounce curls, their products are amazing and super clean. They have hair vitamins that strengthens hair & gives proper nutrients!
thank you so much! I'll definitely look into bounce curls! At the moment I'm trying a brand using their hair vitamins as well as growth oils, but as soon as I complete my two month growth results, I'm going to look into other brands so thank you for this recommendation!

How long have you been treating it before you cut it? I'm scared that I will look bald if I cut it short but I've been wanting to cut it short for so long. I've done a big chop before but a long time before this telogen effluvium

Do i have to get a big chop of my hair is like this ? I felt my hair got ticket but it is kinda like this in certain areas but my hair is still even since my last trim can i just cut ends as my TE ends? I really don't want to cut my hair
No you definitely do not have to do this. This was a personal choice!
Did ur hair stop shedding once you cut it ?
oh no it did not. However, it allowed me to be less stressed bc I do not get to see a dramatic amount of hair in my shower every single time I washed my hair. It was more for my mental health rather than stopping the hair loss. Oftentimes, when losing hair - its due to stress - but then you stress yourself out more bc you see more hair loss - therefore it create a vicious cycle of stress upon stress. Now, although hair is still falling I'm not witnessing it as much.It's sort of like a placebo effect.
Those tight buns arent helping health\growth tho. Looser buns\ponies later on maybe. 😍😍😍 Youre gorgeous. Im always so jealous of girls who go bald or pixie short & look fab. I dont think id have looked as bad though if i wasnt so heavy. Cant wait for healthy butt length hair lol
