To call it "Venice of the Cotswolds" doesn't mean it looks like Venice. It merely means it has a canal running through it.
I think the young lady in the video was taking the description too seriously. I've been to Venice and if you go there the wrong time of year, the canals can really stink.
The neighborhood with all the houses is gorgeous. Check out some of the other videos on Bourton on the Water before you decide it's worth only a one time visit. This video does not capture a lot of the really beautiful places there.
