Are These The Best Hidden Gems in the Peak District?
Excellent video! Lake district was already on the list this year but it's going to move up the priority scale now!
I would’ve preferred a lot more views of the castles themselves rather than views from the castle or footage of you speaking.
Yes please! Make more like this. We enjoyed it. It was very interesting. Made it a bit different from other travel videos. 👍❤️
Thank yyou so much for watching, and I'm glad you enjoyed the video! I really enjoyed making it and delving deep into Cornwall's mining history, so I'll be sure to make more in the near future!!
Wonderful ❤ video. we missed dolphin watching but next time will definitely go.
Thank you so much for watching, and I'm glad you enjoyed it! Do be sure to head out to see some dolphins (and maybe even whales) on your next visit; it's an amazing experience!!
If you’re going to make a video about Welsh places please learn how to say the names correctly.
I came here from @RegenerationNationTV and their reaction to your Welsh Castles video. I cannot believe I haven't seen your videos before. Looking forward to a nice binge watch
WHY DID YOU MISS OUT CAENARVON CASTLE?????
No Chepstow Castle? 😂 Britains oldest stone built castle?? 🤔
This is a dream destination for me. And I hope to go there in a couple of years. Thank you for showing these beautiful places. Subscribed 😊
Great video. I have actually myself visited all of these places - also Carn Euny. Some in 2018 and 2019, and some last year. I find the mining history fascinating and I love to watch videos from the whole of Cornwall. Thank you for making this lovely and educational video. 😊
Thank you for watching, and I'm really glad that it brought back some fond memories of your own travels! Cornwall is truly a special place with so much history to explore
Very interesting watch! ❤
Glad you think so!
👋
Thanks for watching!!
Loved listening to the history of the mines and the lives of people working them. Very intesting
I thought I'd try something a little different with this one, so I'm really glad you enjoyed it!
Hey great video. We’re from the US and I leave next weekend to go back home. We’re currently staying in Brandon and wanted a fun day trip and this looks like it fits the bill. Any other recommendations or tips we should know? Cheers
My gr8 grandad was Welsh from (Brecon) came out to Australia in 1855, built a franchise of butcher company’s back in the day (Canowindra) 🏴🇬🇧🇦🇺
Hey,a fellow Queen fan! 😁
Lovely, well presented video - thank you so much for highlighting our wonderful building!
Best series on the UK I’ve seen. Great job!
Thanks so much for your kind words! And I'm really glad you're enjoying the videos!!
Nice video, but it’s not “Bamber” castle & not “The” Holy Island, just Holy Island. Sadly we no longer have the Sycamore Gap tree after criminals cut it down 😢.
this was great--photography was beautiful and the narration was excellent!
The Lake District can be so beautiful in the winter ❄️
Youy know it!!
This is the most comprehensive most useful Dijon guide I’ve ever seen 👏🏼 thank you
Thank you so much for watching, and I'm really glad it was helpful!
The lake district definately has its charm in the winter and so quiet. Another great video
It really does! Much like many places across England, beautiful and quiet at the same time!
As an American who is planning to visit the UK later this year, I am so enjoying your videos! They are so well done visually as well as the music and you are a lovely couple! So blessed! Thank you!
Thank you so much for watching, and I'm really glad to hear you're enjoying the videos!! I hope you enjoy your trip to the UK and feel free to let me know if you need any more advice/suggestions for your trip!
@@AlexTravels1 I will - thank you so much!!!
It looks so peaceful in Winter... But cold too😀
It really is both peaceful and cold! Thanks for watching!
Oh yess I adore the Lake District!! But I don’t really like cold weather, I adore it…when it’s warm! Rydal cave is so cool, I remember going once a couple of years ago and just outside people built loads of towers out of all the loose pieces of slate. Of course I didn’t give up til it was bigger than my sister’s 💪 And the lemon & poppysead shortbread I got from the apple pie cafe literally sent me to heaven! I also hope to hike up Scafell when me and my parents are fit enough, haha! It’s great to see you and Nelly exploring familiar places, and have a good time!
Thanks so much for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed the video! We loved Rydal Cave too and we did see many slate towers all around it. I imagine it would be lovely in the warm summer but we've only ever visited in the colder months so far. We'll have to head back when the weather warms up!
@@AlexTravels1 thank you! Yes, I’ve yet to see the Lake District in winter 👍🤜🤛
I couldn’t watch it… I simply don’t why people think loud background music is a good thing in a video that people watch to get information
😀
Thanks for watching!!
NOT FAR FROM ME by train etc!! 😀 Hopefully, I can go SOON!
Thanks for watching! It's a lovely part of the country and I really hope you enjoy your trip!!
Thanks❤🏴
Thanks for watching!!
Nice trip I love Wales I've visited Barry Island and Borth
How about Lands End? And the Logan rock. That was stunning when I was there. How about Truro, Mousehole for charming towns?
Just a suggestion, maybe try Isle of Skye, really enjoy your channel
Thank you for watching and I'm really glad to hear you're enjoying the videos! We're really hoping to get up to Scotland this year and we'll definitely visit Isle of Skye when we do!!
HNY! Your art (what I saw here) is really beautiful! Looking forward to more videos! 🎉
Happy new year!! Thank you so much and more videos will be on the way very soon!
Could you do a video of the library- Windermere
Can't wait!😁
Thanks for watching!
Looking forward to these
Thank you for watching, they'll be coming within the next couple of months!
Yay!! People embracing Winter! I personally love Winter for many reasons; one of them you mentioned: it's easier to do challenging hikes in the cooler weather. The only thing that depresses me about Winter is the general sulky attitude of most people. Seasonal change is beautiful in my opinion. At the moment, we live in Southern CA, and it's actually very depressing in that there is very little change day-to-day and month-to-month. Anyway, beautiful vlog! HNY! 🎉
Winter is my favourite time to be out in the countryside (when the weather is nice). it's so crisp, fresh, and especially when the sun is making everything golden and everything is covered in that thin layer of mist! Thanks so much for watching and I'm really glad you enjoyed the video!!
I got spoiled by Scottish island trips, curiosity brought me to check this one, while it's nice, Scotland beats anything 8:23 , thanks for showing scale... Shocked you did not film the old lighthouse
Indeed, it was an adventure watching your video. Can I see the same type weather in the month of April ? In which month you have visited?
Hi, thank you so much for watching, and I'm really glad you enjoyed the video. This video was filmed in June 2023. I imagine the weather would also be great in April; maybe a little colder in Switzerland and the Dolomites, so it may be worth checking before planning your trip. I hope that helps and enjoy your adventure when you go!
I did Switzerland in April last year. It was chilly, sometimes a little rainy but the sun would pop out every now then. It was very enjoyable.
Kinder is famous for the water flowing up the downfall, when conditions are right. G
Hi, thank you for sharing your experience. I’m going next week and wondering what map guide to follow to get to those lovely locations especially the lake
Luckily, all locations within the city itself are very walkable and easy to find. Many of the others are relatively easy to find on Google Maps, as there are main roads that take you almost all the way there. Each one of the mountain locations has a small car park too (even the more hidden spots like Xyliatos Dam & Reservoir). All hikes around Troodos are very well signposted (and some even start from the same point). Thank you so much for watching, and I really hope you're enjoying your trip!!
Lucky enough to live here. Unlucky enough to see its decline, too many visitors who show lack of respect for the park. Countryside code seems to have been forgotten.
Is it safe to visit Yorkshire Dales on your own in the winter?
Hi everyone, thank you so much for watching! If you want a full 10-day road trip itinerary across the entire Peak District with over 30 things to do, feel free to check out my latest video, in which I’ll give you exactly that! ua-cam.com/video/86zMzDDgons/v-deo.html
why would I want the future to look like the eden project?...
Next time you visit you should clime Gordale Scar (easy scramble, I used to do it with my Golden Retriever) and follow it to Malam Tarn, then back down to the Cove. Great hike
Thanks for the advice!! I did actually consider climbing up as I noticed a small path when we visited, but we were running out of time that day sadly. I'll be sure to head back and do that when next in the Yorkshire Dales though!!
Did you know where you were in the park is where the people who Shakespeare based his main characters for the Tempest lived and it is also said that a mid summers night dream was also first performed there at a wedding.
Hi Alex! Love your video on lake district and it's really helpful for my coming trip in January next year. Do you recommend any hotel/apartment and in which area for a 3 days 2 nights tour in the Lake District? Thanks!
Hi! Thank you for watching, and I'm really glad you found the video helpful! I couldn't recommend any specific hotel but anywhere around Ambleside is a great location in which you're never too far from any of the locations in this video. We have always stayed in AirBnb's because we like having a kitchen to cook some good food after a long hike! I really hope you enjoy your trip! Winter is a wonderful time to explore the Lake District!
Nice video Alex! Have you been to Goathland? It's been in a lot of TV and film productions, like Harry Potter. It's a beautiful village with a steam train station, about 15 minutes drive from Whitby (it's also on the bus route from York). Another picture postcard place I'd recommend is Hutton-le-Hole, and also Dalby Forest.
