Yes it does! I haven't gotten to use it much lately though. I was in Alaska for 2 weeks and a week in Utah last month. I'll be out on the river somewhere tomorrow though.
Tom used a hot butter knife to cut through it, but I wanted to keep mine as a spare. I took a small flat screwdriver and gently started pushing it under the o-ring in different spots around it on the outer side and on the inner side with a little pressure outward until it gave up and started sliding right out. I wasn’t sure it was going to work, then all at once it slide right out. I like the new ring he sells much better than the aluminum ring. Better speed and it stays put, where the aluminum ring always slide out every time I pulled the pump.
Thanks for sharing. Nice upgrades. Those units are really cool. I'd like to have one for running around on the river. 👍🇺🇲✌️
Yep, it is perfect for searching the rivers for artifacts. Thanks for stopping by!
Nice upgrades! It just keeps getting better!

Thanks! Good luck on your next hunt!
What’s the best way to remove the original wear ring? I’ve bought the new one just haven’t had time to replace it yet.

You could try a little liquid wrench or wd-40 before trying the screwdriver method. That might loosen it up and make it easier.
When is the electric model coming out?
I haven’t heard any talk of an electric model. Just gas engines at this point.
You are joking right? :)
