Billy Whizz, one of England's greatest wingers/fullbacks. His balance and acceleration were world-class, and he was a fearless defender. Loved watching him play.
I remember he played with Giteau, Nonu, Conrad Smith, and other stars for the Barbarians v a first choice South Africa in 07 and was by far the best player. One of the best that have ever played, if he was an All Black or Springbok it wouldn't even be in doubt
@@markdavies9054Shane was excellent but remember that Jason had already played a full rugby league career where he was, IMO the best winger in the world, before starting his union career.
The most powerful ankles in rugby! Its a shame you couldn't also show his League tries. That set his foundation for his Union career, but an incredible player in both codes.
Brilliant player and top bloke. However, I had forgotten how frightening his shimmy, show and step at pace was ... good luck one on one even getting a hand on him!
Some of his best runs werent his try scoring ones. Some outrageous line breaks from fb in 01, 02, and 07. The Twickenham crowd used to cheer in anticipation each time he got the ball. What a compliment to a player
I always have to say to my union friends that he was even faster when he played in League. By the time he switched he was that little bit older maybe not quite as quick but had incredible instincts and ability to see a line to run. Awesome player
Thanks for a great video on a fantastic player. I think he is the best fullback since Serge Blanco. And well done for making videos of great players outside South Africa! 😊
I 'always' look at the Robinson try in the 2003 final and think that if Wilkinson had seen Cohen on the right, then a simple run in under the posts. Extra 2 points (conversion was missed in real life) and maybe an easier win for England and no extra time drop goal glory. Lol
Its not an excuse. WTF man?! If I'm a rugby union channel, why would I showcase League? I don't even have any league footage in my archive, so can I include it. Thanks for the pointless criticism though
@@RealRugby I wasn't asking you to 'showcase rugby league', simp[y making a point about how good he was at that code. Pease don't throw any more toys out of your pram, your mummy will get very annoyed with you when she has to pick them up off the floor.
The title says Real Rugby ? Rugby Union, real rugby, your having a laugh 🤣🤣🤣 Rugby Union is where Rugby League players go for a big pay day and a rest, it was once said on SKY TV if memory serves me right, and this was by a ex ENGLAND international player ( he was so biast, and was Union through and through) that Jason Robinson was by far to small, and that he wasn't big or good enough to play for England, Oh how that man had to eat his own words, ⚓️ what a plonker. 🤡 As a Rugby League man, and It really pains me to say this, but Jason Robinson, an ex -Rugby League player (BILLY WIZZ), was probably one of the best wingers that England has ever had 👍🏴

Unbelievably dangerous player...glad he played for us
Amazing acceleration. What an athlete.
All I know is that Jason Robinson on Rugby 08 was unstoppable

A super gifted and talented individual. I’ve never seen anything like him.
Had a beer with him on a cruise in the Caribbean, what a gent. Was there anyone better???
According to stats Shane Williams.
@@markdavies9054Shane was excellent but remember that Jason had already played a full rugby league career where he was, IMO the best winger in the world, before starting his union career.
He doesn’t drink
You sure ? He’s famously teetotal !!
@@knikolas3145yeah he probably had a drink with some random guy who claimed to be JR 😅
Magic! What a man
Class act from a Springbok fan.
Robinsons ability to beat a man one on one was unique. Unbelievable talent.
Robinson, Shane Williams and Jonathan Davies. I could watch forever on repeat.
A super rugby player quick, intelligent amazing to watch ,
Jason Robinson and jonue alumo are the best I have ever seen. They are both at a different level

Thank you Jason Robinson for giving me great memories as an English rugby fan.Especially winning the Grand slam and the world cup

Am a League fan but i think you got the best of him in Union. I am glad he was able to test out both codes. Sensational player.

He was the man! Watched a vid compering who was the best - Shane Williams or JR - no contest really!
Excellent rugby league winger! … never saw him play the other game!
excellent rugby union winger (best england have ever had). never saw him play the other game
Thanks for a great video on a fantastic player. I think he is the best fullback since Serge Blanco.

That speed at 10.45 is insane. What a natural.
Easy to forget what a great player Greenwood was
Agree... under rated in the SH especially
Best player of all time? Certainly best English player IMO. Completely conquered both codes.
The phrase "He could go around someone in a phone box" was invented for JR. What an unbelievable player in both codes.
Outstanding, would be Great to add a few of his rugby league tries
How can this be an ULTIMATE tribute to his rugby prowess, whilst completely ignoring half of his rugby career?
No one is ignoring his rugby league career. This is a rugby union channel and that is the only footage we have, simple as that
I remember him well , I first watched him when he played for Wigan RL as a young lad . He soon developed into an awesome winger .
A fantastic player. If you're interested in scene 15.06 Kate & Wills are there for their first time out together in public.

Love how his RL career has been completely airbrushed out .
It was his extraordinary acceleration that was the difference. So different from that other late great David duckham
I remember when Doug Howlett use to run circles around Robinson
Rugby Union never saw the best of him. Why not show some of him in his prime at Wigan RLFC?
Because this is a Rugby Union channel
@@RealRugby That is a pretty poor excuse for not showcasing all the talents of this amazing player.

Heard he was good at chess as well. No footage of that 😂
