@@360_gangsterelite2 You are right about the founding fathers. They were smart enough to not have a complete democracy. Many keep calling the U.S a democracy, but the U.S is not a democracy. We are a Constitutional Republic. The founding fathers used and incorporated a lot of democratic notions into the Constitution, but the core of the Constitution is a Republic form of government. Democracy is where every citizen votes for everything in the country’s government, like laws, leaders, etc. The people have a direct impact on everything to do with their government. While a Republic has the people vote for a Representative to speak for them in the government. They do not have a direct control, but rather an indirect control of the government. Winston Churchill made the observation that democracy was the most inefficient type of governance. Nevertheless he continued, saying that democracy was still the fairest form of government.
Winston Churchill was a trash human being. When he was supplying the essentials that were needed by the locals in India to the sturdy Greek officials. When conscious stricken British officials write to him that people were dying because of the famine. He sheepishly wrote in the margins of the file that why hasn't Gandhi dies yet?
Many of the criticisms of Churchill are based on subjective reasoning and do not take accepted attitudes of the era into account. Churchill is accused of being a racist. What is ignored is the fact that racism was rife in the world during that era and even a person like Ghandi was guilty of it. Ghandi was known to have disliked South African blacks and is on record as having said that they were inferior to other races. Those who accuse Churchill of racism without simultaneously accusing Ghandi are therefore being hypocritical. Times obviously changed and it is not now tolerated but trying to judge and condemn people who lived in a different era under different circumstances is, in most instances, a futile exercise that achieves nothing. Famine in India was not caused by Churchill. It was caused by overpopulation versus the amount of available food and the availability of food is, and always has been, a factor of Mother Nature’s whims.

Democracy at its core has good values, but the system needs a lot of update. That is the main difference between Democracy and a Republic. Direct vs Indirect. The founding fathers even believed that a full democracy was corrupt, so they choose to incorporate democracy into our Constitutional Republic. As Benjamin Franklin said when asked what form of government they had made: “A republic, if you can keep it.” Kinda a pet peeve of mine, as a history major, when people call, or use the U.S. as an example of, a democracy when it isn’t.
@Hector Audelo Watch movie "Sardar Udham" Trailer and then movie if you want
@Hector Audelo you know it's not our first language

@@phist-3762 Uh huh, let's say the good ruler dies and his shitty successor takes over and the country goes to shit. The bad ruler won't open discussions on how to correctly govern the nation and not just make it a powderkeg. A democracy at least let's the people voice their opinions.
Democracy was born in Greece but the real meaning of the word doesnt exist today in the world. Sad but true.. Love from Greece. 🇬🇷❤️
tbf the original form of democracy was a literal lottery. do we want that?
I am from INDIA
The world's largest democracy
Actually it was founded by Cyrus the great 😊
@@amirmanipanjnoush3954 actually it was found on earth
Democracy was made by humans, after all. It doesnt have a place where it was born bruh
I remember in like 4th grade or something we elected someone for student council. The person who ended up winning only ended up winning because he promised everyone a pencil. (He was even one of the students that always caused trouble)
In elementary school when we voted 4H president, I had a friend who won because he promised pizza. He never delivered lol
Once in 5th grade the class elected a student who promised to give everyone chocolate If he won (he never gave the chocolate)
Hahaa Good old days
That's why kids are not allowed to vote
@@guilhermechaves8372 Once in 6th grade the class elected a trouble maker who promised everyone free time (we never got free time)
We Indians, have a pilot who knows how to fly a plane, is trying to get everyone in business class which would take time and who knows how to keep them safe from enemy planes....❤❤
Him: When i went to North Korea i almost cried.
Also him: I don’t understand democracy.

@@hungerquest7862 nope.. that's under a strategic move to undermine democracy and influence millions who follow Nas, bit by bit towards dictatorship.
You see in black and white
Or u didn't get the point
And non-democracy is like giving the pilot's seat to the guy with the biggest muscle/sword/gun.
Not all non-democratic systems are tyrannies
You’re only saying that because you are a democrat and all you care about is ruining republicans reputation.
@@time6665 eh? If it’s not a democracy there wouldn’t be republicans or democrats. Don’t make politics your life, cause that is a recipe for disaster

The real scary situation comes when both the pilots , don't know how to control a flight.
And you just discovered the truth behind the world of politics
Well, there are multi party countries, where a 3rd and 4th person can come along and out the other 2 in shade.
@@gandalfthegrey2777 in the Netherlands, we have like 40 parties, and around 5 or 6 get the majority of the votes and work together

Nas one year later: “This is why I’m scared of fascism.”

Bro explained my country democracy in a single short💀
This is why people from El salvador are smart. They voted for someone who said they would get rid of the biggest danger in El salvador, gangs. And that president did. His name is Nayib Bukele and he is still president
Exactly
And he also his getting rid of gangs.
His example is accurate. Filipino people, don't let money buy your votes. Money ends sooner or later but the services last longer. Choose wisely, we all deserve a leader who can be a good role model to everyone. Promises are meant to be broken.
