Hey Jamie. Great looking box set there. That's the style of book I prefer as well... lots of band photos, tickets and posters but with a lot of text and info as well. Funny, I also remember seeing them on Midnight Special. Enjoy it. Thanks. Cheers!

Great album. And Eric Bell's guitar work on those early Lizzy albums is terrific. Very different kind of tone with the strat as well. As I understand it, Eric didn't like touring and being around the public. In '74 Scott Gorham and Brian Robertson joined for the Night Life album. Gary Moore also played on the album. The "classic" lineup from their biggest years was Scott and Brian on guitar till Brian was fired after injuring his hand in a bar fight on the Bad Reputation tour when he was replaced by Gary Moore who would go on to play on the masterful Black Rose: A Rock Legend album in '79 and the tour as well. Gary's guitar work on Black Rose is absolutely monstrous. What a great player! Gary would go back to his solo career after the tour and be replaced by Snowy White for two albums, 1980s wonderful Chinatown and 1981's underappreciated Renegade. The last Lizzy album, Thunder and Lightning, would feature the incredible John Sykes, fresh from Tygers of Pan Tang, taking over for Snowy. This is an absolutely great album, and at times pure metal, very heavy, with amazing guitar work.
