Hi Justin, I just wanted to say that I love your videos! Your energy and enthusiasm are contagious and make me want to add some neat plants in my garden! Become a Plant Person! God bless you all✝️🌅🕊️🙏😇
I am BLOWN AWAY at your channel. What a Blessing you have been to your parents. And the fact that you understand the power of social media and video content mastery has catapulted your family's business! Congrats!! I want to move back to the South so I can get to growin'!!
Love your video as always! I drove out to meet you from Tennessee. I bought several plants including the bannanappeal illicium, which I love! It has bright foliage that brightens up a shady space. Thanks for the recommendation!
Two confirmed Plant People here, we love your videos. A little too far away to shop with you - we live about 30 minutes north of Raleigh. Our favorite aspect of your shows is how you let us know how a plant will grow here in North Carolina. We’ve had multiple answers to how big will a Sanders Blue Himalayan Cedar grow? The range at 10 years is 10-30’! Do you or anyone else out there have an idea how it will grow in NC? It will get about 4-7 hours of sun a day depending on the time of year.
You are so fun to watch. You have such great energy, a wonderful smile and your accent is awesome. Anyone who watches your channel knows that you love what you do.
Good morning Justine...Wonderful to meet you yesterday..Sept 10...the couple from Locust..came home and watched this video...LOVED IT..more choices..planning to see you soon..btw your energy is CONTAGIOUS...ITS A JOY TO WATCH YOU...Thank you for your help and recommendations..
Lovely video. What would you recommend for a whole new clean slate in a small triangle bed tapered to the front walkway where a crape myrtle tree is on the left edge of the house in the flower bed. I have a small planting job to do in a few weeks and would love your ideas
Justin you have made me a plant person. I recently tore everything out in my front yard and am about to start, bare bones, filling it in with all the great ideas you have given me. So so glad I found your videos not only for plant ideas but for the entertainment. You make me laugh out loud. 😂😂
Hi Justin. S&K plant selection is just amazing. Wished we had one local here in NY. I can’t grow loropetalums here in my zone 7. It’s too marginal & does not survive our cold winter.
Great video! I love the shrub combos! I am looking to replace our 20 year old over grown shrubs soon. I’ve gotten lots of ideas from you including the spacing! Yay! 🙌🏻
Justin, you are so fun with your presentations ! Makes us want to buy so many of the newer varieties. After so much loss in life, becoming "plant persons" 20 yrs.ago was just the tonic.🌞
Justin and Alex.........you guys exude JOY!!!! Appreciate your creative productions and design ideas, along with important facts about each specimen!!! 😃😄😅🤪👏🌳🌹
HI! Just stumbled across your channel and LOVE IT! I tried to take notes, but will have to watch it again. I plan to go back and watch some of the older videos. YAY!
You read my mind (or was that the algorithm?!)! I have been searching for the correct plants to line my walkway and fill the gaping holes between arbor vitae. Yay! Thank you so much!
I alternated hetz midget aborvitaes and sunshine ligustrums with blue star junipers in the front and I'm absolutely loving it. I would have never thought up the idea if not for this channel. I was already a plant person, but S&K made me a shrub person!
All the way up here in zone 3, minnesota, and I am seeing lots of great ideas that I can use. Thank you for always including the zone recommendation for each plant.
I have a 15 yr old Nandina. I tried chopping off an ugly 1/3 & it only grew back. I get the whole ‘Heavenly Bamboo’ thing now. I plan to Bonsai the heck out of it. Reminds me too much of the McD’s bushy character. 😂 Only found ya 2? yrs ago & enjoy your videos! I’m a bit of a chaos gardener, not by choice, & summer ‘23 got the Jazz Hands Lor. It did sort of ok in ground, but then began dying late Spring. I dug it up, cleaned off the roots & put it in water. I had intended on planting, but health issues turned into 1.5 wk in water before planting in a pot. It took 2 mos?, but it’s flourishing! It was in too much shade initially & too much black mulch in soil. Had it in pot in full sun & looked too dry. Moved to under a large butterfly bush tree & it loves the dappled shade.🙂
Love the Annaball Arbivitae. I want two to go in my front bed with my two Crimson fire Loropettulum with and a banana Anise or whatever its called to make the odd pattern
Justin, I LOVE your videos!! They are educational and fun. I live in the panhandle of Texas so not sure how many of those beautiful shrubs can handle our arid conditions but, I will be researching! Thanks again, you make me laugh and I really like that!! 😁
Hi Justin, love your videos! I did have a question about hill side selections that weren’t just the traditional creeping juniper. Any good choices that work well together or possibly a video in the future about the topic? Thanks!
I'm in Oklahoma zone 7b and my carisse loropetalum did not do well at all! It's like they burned up but I kept them watered and they were in part sun. Guess they just couldn't take our heat.
An advertisement ruin your “falling” I had to rewind it a bit. 😂 Thank you for sharing your knowledge and being so fun. Please keep uploading videos in winter.
Great video thank you so much! And may I add I've been "A Plant Person" all my life and I'm getting old lol, but your energy is so inspiring I want to go work in the garden now. Well I best wait until the morning....you know neighbors may wonder what's up Lol Lol JK!! The combos are truly amazing now a days. Keep up the good work. I hope to meet you someday!!!
Hey Justin, love your videos and love fire chief arborvitae, which we put a few in our landscape. It we are in zone 6b on the border 6a. Is there a lorapetlum that will survive in my area ? Or a comparable plant to go with my fire chief?
S&K Greenhouse, the pairing you're suggesting in this video, should I use those 2 shrubs throughout my garden only, or can I mix them with each suggested pairing throughout my garden?
Youre so much fun and i love your videos! Question: What is a pretty evergreen for 7a that you think is good in front of a large electric pedastal in the front yard? i plant things and end up transplanting them later. ughhhh im at a loss.
Thanks for the videos! I am reading that barberry is invasive, as in birds eat them and spread them around, is that true? I love the orange rocket barberry but if it spreads i wont plant them! In GA 8A
Just a little heads up for viewers I've had the soft touch holly and just like all holly is prone to leaf blight caused by a fungus. I love holly shrubs for creating a nice hedge but refuse to buy anymore due to this issue affecting all holly. I've been able to save some by cutting out all the blight immediately but have still lost a few.

I watch your videos just for entertainment purposes, you brighten my day!!! I love your energy and sense of humour. You are a true movie ⭐️ star.
Love these videos. Please do more. I need ideas to redo my front (16 feet wide, 8 feet deep) mostly part sun to full sun.

You’ve been missed! This video was great - I took pages of notes and will watch the video another time or two, I’m sure. So good!
Edit - looking now at the play list and you HAVE made recent videos. I have such a love/hate thing with UA-cam!
Awesome colors and style of shrubs
Love your channel. Hope to stop on my way home when I come up to visit my son in TN next spring.

HI! Just stumbled across your channel and LOVE IT! I tried to take notes, but will have to watch it again. I plan to go back and watch some of the older videos. YAY!
Welcome! Glad you found us! 🙏
Hi Justin. I’ve learned so much from your videos. I’ve truly become a plant person 🪴. Thank you!
Could i alternate fruit bushes/trees on a hill and evergreen shrubs to provide a landscape in winter and an orchard in summer?
Yes! That’s called FoodScaping
I’M planting low maintenance forest edge in zone 6b. I get part sun. Morning with afternoon shade. Thank you for the offerings.
You read my mind (or was that the algorithm?!)! I have been searching for the correct plants to line my walkway and fill the gaping holes between arbor vitae. Yay! Thank you so much!
Wow, this was great! Even though I live in the Northeast, I find your videos to be so helpful. Thanks!

Hi Justin, awesome shrubs combinations. Could you please talk about Robusta Juniper and Slender Hanoki? Thank you.

I wish loropetalum worked in zone 6b...I'd scoop up a cerise charm in an instant.
@@beardtastic9550 I know! It's a bummer. There are some Barberry out there that could give you a similar look.
@@skgreenhouse We just got a Orange Pillar barberry for an end piece and love it so far!
Justin were you the Class Clown in school? Anna’s Magic Ball is about the only Arborvitae that looks amazing in my hot, dry eastern NC zone 8 garden.
I'm in Oklahoma zone 7b and my carisse loropetalum did not do well at all! It's like they burned up but I kept them watered and they were in part sun. Guess they just couldn't take our heat.
Wouldn't have been the heat. We are in zone 8a here and they do great.

Could candy corn and pugster blue butterfly play well off each other?

Coming to S&K from Raleigh one day soon!
Bring Prime BBQ from Knightdale!
I 2nd that ! Whenever you come see us we accept food haha! But come see us! ❤-AL
Okaaayyy... a 3.5 hour drive from Raleigh not including standing in line at Prime BBQ Knightdale (in the opposite direction), but still doable!! 😂

You are such a clown! 😂 Thanks for sharing your plant combos. I love these videos.
At about 17 minutes, what’s the orange bush behind you?
Those are the Barberry Admiration :)
Where are you located? Thank you ! Fun!
Any thoughts on if my local greenhouses can’t get some of these shrubs?
@@criscristofferson7381 Hard to say, but maybe your local nursery could order them?
Find somewhere that ships
Have you seen or grown the El Niño Chitalpa. I ordered one on line. It's a large bush with orchid flowers. New from PW last year. Loving mine now

YOU ARE HILARIOUS
Que mas quisiera yo comprar esas plantas para mi jardin, las compraría todas, pero vivo muy lejos😊😢
Which ones are Native?
They definitely won't grow in February in Chicago. It's our most freezing month.
I’m not local. I need help 100 miles away. My yard is mostly a blank canvas!
Dang! Those are some super sexy shrub combos!!! I’m gonna need a bigger yard cuz I want them all. Can a landscape be too sexy? 🤭
I so wish that banana peel illicium was zone 6.
Which combination was your favorite?? 🤔
Pieris and flirt nandina looks terrific!
😍😍😍
