Should I buy the quest 2 in 2024? Ive became very interested in vr lately and I'm thinking about saving up for a mid range vr like the quest 2, could u tell me is it worth it and how does vr feel? New sub and thanks in advance!
Thank you :) . So the Quest 2 is on the lower end of the VR specturm. It depends on what you want out of it. If you plan on playing lower processed games, gorilla tag, vr chat, walkabout minigolf, anything thats slower paced or low poly, you'll have the same experience on the Quest 2 as you would with any other headset. However, if you plan on playing games where render distance and every frame matters, like FPS games, anything with sniping, etc. then youd want to go on the higher end like the quest 3. However all vr headsets can be improved by plugging them into a good computer to give you higher graphics and frame rate. It wont improve tracking though or pixel density. Long story short, if you plan on playing intense games, Quest 3, lower end, Quest 2, and any headset can be improved by using a PC connection for better visuals. You can't rally have a gorilla tag knock off, because the base of the game was made ages ago, before gorilla tag. Gorilla tag just managed to make it fun, it's just tag with a lot of movement.
Fun fact. if your into n64 horror games then the creator of polar dread (squeeks de corgeh) has mad a game on steam called shipwrecked 64. it looks cute untill you dive deeper and deeper to the game discovering the truth of what happened between the 2 studios
