- Today Fallout 4 just released a massive next-generation upgrade, complete with new quests, cosmetics, performance enhancements... and the return of the Enclave? And the best part is that it's completely free.

PC really got screwed with this new update. Just some free “paid” mods and janky Ultrawide support. Think community mods had this handled long ago.

A lot of the ways to light your houses inside your settlement is gone the candles are gone the lanterns gone almost all the lights are gone except for the light bulb the fan and the little porch light thing that's it I had way more lights than that
@@cbeaulac 1. In steam there is no option to not to update game. They remove it. 2. Part of mods will be created for new version. Part will be never updated. There is no good option

I'm not quite sure how this next gen update improves the PC version very much but it gives me the itch to hop back onto Fallout 4. Since all the mods are currently busted, I think I'll dive back in totally raw and see how that goes for a bit.
Done the same myself. Haven't played vanilla since I first got it on release for PS4. After playing hundreds of hours on pc with countless mods. It's a strangely refreshing experience not having to painstakingly manage all of my mods for once.
I am so sick girl power the new Fallout Amazon show it could have been so much better if it would have had a normal main character
The enclave still being around doesn’t bother me, I just wish they would do something new instead. I don’t want the enclave to be the main villains in fallout 5.
F4SE is the only real hangup for me. Any mods I use that do not require Fallout 4 Script Extender still work normally. Honestly the only mod I was sad to lose was the one that allows you to earn achievements while using mods.
1:31 it was never confirmed that the Enclave were destroyed because it’s implied that they have many bases scattered around the country and only were destroyed and one is questionable if it was restored by vault dwellers. The point is that they are still out there likely regrouping

That's kind of a classic Rpg thing: rulebooks and codexes usually keep exact numbers of exact faction strength unclear, so should game masters use them, they can do so easily.
For example, you see hundreds of nightkin and 1st gen super mutants as far as up in New vegas despite that the master and his mutant army was destroyed over 120 years ago. Just how many of them were has never been stated and probably never will.

If your on PC this is pointless. my 1200 mods fix or improve everything already, America Rising 2 already adds the enclave and has a proper ending selection for end game. its a full DLC.

It doesn't make any sense that the brotherhood has zero interest in their arrival. They have the best power armour in the game, plasma weaponry which even the BOS doesn't have and even vertibirds.
Pretty scummy of Bethesda to release Creation Club content for free long after everyone who wanted that content paid for it

Most people play Fallout 3 in the New Vegas engine with the Tale of Two Wastelands mod so the real numbers of Fallout 3 are way higher

There is no modding scene in Starfield cause it can't be fixed with mods.

tried the new update on xbox, it broke almost every community mod and cant load them anymore, the game crashes now if you try to use community mods and wont play at all
They officialized the Tesla cannon without a reload at all. Completely disappointed
this renewed [popularity is my fault, about eighteen months ago i started watching walkthroughs of "last of us" and of course it made a tv series, a couple of weeks ago i borrowed my son's steam account and started playing fallout 4, then they make the show.

Game is running extremely slow on XSX. Autosaving, for example, takes a loooooong time. I don't know what's going on but the game was running better yesterday.
As of today Starfield is still completely bugged. Some things are patched up but still not a finished game IMO. As of yesterday ships still disappearing sometimes while you are in them. Exit a ship and be stuck under the ship and frankly still too many bugs to list. Waiting for fallout Miami.

There are now giant diamond symbols and I have no idea why, I think this update destroyed my game and I just started playing fallout so I’m really bummed since I was getting so into it

my question is about if they fixed Items falling from tables and shelves in settlements for loading cells or map.
I saw that playstation finally fixed boston and 0 lb creation club glitch.
We can play with skins from those mods finally without fear.
Playing avidly for years just for the game to completely break because of this. Had to revert back to the previous version just to use mods. That was a hassle and now the game runs terribly. Thanks Bethesda, for forcing a new version update on your serious players just to get new players on board from the fallout show. 1 NEW QUEST AND SKINS YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR???? THANK YOUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This update didnt really add anything besides breaking mods
On console it's made the game 60fps which it alone is worthwhile

@@chasemathes931 It certainly was not. With a mod maybe on Series X, those mods did not work on Series S. Which doesn't even acknowledge that PS5 users never had the option to begin with
@@thatonetemplar ps5 didn't have 60 frames. I know because I have fallout on ps5. Fallout 4 had 60 frames for xbox series x before the update. I can't make this shit up.

Again, 60 frames was essentially Series X exclusive via modding. Having it available on all platforms with no mods required is worth it all on its own.
Did they fix the loading times? for chists-sakes, worst part of the game, especially downtown
I'm flying through loads on a new save. I got like 20 odd mods. Game feels great
this "MASSIVE UPDATE", it's just like few fixes, who already was fixed in mods and some free content from cc. But, buuuuuuut absolutely messed up with mods. Even simple text mods, without any dependencies got screwed up. Mostly because of mods f4 have those online all this years. Bethesda just keep shitting at it's head all over
Considering how CD Project and Bethesda both made the same type of "update", we should to make a note:
If a game gets a so-called "next-gen update" - it means that developers simply took a mod bundle (including patches made by modders, because why bother) and inserted it with a code-note "official", so it doesn't imply that its just mods.

OMG, FO4 is amazig in survival!!! just got the new 1870 Black Mark VII Enclave Armor in like 2nd quest of enclave....Just amazing!!!! just ruined my next step of geting the nuka cola armor in Nuka World.... Not even the blue armor after the 30 cores there was only 1750 armor i think....Now to continue the quest, with ADA, dual gattling laser assaultron head. This game is a dream came true!!! hope Starfield gets the survival mode, was a "game changer" for me.
Anybody dorky enough to cry about additional content needs to calm down lol. Bummed about the mods though.

I haven’t played the games before FO4, but considering how they’re based off of the surviving remnants of the United States government, I am insulted that they would be portrayed as evil. Hopefully they are portrayed more heroically going forward.

Pretty sad Fallout 4 is probably going to be the last good Bethesda game to be released. ESO and Fallout 76 killed this company and Starfield is just a prime example that they’re not capable of making magic anymore.

Mediocre update, on consoles (Xbox specifically), it breaks the mod page. Also it auto-installs the new creation club content and you can't remove it, you can't even refuse to install it.
On Xbox, in the mod page, it displays available storage as 0 B, when you install any mod, storage goes into the negatives. Attempting to view any pages on bigger mods, will result in a message saying the operation has failed, and it will kick you back to the main menu.
