Maybe I'm biased because I'm a Malaysian, but Malaysians are generally nice, not just towards foreigners, but even to each other. I can vouch for this when I do my grocery shopping, going to the hospitals, at the local government service centres and even the police are polite and helpful.
Are you sure you need to go to Kampung Baru for that? Are you sure people will think that the Nasi lemak there is the best they ever tasted? You can find Nasi lemak EVERYWHERE in KL.

Welcome to KL Malaysia bro. If you have more time, please do visit Putrajaya city (30 minutes from KL). It is the administrative capital of Malaysia. You'll love it's surrounding, parks, beautiful buildings, bridges, lake, mosque, food etc.
You should also try Jackfruit brother . It is call Cempedak. Unlike Jackfruit, Cempedak is best eaten as fried Cempedak. There are the two type of Jackfruit family (Nangka the one you have eaten in the video and Cempedak) that you can find in Malaysia.

Large areas of greenery with large tropical trees can be found at the Perdana Lake Gardens, Titiwangsa Lake Gardens and the Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve. The forest reserve is fairly close to the Petronas Twin Towers.

Well yeh it’s a bit more expensive rent, but very cheap public transport and it’s very good and easy to use it’s like about 20cents to go on metro trains. Foods is really cheap and it’s very very good and many choices of different cultures:))

You should go to penang or Ipoh, penang has a tower with glass bridges, and delicious foods. Ipoh has nice caves including the 400 year old “Batu Caves”

Well yeh it’s a bit more expensive rent, but very cheap public transport and it’s very good and easy to use it’s like about 20cents to go on metro trains. Foods is really cheap and it’s very very good and many choices of different cultures:))

You should go to penang or Ipoh, penang has a tower with glass bridges, and delicious foods. Ipoh has nice caves including the 400 year old “Batu Caves”

U should go to KL tower, and beneath there is a jungle within the city. Try to talk the canopy bridges there, it's a different experience!

Kuala Lumpur buatkan orang luar menyangka bahawa Malaysia sebuah negara yang maju padahal di bandar2 di negeri2 yang lain takdelah maju sangat pun kita boleh je nak majukan bandar2 besar kat seluruh Malaysia jadi macam Kuala Lumpur ni tapi jumlah penduduk negara kita ni sedikit jadi kalau bangunkan banyak sangat infrastruktur dan bangunan tinggi seluruh bandar di Malaysia buat rugi je betul tak paling kurang pun naik taraf je misalnya tempat penjalan kaki tu cantikkan kalau dah hancur2 simen dia tu jalan2 yg rosak ganti baru macam tu jelah yg penting rakyat kita sendiri dan pendatang asing yg kerja atau melancong kenalah jaga kebersihan kalau nampak sampah kutip dan buang ke tempat sepatutnya jangan harapkan Alam Flora je

go to Jalan Alor changkag Bukit Bintang especially at night, happening place for food . Dont forget to check out the Birds Park - its a beautiful open birds park amidst all the greens in the city
