Truthfully, I cannot say enough about this band and what they bring to real music lovers everywhere. We so desperately need bands of this calibre. The music of today has left me cold. Today's music is an arid desert of noise, smoke and booty. No talent required. Just a lot of smoke, fireworks and crowded stages. Thank you so very much Leonid! You are bringing real music back to life and I am so very grateful to you and all of your band members. Play on!!!!
This is obviously the world's greatest Chicago tribute band, and arguably the greatest tribute band on Earth. No matter how many times I watch these videos, I can't wrap my brain around how every nuance and micro Nuance is reproduced. The attention to detail makes my head spin
This band’s members are off the charts, phenomenal! Thank you to UA-cam for showing this group on my feed. I’m addicted to watching the videos. Much ❤️ from the USA 🇺🇸
Leonid, I'm amazed at what you've pulled off. I'm guessing we're about the same age. I spent my teens listening to Chicago, and now to hear a band bridge the gap between the east and the west by covering Chicago songs, man, it warms my heart. I especially like Jon Huntsman playing piano in one of your concerts. How cool. I was kind of envious of Mr. Huntsman.
Leonid....my goodness, what else is left to say! I have run out of words to describe how wonderful you and your friends sound, and how your music makes me feel! Keep em coming my friend and I hope I am fortunate enough to meet you and your friends when you come to the US to play your outstanding music. Thank you again Leonid...........!
cover band is seen as a derogatory label because most of them aren't very good. These guys take a classic song and play it faithfully, note for note, and get the tone right, not just the notes. They get the feel right. They get it all right. As a drummer I can't tell you how frustrated I get listening to cover band drummers just make up parts. This one - he played everything just right. Very impressed. It's like watching a symphony playing from charts that's how well they know this song in their heads.
Simply one of my favorite Chicago songs. It makes my eyes fill with tears everytime I hear it. I live in the past too much. This song just sweeps me back to a world gone away...one I do very much long for.
UA-cam sometimes helps me unite the present to my obsession with the past by introducing me to some seven-year-old TODAY who does an impeccable Neal Peart impression or the dad and his young kids who The Who praised for their recent cover of "The Seeker." There are enough youngsters who are keeping these kinds of classics alive today, but sometimes we have to spend much time looking.
My first intro was 25 or 6 to 4. Now I can't stop watching the whole series. Memories of the Chicago concert in Melbourne around 1972 ish. Fantastic guys. Just fantastic!!!
As a sax player from this era, who played almost all of Chicago's repertoire in rock bands, I most enjoy watching the string players. You can tell they really love being a part of the recording process.
Dear Friends, I have listened to many, MANY, bands perform nite for note covers of classic rock. Your group of musicians take it all to a whole new level of perfection. You are the most talented musicians I have ever had the pleasure of listening perform note perfect renditions of classic songs. Well Done!!! Please make your recordings available on iTunes!!
Consider this: when Leonid & Friends recorded this, it was a 42 year old song about the childhood memories of an American. Howdy Doody and drive-in movies---nothing that the then USSR had. It must have been a challenge for Serge T. to sing that so convincingly. He's simply an amazing vocalist.
I've seen/listened to countless tribute/cover bands of many artists for decades; I can say without ANY hesitation that this gang is by far the BEST I've ever encountered. From the vocals to the spot on instruments, it's as if Chicago covered THEM!!!! Truly brilliant..............MIC DROP
Music transcends all boundaries. Beautiful vibrations in the air speak all languages. Their smiles say it all. I love this group. Real music made from real vocal chords and real instruments.

Love the extended ending with horns. The sheer look of joy on the faces of these musicians is fun to see. They love what they do and do it well. Bravo!
Wow! Been a Chicago fan forever and I have to say that every song you do is remarkable. This one is simply amazing how close to the original it is. From the horns, right down to the splashes on the hi-hat during the second intro. Every one in the group is quite a perfectionist! Please come to the US and do an east coast tour.
I cannot tell you what this song means to me. We lost our brother April 8th 2021 to a brain aneurysm. His Celebration of Life was June 15th (because of COVID lockdowns). This song describes our live together... everything. It makes me cry, but it brings such treasured memories growing up in the 70's. He was an extraordinary brother and man. Memories. Days of magic still so close to me. Days of magic still so close to me...in my mind and in my heart to stay. Days of love and feeling fancy free. Well done Leonid and Friends. Very well done.
I've watched this over a dozen times and the respect that they treat this music with is awesome. At the same time the visuals add so much to the enjoyment and emotional response. Well done all.
I might be a little younger than you (I'm 37) but it takes me back to being a kid in a Cordova with my parents jamming to this and other great music. Life was slower paced and just....great.......just great. Can't really describe it unless you lived it.

I hope you make it back to the USA after this Covid threat is over. Hope the entire band is keeping safe and healthy until then and lets hope for good USA-Russia relations.
That is totallycorrect. USA (not US) and Russia. These guys represent the good of people.
That drummer OMG!
One of my favorites!
Leonid and Friend, along with production crew, This Cover is BEYOND FANTASTIC.!! All i can do is Ask God to Bless you all in your Musical Careers for Blessing all of us here on YT with your superb Talent. You all did not waste the musical gift God has Given you. A Big Fan from The United States
ProudBirther The group playing the violins. Even they did a superb job.
Igor Javad-Zade is amazing. He does not miss a beat if its Chicago, EWF or TOP, he is truly amazing.
I miss you Serge Tiagniryadno❤️You take care at all times!
Heard he’s recording his own music now ❤hope n pray it’s true🎉🎉
So happy for him then, he’s got vocal talent and i miss him with Leonid and friends‼️
My new favorite band, since I am a drummer he is my new favorite! Awesome!!!
Huntsman.
PHENOMENAL this band amazes me
Leonid....my goodness, what else is left to say!
Spot on Robert.
Robert, you nailed it.
When those strings came in Goosebumps went up my arms... that's when you know the music is great... thank you so much...
Favorite part hearing and seeing the strings and I'm a guitarist. Seeing the faces of them as they play and when it's over.
Bruh I grew up with Chicago and these guys are a time machine literally taking me back🎉😊
Yep so did I ❤❤I’ve seen both and they’re incredible
THESE guys don't f**k around! Every note, every Nuance, every subtlety! This is the best cover band of ANY band I've ever seen!
Watching the musicians is as entertaining as listening to the music, they all have joy beaming from their faces.
Exactly!
Another Chicago classic that this band has made even better!😀
That horn section is tight as fuck!
Hey John, I'm glad I'm not the only one!
Leonid and Friends... "Doing Chicago better than Chicago does Chicago.".
Excellent! This was our class of '75 high school song
My first intro was 25 or 6 to 4. Now I can't stop watching the whole series. Memories of the Chicago concert in Melbourne around 1972 ish. Fantastic guys. Just fantastic!!!
This band makes me happy every day. I watch 2 of their videos and I feel good about the world again.
The violins made this version special; these guys blew it out!👏✌️
As a sax player from this era, who played almost all of Chicago's repertoire in rock bands, I most enjoy watching the string players. You can tell they really love being a part of the recording process.
I'm sure that for the string players, it was a pleasant break from playing 200 performances of the Nutscratcher. :-)
The musicianship, voices, sheer enjoyment of the performance! Made my day!
Never underestimate the power of positive music! Thank you all so much for again a job well done!
当時ファンクラブに入ってました。色々込み上げるものがあって涙止まりません。素晴らしい演奏ありがとうございます。
Consider this: when Leonid & Friends recorded this, it was a 42 year old song about the childhood memories of an American. Howdy Doody and drive-in movies---nothing that the then USSR had. It must have been a challenge for Serge T. to sing that so convincingly. He's simply an amazing vocalist.
Perceptive point. They do perform this with conviction. I am sure they could relate to the mood of nostalgia all the same.
Until the finish I thought I was listening to the original studio cut. I'd pay to see it live!
The love and passion shows in this performance along with all the others on youtube
UNBELIEVABLE!! Complete with the string section! You guys ARE INDEED Chicago!!
OUTSTANDING! What a fantastic cover. Everyone involved was PERFECT!
See you in Royal Oak in September 2024! Can't wait!
Cool.. Not trying to one up you but I lucked out this year when it comes to Chicago..
Chicago - Sep 29, 2024 - 7:00 PM Tom Moffatt Waikiki Shell
Leonid & Friends: The Greatest Chicago Tribute - November 29, 2024 (two shows) Blue Note Waikiki
To be totally honest. I don't know any words that can accurately describe how good this was.. Closest I can get is
*PERFECTION".🤔
How amazing is it that some Americans can create this... we can love it SO MUCH... it can transcend an ocean to where another country and culture can fall in love with it enough to MASTER it and send it back to us... and we love it all over again !?
You guys ARE one of the greatest bands in the world!!!!
You ROCK Thank You!!
My boy's birthday. Good day. He is loved.
Sorry for your loss. I lost 3 of my brothers and only the oldest had a funeral due to the quarantine.
Old days….memories, may we make more of them!!
I've watched this over a dozen times and the respect that they treat this music with is awesome. At the same time the visuals add so much to the enjoyment and emotional response. Well done all.
Best drummer on UA-cam!!!
Not fucking doubt, but honestly Sergey is off the charts. I mean how to you channel Terry Kath?
Fuck you guys are the best thing ive ever seen on youtube. Period!!!
Igor is an animal. He was honored by the original Chicago drummer stopping by the LA show and doing one.
@@howardclegg6497 Danny Cerephine!!! dont know if I spelled it right He was one of my inspirations to play drums!!!
@@stevengray8663 Terry Kath was the original guitarist. I believe you mean Danny Seraphine
I am immediately time-warped back to a simpler time - a better time - although it's not all bad now - You guys NAILED THIS!
Man, I just said that before I read your post, LOL. Me too
Me too... To bad people like Hillary and the libtards want to take this all away...
MAGA .... Bring back the old days...
Seriously we need to make this political? Can't you just enjoy some amazing music and leave it at that?
Komrad, your are an f 'ing idiot
I might be a little younger than you (I'm 37) but it takes me back to being a kid in a Cordova with my parents jamming to this and other great music. Life was slower paced and just....great.......just great. Can't really describe it unless you lived it.
This gives me chills. I love Chicago’s music. The whole group. These guys blow my mind
Serge is a phenomenal vocalist--my favorite in this great band. And, my gosh, you even hired a string ensemble for this one! You guys are too much! Best Chicago tribute band of all time, easily. WOW!
Now that Chicago has become a cover band on top of cover bands: This talented artists should be given the name Chicago. From this moment on I’m hooked. Amazing
There is only one Chicago
Larry Digangi agree but now a cover band that doesn’t rock it like these guys
This band is dynamite!! Incredible music!
I miss this old line up.
We got to meet them all after the concert at their first LA show on their first US visit.
You guys take me back to high school hearing this when it first came out but to do my old school!!!! I’m speechless love the energy in the band
