I think the shape is handsome. The grain figure and color are outstanding. Considering what you started with, I think you did a very fine job on this piece. The irregular shape rim adds character to the piece and shows what natural wood looks like. I like it.

Thanks for the kind words! I wasn’t a fan of the shape at first but I changed my mind. It looks like a rustic piece you’d see as a centerpiece

I wipe the piece with a microfiber towel after the Yorkshire grit and before putting a finish on it
