I just restarted. I rejoined a few days before the updates and I’m very impressed with the recipe section and expanded zero point list. Maybe try it for a month and see?
I love all the changes. One of the biggest issues people have about WW is that it's too low calorie to be sustainable. WW really responded well here on the science we're learning about macros of the importance of protein, fiber, and fats. This will make WW more sustainable. Very excited!

I am excited they are adding back things. I lost 40 pounds in 2010 and the changes over the last 15 years made the program so restrictive. This feels more doable than it has in years.
I just finished my first week of WW and have lost about 4lbs! I dropped the full sugar soda and I think that’s made the difference the most. Tracking a full sugar soda on my first day made me decide to kick the habit. I’m motivated to keep going.
I’m really happy and excited with the changes!!! Especially the LEAN MEATS! I can never find 99% ground chicken and the ground turkey is more expensive as well! I also love that 93/7 ground beef is zero points because it’s my favorite! & where I live a pound of 96/4 is almost $8 a pound! 93/7 also just tastes better and less dry! Can’t wait to see your content with the changes going forward! ❤

To figure out the calories from macros is really easy… carbs have 4 cal per gram, protein has 4 cal per gram and fat has 9 cal per gram. so if you ate 100 g of protein that’s 400 cal. if you ate 100 g of carbs that’s 400 cal. if you ate 30 g of fat that’s 270 cal. so you just add those sums together so 400+400+270 and that gives you the total of calories you’ve eaten for the day without having to track in a completely different app

Bought sweet potatoes yesterday, I find them to be very filling and has good nutrient values including a high amount of fiber. Having the macro counts on app is very helpful to guide my choices (fiber is just as important as protein!!). The zero point food changes make it easier on the budget too!
I’m excited about the new changes. The one big change that you didn’t mention is the ability to take a picture of your meal & WW will calculate the points. I like that option.
She talks about it at the very end and gives a fantastic application-taking a picture of your food when out to dinner so you don’t have to sit there on your phone ar a restaurant

I love these changes! I am most happy about the extra lean ground beef. That saves me 4 points for 4 oz. and I eat it all the time - burgers, spaghetti, tacos, etc. Very exciting!

I am glad you make these videos, it encouraged me to go back to WW. I just realized they changed there name back to weight watchers. My son will be glad to have beef back, if I even mention going back I will hear an earful of turkey everything and he hates turkey. I think he liked most other meals I make on it.
Making beef a zero point food is blowing my mind. We eat so much chicken and fish in our house and I know my kids get bored of it sometimes-they are going to be so excited. London broil, here we come!
Very exciting! I loved the purple plan and this is somewhat a cross between blue and purple. Note that I had to update many of my recipes manually by clicking king on edit then hitting save again which then recalculated them to the new plan
Sooooooo excited about the new beef options. I’m personally getting super tired of finding new and creative ways to make chicken and turkey to keep me interested. I missed beef (being surrounded by cattle ranchers) sooooo much. I’m happy I can start using it some again without spending my points.

I was really suprised when I received their email. I liked some of the changes, especially the addition of macros and the ability to snap a pic of your food to estimate points. I was also deliriously happy that they added more lean meats as zero point foods. I have been trying to lift weights, but I was about to drop WW because I was so hungry for protein all of the time. The zero point protein options were really bland, and I love beef and lamb so much. I think I'm going to get a lot of use out of the lean protein option.

That is true. It used to be more about processed foods. When I did WW maybe 15 years ago I lost weight but I ate a lot of frozen meals and 100 calorie snack packs. I remember when they first changed to points plus and introduced the 0 point foods.
I Think I'm going to love the new food list. Now I can use more of the healthy fats in cooking & use a full amount of the cheeses. Will save money on my meat budget.
the diabetes part is still the same, unless I skip the diabetes part and do the regular for weight loss, I have to see. Thank you Nikki for the information, I'm definitely going to look into it but it's so expansive.

I’m new to WW. I’m trying to understand why oatmeal is zero and oatbran isn’t? Oatbran is better for cholesterol and has same nutritional info….
