Im here after one year and a half of driving this car, i can tell you 100% with confidence this car has saved me from more than 5 possible crashes, to the point i thought the car just halted and stopped while i was catching my breath each time.
@@derbigpr500 I live in South Korea and I did drive GV 70 and x3 20i. Exterior and interior of GV70 is way better than X320i. And powertrain of GV70 is on the next level compare to x3 20i, definitely.
Owned them all. Just switched from Q5 to this and I wouldn't go back. Bmw does have a slightly quieter cabin otherwise everything else is very comparable and it's left down to styling.

I might be wrong but in the early 2010s I think there was a Chevy Cruze ad with them demonstrating the safety and they talked about a central airbag but it was so long ago I might be totally wrong lol

Think they should adjust the weight when testing bigger cars in order to test the car's real structural integrity.
@@GT-gp2nb in a way though that wouldn't be a fair test, having different weights for different cars. In addition, it's only a couple of the tests - for the full frontal test, pole test, rollover tests etc. weight of the vehicle the car is impacting isn't a factor.
@@blazeclarke That’s true, or perhaps they should just use a heavier average SUV weight on all the cars. Especially with more heavier SUV and EV’s on the road nowadays. People who don’t know might think a 5 star rated small car is just as safe as a 5 star rated big car. But the smart car is a good example. Got a 5 star safety rating but totally failed when collided with a heavier SUV. I understand this is a hard one especially when smaller cars usually come at a lower price point. Perhaps mandatory safety tech like AEB might help.

They actually recently adjusted the tests too, so they do a side impact test that hits the car much higher up, much like a collision with an SUV would be in reality. Quite interesting how the scores were affected across the board, for both small hatchbacks and big SUV's
Genesis is quickly becoming the next Volvo with safety. Their crash test just keep getting better and better.

Think NCAP should use a heavier dummy car to be fair. Momentum is mass dependant.
The dummy cars are based on average weight of current road vehicles I believe
