I sprayed sulfentrazone here. Not sure what species of nutsedge I have. Most plants got dinged but didn't die. So I'm digging out the larger plants. I know people always say digging nutsedge is a bad idea, but that was not my experience. Spray + dig out worked great in the backyard. Love the dark blue walls!
Great video. Just one question. After this application how many days after the application would you say is it safe to spread fertilizer (Morganite) to my lawn-Subscriber
hahahaha I read Sledgehammer and I honestly thought you were going to take the weed out with a sledgehammer, thought THIS I have to see! 😂 Thankfully we don't have issues with nutsedge in Sweden, it doesn't survive our winters, so we don't have it at all. Awesome video mate!
I used Sledgehammer and it rained the following day. This was like 4 days ago. Ill wait a few more days and spray again, but man its all over my yard now.
Great video Man ! Quick question.. do you know how long any excess mixed formula can last before going bad? I.e.if you make too much, can it then be stored in a liquid state ?
That is a great question. I would think it would be good for a while as long as you make sure you remix it before use, but I would check with DoMyOwn.com. They should know for sure. And Thanks for watching!
I sprayed some nutsedge about a week ago, it has turned yellow, but some of it hasn't died back yet. Do you have to repeat the Sledgehammer application a second time? Thanks, John.
Can Sedgehammer be used as a pre-emergent? No surfactant and water it into the soil after spraying? If not, is there a pre-emergent outbthere for sedge? I put down crabgrass preventer in the early spring and the sedge always seems to pop up at some point here in PA.
@@TheLawnSharkI already did..They suggested for me to do a jar test before mixing and that as long there is no chemical reaction I would be fine...in other words "find out by yourself" 😐...I kept looking around and luckily I found a video were these 2 products were mixed together 😅...thank you for replying 🙏🙋♀️
@@lakemarine484 Here's the update......it actually stopped the nutsedge but it killed a little of my lawn. Now the nutsedge is still growing back in, it's like it just doesn't want to stop.
@TheLawnShark just pointing out how that on every single lawn care channel, you guys are literally doing the same thing. Even the same content. Connor ward Army!!!!!
@@fabrones49 I'm just taking care of my lawn, videoing, and sharing it. If I didn't have a nutsedge problem, then I wouldn't have done a video about it. As for laying in my lawn, it's just a good angle to show the problem. Also, I love Connor Ward and his content, but I haven't seen a new video from him in months, much less a nutsedge video, so I am not exactly sure how my content is the same as his. Ultimately, you have a choice on which videos you watch and comment on, thanks for taking the time to comment on mine. Have a blessed week.

I would say immediately. But maybe the next day? It won't affect the product's effectiveness.
Thanks for the information.
You bet! Anytime!

Ha! Maybe a sledgehammer to my back lawn... Thanks mate! Cheers!
Is it safe to use this like you did, all over the yard, if I have St Augustine grass? I live in south Louisiana.
I am not sure about St. Augustine. I would look-up the label and check to make sure.

If it was a day later you should be ok. I would give it a week.

After you speak and it changes color do you just leave the weed or pull it?
I just leave it. It pretty much disappears.
Can the Blue Marker Dye be added to this...?
You can add blue marker dye to anything if it helps you.

I have never had to before. I would give it another week and see what happens.
Good content. 👍
Thank you 👍

Honestly, that is a great question. I don't know. If I find out, I will get back with you.
Can you mix 2 herbicides in 1 application❓ Celcius WG and Sedgehammer. I got lespedeza and nutsedge and they require different herbicides...
Honestly I have never tried and not sure. I would imagine it would be ok, but maybe reach out the domyown.com and see what they suggest.

@@sangueguerriero9538 I am glad you were able to find out. Thanks for the info.
Just sprayed sedgehammer the other day, now let's see what happens.
Give it a week and it will be gone!
Well..... what happened?
@@lakemarine484 It worked. Nutsedge was gone.

@@fabrones49 As far as UA-cam is concerned, there is no such thing as a bad comment, so troll away! 😜👊 I appreciate it!
