    Changing those corked up OEM exhausts over to a good aftermarket exhaust almost always gives your bike a little more power! This sounds great and it looks like a lot of fun to drive! Thanks for sharing.

      I absolutely agree with you! It is absolutely a blast to ride. Sometimes I’ll be riding a different bike and I’m thinking I need to get home and get back on the Kpm. 😂

    I appreciate your videos for this bike. There aren’t a lot of videos for it and I still think it occupies a rare spot in the market now that the Japanese long ago moved to 300s and larger for their “full size” standard bikes.

      Thank you, I think you’re right these bikes occupy a niche that Japan has since moved on. The price point to quality on these bikes are hard to beat. Thanks for the comment

    Yep, I don’t think people are realize how long it takes to shoot edit and if you get really into it, the music and graphic to make a good 10 minute video

      True, with me being an amateur, just doing what I do takes long enough if I had to add music and make it more pleasant to view, I would be forever. Ha Ha : )

      That’s iced tea, but yeah some of the roads are pretty good around here depending on where you ride. The Kpm suspension seems a little softer compared to the KPR which I like. The new exhaust is awesome, love sound and performance both

    The more miles I put on my KPM the faster it gets.

      Yeah, it usually takes a little time to break in and loosen up

    Great video thanks again for making it, on your front sprocket they already come stock with a 16 tooth I made that mistake because I thought they were 15 stock so you’ll probably have to get a 17 tooth instead I’ve got one on mine and I like it it kind of stretches out First gear a little bit more makes it more usable for me anyways and I never get out of fifth gear and I’m running usually 5560 miles an hour and fifth gear

      Thank you, yeah I found out about the 16t front sprocket, thanks. I'm happy with the gearing right now and probably won't change it, I might in the future though. Thanks for the feedback

  • @ktmracer3587
    @ktmracer3587 2 місяці тому +2

    I might be wrong but the stock gearing is with a 16t front sprocket. If you want to go +1 in the front I’m thinking it was a 17t sprocket.

    • @herbiesgarage681
      @herbiesgarage681  2 місяці тому

      Thanks, I never even checked, I just assumed it was the same as the KPR, I’ll have to check that, thanks for the heads up my friend 👍🏻

      @@herbiesgarage681 I also believe the count on the back is different from the kpr as well. The sprocket on the kpm has a bit of a dome to it instead of being flat like the others.

    • @herbiesgarage681
      @herbiesgarage681  2 місяці тому

      @@ktmracer3587 okay, I just checked it out, the KPR has a 15t front 46t rear and the Kpm has a 16t front 49t rear so the gearing is similar between the 2 bikes. You’re correct with the Kpm having a dish shaped rear sprocket and the KPR being flat. Thank you for your feedback, so in order to have the same gearing as my KPR I will have to go to a 17t front, I think I’m going to leave it as is for now. Thanks

      @@herbiesgarage681 I ended up going with the 17 on the front I preferred it to the shorter gearing. First just seemed to short to me so I liked the change with the 17t.
