Music volume was just right, I hate it when the voice volume is low and music volume high...it wakes my wife and I watch videos at night, it was actually nice for a change.
I’m worried about behind the dashboard, carpets, plastic paneling and other remote areas you can’t see. Even you’ll need some undercoating also like por 15
That valve cover needs to be anodized blue that would look sic asf and inside should the engine bay should be rhino lined or black and all fasteners be blue ALL FASTENERS
Really wish you didn't put the engine in yet. You're gonna have a hell of a time installing the turbos. As for the fitting for the catch can, from the right PCV valve it runs out into the intake recirc rubber hose. Most people basically cap off the right PCV valve to the intake and cap off the hose running off near the intake plenum that goes to the left PCV fitting. On my car I'm running a Cusco catch can but, you'll need to purchase a extra hose since the setup out of the box expects you to vent the positive crank case pressure. Is a oil catch can really need? Not really. I have yet to dump any blow by out of the catch can and this is coming from a BNR32.
This isn't a permanent engine placement. I needed it in so we could get measurements for the exhaust manifold clearance. There are a lot of manifolds that won't fit with the AC unit still in. But I needed the measurements to make sure before I spend a lot of money on something that doesn't fit. I also need to get the intercooler installed and have the piping fabbed and need the engine in so I can figure out where we are placing the oil relocation kit. It's a lot of back and forth at this point of the build sadly. Nothing is ever easy with a GTR it seems.
I like this channel cause I can relate to him I'm not rich just a normal guy that work hard to get what he wants pretty much this guy turn something some ppl would have given up on he made something of it
@@DBuilds On the positive side... You will have lots of brand new quality parts that wouldn't have been there otherwise. You probably learnt a ton doing this. It will feel extra extra good when its finally done, and you got to make some very cool and helpful youtube videos as well!
Non car guy: wants an unmolested gtr .... immediately rice burners it up. And doesn't realize the reason the bumper is cut was to straighten it back easier after the fender bender it was in.
Is it Dee or D? For the valve covers you can take a good set of pliers and pull off those hose inserts. There pressed in so you’re gonna have to turn them back and forth while pulling up. Then you can get some radium press in AN fittings. But, before you do all that. I believe the RB26 has an oil recirculation issue. Where there’s kits out there that take oil from the back of the head or valve covers and recirculate it to the block. Research that to verify what you would need to do.
D. Awesome dude! I had no idea they were pressed in. Yup guess I'm gonna need to look into that. I would def prefer it being recirculated back into the block. I know these engines do have some oiling issues.
Those fittings in your rocker covers, just use big grips and twist them back and forth and pull them out while you twist. Dont cut them or you'll have a PITA time trying to pull them out.....theyre literally pressed in like you said. Typically press in fittings for the RB26 are 12AN For the block you really should have considered installing a head drain before putting the engine back in. Because you can't access the rear to do it once the engine is back in. Oil drainage is one of the biggest issues with the RB's. For your NRG steering hub, have a look at my video: ua-cam.com/video/NIsvznwxFFM/v-deo.html
I would save and spend the money necessary for the good quality parts & labor. Parts for this car is hard 5o get but try reaching out to the following people they can source stuff for you. CB Media he is on UA-cam knows alot of people in JDM world that could help you he is in Asia. Also YourCarBro on youtuber he in the states but works for Japanese dealer good guy.
Japan partner. Which in fact is how my channel started since the car was in so bad of shape when I got it. I do not recommend buying from them at all. They are absolute scammers.
That plastic is a stash for a piece!!!! You never know!!😎👍
Can't wait for new episodes, favourite build at the moment. Such a gorgeous car.
I appreciate it. Cant wait for it to get done. Its gonna rip.
You should consider getting AN fittings welded into the valve covers as the push in fittings can blow out.
Have watch some of your videos. And nice to see its getting near finish :)
Rocker cover oil breather fittings are just press fitted in.
Pair of pliers removes them easily.
Don't forget to get a front strut tower connector. It removes unequal body flex in your steering..
12:00 that plastic piece is an acoustic damper that's originally connected to the factory airbox

Don't give up your in to deep. Kenny
You have to strip the whole care down to bare metal inside and out. Then rust treat it and repaint the whole shell or the car will rust to death.

Your closed intake - you can open it - I have a BNR34 one and it's open, I don't know why they were closed...
Nice thanks bro. Gonna open it up then. Seems pointless closed.
Non car guy: wants an unmolested gtr

That’s probably an intake silencer, just to make the intake noise quieter
Nice thanks man! Im def gonna open it up then. Some how. Dremmel time!
Those rims are pretty boss.

I think going with a silver, black rims, black seats would look better. I'm not a fan of blue seats.
At least your gunna know what you have 🤷♂️

Did you save a lot of money doing the engine yourself instead of simply dropping the car off at a shop ?
What web site did you buy the GTR off

I think black rims > bronze
