@@PhilipOII247 actually getting out of the shop pretty soon. Expect a long breakdown video of what happened from just a couple weeks to it's been over a year.
She's coming together! And in a much better state than an import would ever be. It's been a long road, but I think the end product will be worth it for you man!
I've enjoyed watching this from the first few videos (which were indeed unfortunate). But seeing you tackle it head on and making it your own at this point is awesome, I've got an R33 and am in Houston too so hopefully we can cruise at some point!
Currently in a similar situation, have always wanted an Evo 4, 5 or 6. I recently ordered an Evo IV online, different site however. Checked the VIN report and inspection report, it all looked good, but who knows. I am crossing my fingers and hoping for the best until October when it comes. The site I got it from offered a full 360 view and any picture I requested so it seems OK. Luckily it was not crazy expensive and I know how to work on cars. Also, the Evo IV engine fits most Evo 8 parts so fixing it will be relatively easy. Good luck on the build and I will be keeping and eye out for updates. Can give you one too on my experience with my site.
can’t wait for the update and to see this car all done , truly inspiring the way you have just stayed positive alongside overcoming and looking past all the bad things that has happened . gonna be a long couple weeks , but will all be worth it in the end. Great job man🤟🏾

Right now I’m sitting in my garage staring at an old Toyota pickup, that’s been sitting for years, and I need to get to fixing it up to sell. We all get those blocks. I’m sure someone has told you but just in case you don’t know I just watch the video about your first Gtr when you buy a car from Japan in Japan once a car reaches 100,000 km they can basically no longer drive them that’s why if you import a car from Japan they almost all have much less than 100,000 km on them so if you buy another one don’t let that low mileage be any sort of sign as to how well it has been taken care of it’s just the way things are over there in fact if it wasn’t for the United States and canada importing them most of them would get crushed at 100,000 km but because of Canada we have a 10 year rule and the United States a lot of those cars now get bought two years after they are new with what they consider high mileage at 80 to 90,000 km and are thrown in storage for 8 to 20 years until someone in the United States or Canada pays a ridiculous sum for them compared to what they are worth in Japan and that’s why you might end up with a car that hasn’t been started in upwards of 20 years and has all the problems associated with that I bought a 93 Evo in 2010 and I got very lucky very very lucky because the shop I bought it from specialized in skylines and right after I bought my Evo they got shut down because of their questionable practises and piece of shit cars they sold between 2008 and 2010 skylines we’re on the road in my hometown like 5 L mustangs were on the road in the 80s they were everywhere by 2012 they were all gone because they bought cars that had been stored way too long and did the bare minimum to get them running and within a couple of months unbelievable problems arose and sadly most of the people that bought them were teenage kids who couldn’t afford to maintain them
Man i saw that this was an r33 build very fresh not even done i immediately subscribed Its sad to see how shitty you got the car but hey you’re making progress!
Network Engineer main job. Day trader for extra money. Run a small side business building PCs for people when parts were available. And I resell investment toys. UA-cam I've made like $47 since I started this channel so not exactly something to look at as a monetary gain. I just do it for fun.
Those are going away when the blue ones get here. But visual stuff comes last. I have some parts on order to replace some visual pieces but they will have to wait until we're back running.
My friend was going to buy a GTR through Japan partner, very VERY low mileage and bone stock, but after hearing multiple stories (including yours) of bad experiences basically proving that you can't trust what the "broker" says, he decided to buy one with a completely rebuild engine right here in the US and will test drive it beforehand. I think many people need to grasp the risk of buying sight unseen.
For how much money he just spent to get it and how much money you spent to fix it and how much money you get the parts but do you think he can drive it someone's going to get a great deal
Would love to link up seeing you are here in Houston. Would be nice to check out another BCNR33 in town. I also have something would like to give you for your car. I know you have been through a lot.
Hey man I watched your first vid on how u got scammed sorry to hear all about that, do u still have one of those old gtr pistons that are trashed I’d love to have one in my garage. Hope you write back
It's coming together nicely, bud. Ditch the Ted Cancun-Cruz look, and your followings should explode! Haha Jk! Look forward to seeing this beast in the streets of Houston!
Hey dude, I just found your channel yesterday, and I just want to give you a little constructive criticism since you are starting your channel, and it seems to be growing well. It’s nice to get updates on the car and stuff, but I really think you need to film more of the actual installation of the parts, I don’t mean this in a mean way, but I don’t think people are here to watch you talk about what you’ve done in a car while you drive. We want to see the nitty-gritty. I could be wrong here, but I do believe, that I’m speaking for the majority when I say this. you have a very awesome build going on, we are all very interested in seeing the progress, not just you talking about the progress. I have a UA-cam channel myself, I know it’s difficult and, even kind of annoying to try and film, and work on a car at the same time, so I get it, but that’s just part of the job. Again I’m not trying to be a dick, I just want to see you succeed and offer some constructive criticism. Love the content, love the car, you’re a good dude, looking forward to more videos.
Yeah I get it. Right now I'm in a pretty shitty situation. We sold out old home where I was filming me work on the car. And now we're staying at my parents while the home is built. So I maybe have an hour a day to work on it or not at all. And the setup of the equipment takes too much time. Or I'm spending hours trying to figure out how things are gonna go. But once we get into the new house I'll have more room and time to show work being done on the car.
Makes me glad I got my lp2 33 from Aus. I could look at it and drive it first. That’s the shit thing about your 25 year rule. You only get the left overs
just curious what do you do to afford all this? I may answer my own question after I watch more of your videos, this is only the second one I've seen. Keep it up man! I aspire to be like you! I'm doing everything I can to be in a position in life where I can do fun things like this but I'm already 29 years old and just realized the power of investing lol. My portfolio consists of $200 right now, but everyone starts somewhere :D I'd love to know more about how you made things happen in life. I have been doing tech support for 6 years for a large company I'm not allowed to disclose publicly, and I recently got promoted to be a supervisor over a team of 20 people. It's a start but I work a lot more hours than I get paid for currently lol. I just hope the hard work and dedication will pay off in my job and allow me to increase my investments. This is awesome I can't wait to see what you do with this car!
Dang story sucks but I know it's late and all I wish I could have told you but I live in Japan and I was lucky enough to get a r34 skyline but at a stupid high price. I did make a mechanic friend that has helped me with the r34 but he says that nowadays you can't really find a any kind of r32 to r34 without it having a bunch of fter market parts. And if it is clean it's at stupid amounts of money. Also japanese car auction houses are very deceptive even official ones. People can buy off the guy in charge of rating the cars to give them a decent rating so it has better odds of selling. Finally I'm assuming this happened to you but auction houses here are notorious for slapping cars together taking really nice pictures that don't show any of the bad shit in them and trick unassuming people into buying them just to get the cars out of there. Hopefully it goes well for you and the r33
You will not be able to eat soon as your face will be to soar from the smile you will soon have LOL. It really stinks what you went through, but at least it will soon be over and she already looks Incredible. Did have to smerk a little as you talked about all the Nissans and walked past the Infiniti's. Not sure if you know the Gs and the Q50/60 are part of the Skyline family. www.motorauthority.com/news/1088377_q50-to-be-sold-in-japan-as-infiniti-badged-nissan-skyline the 3.0VRDDTT in the Qs is a newer smaller version of the VR3.8 in the R35. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_VR_engine. Have a band new Q50 AWD ILINE Red Sport 400 I just picked up. Second RS love them, anyway looking forward to seeing that smile in your next video!
Hey brother, your scammed video popped up on my recommended! Did you ever pursue a law suit with Japan Partner? Skimmed through 3-4 of your videos but haven't seen/heard much. I imported 3 of my JDM cars from Japan Partner between 2013 and 2017 without any serious issues, at least nothing quite as serious as yours! Sorry you got scammed things must have gone down over the years there...
Nah I talked to a couple of lawyers and the cost of international lawsuits are so high that it wouldn't even be worth it. So I said screw it and just went head first into a complete rebuild. It's a set back for sure. But it is what it is at this point.
@@DBuilds Scary to know there is no real recourse on something like this! Good luck with the build, will keep an eye on it.. Recently picked up an abandoned 33 rolling chassis so may get some inspiration from you.. Cheers!
Hey, bro... I live in your city. I feel bad and as a member of the car community and knowing how getting your dream car and going through your stuff in sorry. Reach out to me and my company will want to do a detail and ceramic coating on your car. Let me know if it's something you would be interested in.
Can't do anything about it. Every international lawyer told me it would cost more in lawyer fees than what I paid for the car. I would just be fighting to win a case and lose money at that point.
I'll speak with the shop again on Friday see where we are at. They didn't get around to actually checking it till last Friday unfortunately. But we went ahead and ordered the haltech ecu. And reviewed what all needed to be done on the car. Which thankfully isn't that much at this point.
Hey man just seen your videos for the first time really sucks how they fucked you over really feel bad for you bro so sorry this shit happened to you .What ever happened with Japan Partner did you end up sueing them or did they work with you?
If you ever have problems with your turbos again in a TwinTurbo OEM car immediately throw them in the garbage and switch to a single larger turbo it is cheaper and easier in every way and with a much less expensive turbo you can gain a ton of power enough power that you will wish you had built your motor also if you ever lose compression it can also be something as cheap and simple as a head gasket to fix I am hoping you’ve learned these things by now but if you Haven’t I hope this helps a little bit also watch a lot of UA-cam videos about customizing your car from channels you trust ones that show you how to use aftermarket parts to replace OEM parts because you can buy aftermarket parts that are I thousand times better than a stock part and they will be less expensive easier to use easier to install easier to maintain and easier to change look at any completely built custom car everything is way simpler you don’t have to reuse stock oil coolers you don’t have to reuse stock radiators in most cases stock is phenomenally way more expensive especially in the case of a Gtr than just going after market unless you’re trying to maintain that stock value embrace the aftermarket like it’s your first love if you do it properly the car can maintain its value just as well and also remember if you’re going for that absolute stock value you can’t change your brakes you can’t change your coil overs everything has to remain the way it came from the factory and that is the most expensive way to enjoy your car if you really love the car and it sounds like you’ve already gotten in way over your head embrace the aftermarket do a lot of research before you pick up a wrench and that’s the biggest piece of advice I can give you pick up a wrench and do the work yourself in doing so you will find it a lot easier to figure out what is wrong when you have a problem rather than constantly trusting Mechanic to tell you the truth a lot of times a mechanic will try to fix things not really knowing what’s wrong so he will just start with the cheapest part and work his way up to the most expensive hoping eventually he gets it right you may as well do that yourself and learn some thing and save some money good luck brother i’ve seen the most mechanically inept people turn into geniuses just by picking up that wrench and learning
Really??? "They are gonna probably charge me some ridiculous price for getting those things fixed." I know the owners and mechanics at SZR Pro in Houston. Shout out to Brad when he see's this (If you haven't deleted my post already) I am sure they are going to like what you have to say about their pricing at their shop. They do excellent work and they are worth every penny and charge a fair rate for hard to find R33 parts. (Those parts are not cheap.) Deal with it. And then you go and talk smack about them on UA-cam while filming as you are pulling away from their shop? As an S14 Zenki owner who works on most of my repairs I had to eventually take it to one of the few reputable shops in Houston that specializes in S, Z, and R chassis Nissans to have some tuning and dyno testing from a freshly swapped motor. And then I watched your video where you literally crap on their shop 3/4 through? You are simply a whiny millennial who can not appreciate hard working mechanics and the valuable service they provide. No wonder you feel like mechanics and vendors charge you too much. It is simply because they have to put up with your attitude...
Bro chill. It wasnt an attack or anything. Mechanics are expensive. And getting performance stuff done on a car is very expensive no matter where you go. Idgaf if he sees this or not. I'm not shitting out gold and can't afford to drop a shitload of money because racecar. I got other priorities in life that come first. If they call me and say they don't want my business so be it. But it for damn sure won't be because I was talking about prices to get things done being expensive. I would have said that if I went to ANY shop.
Oh yes and one other thing. This is the first time I'm getting work done on the car by them. If they do quality work I'll have nothing but praise for them. Quality work means a premium price. And I really don't care what other people say about their own experience. What matters is my own experience. If it's great then great if it's shit idgaf if it was nismo omori I'm gonna call it out. I'm optimistic. But seriously take a min to understand what I'm saying before flying off the handle and looking like a jackass.
Hurry up everybody, donate to the guy with the 50,000 dollar car, a new house, new engine and all kinds of new parts! And a truck and a BMW. Hurry up he needs the money for his rice car!

I'll be expecting a #rememberthebuster sticker on the car
For how much money he just spent to get it and how much money you spent to fix it and how much money you get the parts but do you think he can drive it someone's going to get a great deal
Would love to link up seeing you are here in Houston. Would be nice to check out another BCNR33 in town. I also have something would like to give you for your car. I know you have been through a lot.
There’s so much rust in that body I can’t believe you’re still putting money into it
I didn't realize you were in Houston I stay on the nw side by 290 and bingle
We're moving out to the Tomball area when the house gets completed.
At least prices have skyrocketed in the last 18 months potentially as much as the restoration.
You aren't wrong. It certainly helps seeing the prices keep going up. But my build is catching up to it pretty quick lol.
Kelvin malli had a bad import story to. Im go with garage defend they seem cool. Think im get a evo 5 instead of r33
The 5 is great, especially love the blister fenders and wing.
Evos are awesome. I hear it doesn't cost your first born to work on them either.
@@DBuilds Good i like sedan anyway for the kids.
I saw the video where they scammed u and was looking for a follow true about it thid they send u a new mottor what happened ? This got me hook
I see all this as work you would have been doing anyway, just not so soon. Therefore , you get to enjoy a more finished product sooner.
Hey man I watched your first vid on how u got scammed sorry to hear all about that, do u still have one of those old gtr pistons that are trashed I’d love to have one in my garage. Hope you write back
Are you uploading any new videos of the gtr?
Dude I think you got a car that was in the tsunami
Cant enter the giveaway, just says action not executed for everything
Hey mate , just wondering if Japan partner ended up refunding you anything?
I have a rx7 fd that was import grade 4B and it had damage underneath the chassis. You got a bad one here . But it happens alot.
Makes me glad I got my lp2 33 from Aus. I could look at it and drive it first. That’s the shit thing about your 25 year rule. You only get the left overs
Yup. It sucks but nothing I can do about it now. Just gotta keep moving forward.
@@DBuilds that’s it man. If you need parts look in Aus and nz still a bit getting around
Maybe you were destined to rebuild gtrs
just curious what do you do to afford all this?
Ps why no Canada in the giveaway 😭 lol
What happened with the lawsuit? Those exporters that rip off people in the states really piss me off.
Can't do anything about it. Every international lawyer told me it would cost more in lawyer fees than what I paid for the car. I would just be fighting to win a case and lose money at that point.
@@DBuilds That seems really bullshit that they can just get away with this.
whens the next update comin?
I'll speak with the shop again on Friday see where we are at. They didn't get around to actually checking it till last Friday unfortunately. But we went ahead and ordered the haltech ecu. And reviewed what all needed to be done on the car. Which thankfully isn't that much at this point.
@@DBuilds that’s great news!
Thank you so much for the reply hope to see more vids soon !
@@unity86 I'll put one out as soon as I possibly can when I have video content. But it's the waiting game right now. It sucks. But it is what it is.
Hey man just seen your videos for the first time really sucks how they fucked you over really feel bad for you bro so sorry this shit happened to you .What ever happened with Japan Partner did you end up sueing them or did they work with you?
We need actual video of you working on the car not I've put the seats in or oh I've put the motor in
Seats are not nice. Makes the car look super ricey. But it's your car.
Seats look good to me, and yeah it's his car so why make the irrelevant comment.
@@user-ek5nl1jc4b its all good. Everyone has their own taste. I like the retro 80s neon look.
how do seats make a r33 gtr vspec car look rice? there's nothing you can do to a gtr that's gonna make it rice because its a gtr
Just LS swap it at this point haha.
Hurry up everybody, donate to the guy with the 50,000 dollar car, a new house, new engine and all kinds of new parts!
