I came here to say the exact same thing. The kidney portion of the frame is a dead giveaway. Also one of the few discrepancies in platoon most people miss. Alice packs instead of LW ruck.
Hey I have a hard time finding the Alice pack in woodland or the molle 2 pack in woodland which I think is the better pack over the Alice but I still like the Alice system and it seems like a good mod
@Boneheaddiesel1 the woodland MOLLE is relatively rare as they were only issued for a couple years. We had a couple hundred of them earlier this year but sold them all. The woodland ALICE was only available in the Medium size as far as I know
I love the fact that first picture you showed of its use is actually a Vietnam picture showing its predecessor the lightweight rucksack.
Out of 30kish people across the platforms, you are the first to mention it. I was really hoping more noticed.
@@onethiefsurplus super nerd here!

@ actually they have ARVN rucks in platoon, along with jungle first aid kits for some reason (a usmc only item during the war)
Also on a side note the Filbe frame shoulder straps and kidney pads are a direct for to any Alice pack. That's literally what I run right now.
