I made this video when I first started my journey in recording videos on youtube. My intent in this video was to explain some common knowledge in the fandom, in a form of a list. Thus, I personally know a few people in the fandom that have some trouble remembering in identifying what makes Vegito and Gogeta so different in "DBZ". So I am honestly very shocked that this many people were so eager to watch and click this video. However I still appreciate everyone who liked and supported my video, despite it being mediocre in quality. However, I firmly believe that I did a fair job in assessing the differences between our two beloved characters, and again, my video was not made to give you anything new in particular. So I apologize if my video offered you nothing, because if you are a fan who have seen or read the series numerous times, then this info should not be anything too ground breaking, which is why I'm even more surprised that this many people clicked on the video. Let’s not forget the fact that when Vegito was toying with Buu he wasn’t trying to finish him off because Goku and vegeta son’s were trapped inside buu. So vegito purposely got captured by buu so he can free them.

I knew that they had different names, but at least he went in depth about their name origins instead of just instantly moving on. The Vegito one was pretty confusing to me until I watched this video.
I like the way they handled personality with the fusions. Vegeto takes vegeta's arrogant and cocky personality with Goku's loudness. And the other fusion is the exact opposite
In the Vegito fusion, you can hear more of Goku’s voice instead of Vegeta’s voice. You can hear it when they fusion to fight Buu. And same is for Gogeta, you can hear more of vegeta’s voice instead of goku’s voice

Fun fact, Gogeta is now canon and superior to Vegito in terms of Stamina and Endurance, Vegito and Gogeta however are equally matched now in terms of Power but Gogeta has an edge over Vegito.

Gogeta was dominating in the movie but vegito would probably be in a whole new level if they fused with potara. Since goku said they didnt have earrings to form vegito they had no choice but to do fusion dance. So gogeta was morelike a second choice as an alternative for vegito. If the current vegita and goku fused with potara the vegito would be overwhelming to the point i guess he wont even need super saiyan blue to take broly on. When you perform the fusion dance your power levels have to be the same but once you fuse you can fully bring out both participants full power plus the multiplier. Having the same ki level is only required to merge bodies and that's it. It wont affect the total power level although the potara fusion is alot easier and faster to use.

#6 he wasnt making the fight longer due to his cockiness, goku witnessed gohan being absorbed before the fusion commenced. so their idea later as vegito was to use a ki shield and enter buu's body to find the others
I hate that they decided to give the potara fusion a time limit. I could get over it (Since it was still more powerful, and is suppose to last twice as long as the fusion dance), but it feels like A) It was a dumb reason to get Vegeta to agree to it, the first time they fused into Vegito, it was a big deal, because Vegeta was willing to become one with Goku, forever, if it meant he could kill the monster that absorbed his son. B) They had to have it so SSB Vegito was too powerful, and the fusion only lasted a few minutes. So even though we got SSB Vegito, they could make Trunks the hero, I could forgive this (Future Trunks is actually my second favorite character, first being Vegito, so if you take away fused characters, Future Trunks is my favorite) but C) They made it waaaaaay to similar to SS4 Gogeta vs Omega Shenron from GT. This all being said, I do hope maybe there's a way Goku and Vegeta can train to make the fusion last longer. Now that Vegito does have a time limit, the silver lining to this may be that we'll see him appear more in the future.
Tl;dr, They gave potara a time limit based on how much power is used and OP didn't like it. he thinks its a cop out for the drawbacks of permanent fusion, a reason to have Trunks the hero, and made it similar to GT SSJ4 Gogeta.
The sad thing is, thx to episode 66 of DBS, they made the Potara Fusion last an hour for these two. Doesn't make me hate Vegito in Super, I mean, he was amazing in the...ten or so minutes while he was SSB.
The creator is, in my opinion, creating a piece of crap when it comes to the story... Just think about it: 1st - Zamasu is immortal and powerful, then on the next episode he is not immortal - took all the expectation about how to defeat a powerful immortal enemy not to mention the pokemon that appeared. 2nd - Potara fusion fuses both wearers permanently, then the potara fusion lasts for 1 hour on non Kais... something the supreme kai and elder kai didn't know at the time of buu? Nor that it had a power limit as well? I don't think so. Super had the most anti climatic ending for this season, I don't know if toryama (or whoever is writing) went nuts for good, or if he is being pressured to put out content as fast as possible. The bottom line is, people hear the characters scream, see a flashy frame and think its the best show ever when it doesn't have the minimal intellect appeal whatsoever. I'm happy Vegito is back, he is my fav DB character but the potara thing they came up with, its pure mindless, flushed crap.

About their appearance, their face splits half, not vertically but horizontally. If everyone noticed, excluding the hair portion, the upper half of the face of Vegito (including eyes) is more like Goku's, this can be seen from his fight with Buu and Zamasu as well (where he gives that innocent eyes expressions at start vs buu (yoohoo) and when Zamasu cries (are you seriously crying)).. The lower half of Vegito's face is obviously Vegeta's.. Similarly the upper half of Gogeta's face is more like Vegeta (whenever Goegta smiles or laughs his eyebrows resemble like Vegeta's (eg: after Janemba was killed, seeing that kid run he smiled, after playing prank with Omega Shenron when he laughed, notice his eyebrows).. Then again, obviously Gogeta's lower half is Vegeta's.. Please provide your comments on this as well 🙂🙂

Vegito took his time on purpose. Trying to figure out a way to get the people out of Buu. He coulda gone 2-3 to vaporize Super Buu. He COMPLETELY succeeded at that, and the ONLY reason he didn't succeed at defeating One-Star as well was because he had never used the SS4 fusion before, thus he lacked knowledge on how it would affect the fusion. He made one mistake, and wasn't because of being dumb, as he clearly wasn't, it was because of lack of knowledge on a never-before-seen fusion.
I have only watched the series like 4 times (GT), and only Japanese once. But I have watched that entire fight over and over. There was never any implication, or anyone saying that shit to my recollection. This definitely seems like conjecture, being that Gogeta had the power to kill him without a spirit bomb. He took the hits from Shenron like he did against Janemba. And even said, ": oh shit" they ran out of time, and had to scramble, because fusion is now attested to your batteries, instead of the actual set time given.

In my opinion, it's like a balancing act... Big bang Kamehameha is stronger, yet takes WAY more time to charge, Final Kamehameha is weaker, but charges faster.
The reason Vegetto was wasting time & displaying arrogance was because he had a rescue mission to fullfil & he needed buu to be intimated & later absorb him, it was all basically planned for by the merged fighter.
I have two theories for them 1) Gogeta is like a compound. As in formation of a compound, the components loses there individual properties and together form a new substance. As in gogeta, goku and vegeta completely combine to make a new fighter who have his own physical appearance. Gogeta look different from both goku and vegeta aside from facial structure. While vegito is a mixture. In mixture, the individual components still retain their characteristics, in vegito, both dominate traits of goku and vegeta are combine in such a way that vegito clearly look both like goku and vegeta. 2nd theory : Gogeta is a physical fusion as fusion dance is a technique, physical movements are required so goku and vegeta are completely fuse, while vegito is a spiritual fusion , so vegito has more power but he isn't much strong to hold that power. While gogeta may have less power but he's physical strong to use his full power at maximum level.
Super gogeta is awesome....Some say vegito has no time limits compared to gogeta but the thing is this badass gogeta won't take much time to take the shit outta the opponent....

What you're thinking of is personality. A fusion is a complete new being. Neither Goku nor Vegeta have "control" over either fusion, as Gogeta and Vegito are not two separate people being controlled by their counterparts. Personality is one way of describing this, but at the end of the day, these fusions are just a single person.
update on potara fusion: non-kaishin users of potara will last one hour, however, the more power the fusion uses, the less it will last. kaishin fusions last forever
Yeah, but they only added that after super came out. Originally they would be permanent no matter what. But they didn't have another buu to eat them. So they made that shit up to bring vegitto into the zamsu and god arc cuz of the earrings being from the gods.
I don't understand when people say Vegito is similar to Vegeta If you watched DBS:Broly you know that Vegeta was going to kill Broly and after that Goku started in his base form. It's Goku's trait to always stretch a fight as he wants to know how powerful his opponent is. Vegito is taller, talks very much,has similar hair to Goku. Whereas Gogeta is shorter, is ruthless, doesn't stretches a fight and has a wider forehead like Vegeta.
yes that's correct and the time limit for a human fusion with potara rings is about 1hr stated by Gowasu in dbs, however vegito ss blue could only last 30 minutes becuase of all the power it uses

That's the problem. True, Gogeta is already an established character, but suppose Toriyama also want to call the dance fused, Vegetto as well. Until Gogeta shows up in a canon series as "Gogeta", he will continue to be non-canon.
Its not canon, but its a doable and possible thing. They could take the character in any direction, but I don't see them ever going that route again. They binged heavily on the fusion & absorption theme, and I don't see them returning to it.
In my personal opinion I prefer Gogeta because I like the name better and the fusion clothing looks really cool on him and the hair mix of Vegeta and SSJ2 Goku is amazing
You're right. I agree with you. If you look closely at "base form" Vegito before he turns super Saiyan Vegito' face and hair style and color definitely takes more after "Vegeta" in appearance. Gogeta looks more like "Goku" in the face with Vegeta's facial style combined.

When you perform the fusion dance your power levels have to be the same but once you fuse you can fully bring out both participants full power plus the multiplier. Having the same ki level is only required to merge bodies and that's it. It wont affect the total power level although the potara fusion is alot easier and faster to use.

I hate that they decided to give the potara fusion a time limit. I could get over it (Since it was still more powerful, and is suppose to last twice as long as the fusion dance), but it feels like A) It was a dumb reason to get Vegeta to agree to it, the first time they fused into Vegito, it was a big deal, because Vegeta was willing to become one with Goku, forever, if it meant he could kill the monster that absorbed his son. B) They had to have it so SSB Vegito was too powerful, and the fusion only lasted a few minutes. So even though we got SSB Vegito, they could make Trunks the hero, I could forgive this (Future Trunks is actually my second favorite character, first being Vegito, so if you take away fused characters, Future Trunks is my favorite) but C) They made it waaaaaay to similar to SS4 Gogeta vs Omega Shenron from GT.
This all being said, I do hope maybe there's a way Goku and Vegeta can train to make the fusion last longer. Now that Vegito does have a time limit, the silver lining to this may be that we'll see him appear more in the future.

Tl;dr, They gave potara a time limit based on how much power is used and OP didn't like it. he thinks its a cop out for the drawbacks of permanent fusion, a reason to have Trunks the hero, and made it similar to GT SSJ4 Gogeta.
They stated it was the magic/nasty air in Buu's stomach that separated them.

The creator is, in my opinion, creating a piece of crap when it comes to the story... Just think about it:
1st - Zamasu is immortal and powerful, then on the next episode he is not immortal - took all the expectation about how to defeat a powerful immortal enemy not to mention the pokemon that appeared.
2nd - Potara fusion fuses both wearers permanently, then the potara fusion lasts for 1 hour on non Kais... something the supreme kai and elder kai didn't know at the time of buu? Nor that it had a power limit as well? I don't think so.
Super had the most anti climatic ending for this season, I don't know if toryama (or whoever is writing) went nuts for good, or if he is being pressured to put out content as fast as possible. The bottom line is, people hear the characters scream, see a flashy frame and think its the best show ever when it doesn't have the minimal intellect appeal whatsoever.
I'm happy Vegito is back, he is my fav DB character but the potara thing they came up with, its pure mindless, flushed crap.

About their appearance, their face splits half, not vertically but horizontally. If everyone noticed, excluding the hair portion, the upper half of the face of Vegito (including eyes) is more like Goku's, this can be seen from his fight with Buu and Zamasu as well (where he gives that innocent eyes expressions at start vs buu (yoohoo) and when Zamasu cries (are you seriously crying)).. The lower half of Vegito's face is obviously Vegeta's..
Similarly the upper half of Gogeta's face is more like Vegeta (whenever Goegta smiles or laughs his eyebrows resemble like Vegeta's (eg: after Janemba was killed, seeing that kid run he smiled, after playing prank with Omega Shenron when he laughed, notice his eyebrows).. Then again, obviously Gogeta's lower half is Vegeta's..

SSJ4 Gogeta wasn't a dumb at all, his whole fight with One-Star was strategically planned.
Yes, SS4 Gogeta also "took his time on purpose".
He provoked One-Star to make him unleashed his Negative Sphere attack, so he could converted into positive and with it purify the Earth from the negative essence.
He COMPLETELY succeeded at that, and the ONLY reason he didn't succeed at defeating One-Star as well was because he had never used the SS4 fusion before, thus he lacked knowledge on how it would affect the fusion.
He made one mistake, and wasn't because of being dumb, as he clearly wasn't, it was because of lack of knowledge on a never-before-seen fusion.
I have only watched the series like 4 times (GT), and only Japanese once. But I have watched that entire fight over and over. There was never any implication, or anyone saying that shit to my recollection. This definitely seems like conjecture, being that Gogeta had the power to kill him without a spirit bomb. He took the hits from Shenron like he did against Janemba. And even said, ": oh shit" they ran out of time, and had to scramble, because fusion is now attested to your batteries, instead of the actual set time given.

I have two theories for them
1) Gogeta is like a compound. As in formation of a compound, the components loses there individual properties and together form a new substance. As in gogeta, goku and vegeta completely combine to make a new fighter who have his own physical appearance. Gogeta look different from both goku and vegeta aside from facial structure. While vegito is a mixture. In mixture, the individual components still retain their characteristics, in vegito, both dominate traits of goku and vegeta are combine in such a way that vegito clearly look both like goku and vegeta.
2nd theory :
Gogeta is a physical fusion as fusion dance is a technique, physical movements are required so goku and vegeta are completely fuse, while vegito is a spiritual fusion , so vegito has more power but he isn't much strong to hold that power. While gogeta may have less power but he's physical strong to use his full power at maximum level.
Super gogeta is awesome....Some say vegito has no time limits compared to gogeta but the thing is this badass gogeta won't take much time to take the shit outta the opponent....

I don't understand when people say Vegito is similar to Vegeta
If you watched DBS:Broly you know that Vegeta was going to kill Broly and after that Goku started in his base form. It's Goku's trait to always stretch a fight as he wants to know how powerful his opponent is.
Vegito is taller, talks very much,has similar hair to Goku.
Whereas Gogeta is shorter, is ruthless, doesn't stretches a fight and has a wider forehead like Vegeta.

yes that's correct and the time limit for a human fusion with potara rings is about 1hr stated by Gowasu in dbs, however vegito ss blue could only last 30 minutes becuase of all the power it uses

That's the problem. True, Gogeta is already an established character, but suppose Toriyama also want to call the dance fused, Vegetto as well. Until Gogeta shows up in a canon series as "Gogeta", he will continue to be non-canon.
Its not canon, but its a doable and possible thing. They could take the character in any direction, but I don't see them ever going that route again. They binged heavily on the fusion & absorption theme, and I don't see them returning to it.
I like Vegito more, but I'd love to see SSB Gogeta being canon and wipe the floor with Black/Zamasu.

If you look closely at "base form" Vegito before he turns super Saiyan Vegito' face and hair style and color definitely takes more after "Vegeta" in appearance.
Gogeta looks more like "Goku" in the face with Vegeta's facial style combined.
Also vegetto has more of vegetas personallity ... he sais himself that his name comes from vegeta + kakarotto ... goku wouldnt call himself kakarotto.
