- Though I've covered this on UA-cam as far back as 2007, I don't think I've ever put a full version out. So here is an updated look. Also I have a full-length updated lesson at www.leadsolo.com
Ed King would love your playin'. Great Job!
Really liked how you alternated different guitar parts. This song is so hard to get all the joe bobs and billy bobs right.
1:29 and 2:19 - the solos
That was great. So that is how to play it. Brilliant. Love the Strat too. 😄👍🏻🍒pickin🎸
2:33 nice. Note for note as always, great playing!
Wow, you really get a fuller sense of how great all 3 guitarists were together. Ed King’s second solo is just amazing, all the little fills in the chorus , blending of the rhythms on the verses…… I never really tire of this song
Awesome job as always, always look forward to seeing your content
No words. Just thanks for that.
Excellent!
Awesome thanks and best wishes from Columbus Ohio USA
Awesome Tom, you showed me some spots I was doing it wrong.
Boy I sure did love ED Kings playing.
Very cool!
Gracias por todos sus vídeos. Impresionante. Saludos.
Another tasty gift from a master! TY
Gary's part got buried in the mix you have to listen real hard to hear it. I also love Steve Gains solo on the live album
Beautiful!! Nice work!!
Do you ever teach these songs online. You do a great job of getting these songs accurate
Tom could you please give a detailed description of your red Strat?
Specifically: year, model, color, frets, etc…
Thanks
It's a 2010 American made strat FSR Fender Special Run. It has the exact electronics as the Eric Clapton model fender sells... They sold my fsr for $1250 even though the Clapton version was $5,000 because of the name... details here. ... www.musiciansfriend.com/guitars/fender-custom-shop-artist-series-eric-clapton-stratocaster-electric-guitar?pfm=arecs&productId=511544000824063&recPosition=1 it sounds great through my egnator amp but I've never been able to capture a good sound from it on my video so I'm surprised you asked. Lol.
✨👍👍💯
🙂
In the intro, after the G, it's B flat to C, and then the roll. Not an open A. EVERYONE gets this wrong. Ed King was my neighbor, and I played guitar with him all the time. You're wrong in a few spots, but that's the most noticeable.
Crap, man! Are there any songs you suck at? You’re so thorough… even knowing the parts that are so buried in the track that they’re almost imperceptible but when you’re playing with the track it’s super obvious you’re on the money. This isn’t brown nosing. Just an acknowledgment. You’re really good.
Thanks. I appreciate your feedback... And that you can appreciate the detail. 🙂
Your still Second To None.
