  • Your tyres should be your only point of contact with the ground (apart from when you get the tripod out on the steepest of terrain, or flattest of corners!), so they're a super important one! Make sure that yours are in tip-top condition so that your rides aren't interrupted by annoying mechanicals. When do you consider a tyre too worn and worth a change?

I use mine until they rip apart, stock up on green tire juice at Walmart when on clearance ands juice them up. The current tires have over 1k goat head thorns pulled out and juice plugs right up, every once in a while i get a squirt or two from cuts that eventually juice clogs up. Going tubeless has saved me so much money…I ride ebike

It’s ‘Tyre’ not ‘Tire’ here on the UK

The geo-titling feature on UA-cam doesn't seem to be working! We have it as Tyre for UK English settings and Tire for English US settings. Are you sure your browser language isn't set to Eng (US)?

E-mtb specific tires (heavy) may be fine for a full-powered e-mtb; but, I would never run such on my mid-powered Specialized Levo SL. Overkill on the sidewalls.

This is a commercial for Pirelli. It should be marked as such.

Using Pirelli to explain the terms relative to tires is still useful to those that do not know. Surely you don't this your are unique in your ability to determine that Pirelli pays for their tires to be used as a prop for explanation. Something/somebody has to pay the bills.....

The problem is that the first 60% of the video does not have anything to do with the video title - it just seems like a way to give us an ad

Owen does state Pirelli is a "partner" and any other makes are included in this video! Chill out bro!

I still believe almost everything "eMTB" specific is just a way to charge more money. Yes, for any one particular rider, they will likely cause more wear on an eMTB than an Analog bike, they however aren't causing more wear to any part than a higher level or pro rider. So a normal rider who averages 150watts on an analog bike may average 200 watts on an eMTB. Not a huge difference, and as for weight, eMTB are 10-20 pounds heavier than their Analog counterparts. And I can guarantee the weight difference between a rider is significantly more than that. eMTB branded parts are just the heavy parts that Analog riders won't buy because of weight, branded for eMTB. So, if they are CHEAPER than the Analog equivalent, and you want more life, then eMTB parts are a good buy. But if they are sold at a premium price because they are "eMTB" specific, that is a cash grab.
