Unfortunately, this is pretty common with the Orion 80mm. They use to be a nice little scope, but those days are long gone. Svbony, on the other hand, has never let me down with any of their equipment, and I have a bunch.
I agree. I've had several SVBony products now. Their optics are consistently good. I was so disappointed with the Orion scope. It would have been great for an entry level scope but it turned out to be useless.

Might be a collimation issue with the CT80. Perhaps pinched optics?
Yeah I think you are right. It was unusable from the factory so I had to send it back to them.
