I'm not sure it's actually what anyone would call good HPS. But it's HPS I'm doing while murdering enemies.
The problem with them nerfing eye of the Gemini to the ground like they did is how reliant rage DBS is on the berserk super charge... If you are a rage DPS and you neglect to use that super charge your dps will be in the gutter, down there with people not trying to dps (trolls, tanks, and healers) BUT if you use the berserk supercharge and keep it up as often as possible in combat you will consistently be close to the top of the damage board... This means that at this point rage DPS is forced to run scrap of the soul cloak which is commonly nothing more than a swap artifact... A huge portion of the player base hates swap artifacts because it wrecks the flow of the game and simply isn't fun, and honestly, it is absolutely a exploit...
As a EARTH dps, that has Trans, Strat and Lernaes at 200, Maxing out Heart of ISIS to 200 this week was pretty refreshing, as it gave me that 20% Might Buff and the Shazam also adds additional crit as DPS role.
Leveling arts are free. Idk why everyone is so mad if they nerf it, you didn’t pay anything. If you did pay something that’s on you, after fate vendor leveling an artifact is a million times easier than before when players had to dump atleast a $20 in seals
@@jamescoward110 have you not been to John yet? Spending maybe an hour with a WB train once a week gets you upwards of 300 SMs, which more than covers what you'll need for most artifact levels.
Hey Obsidian, I have a 120 grim would you say it's not even worth keeping and would you recommend just merging it into another art. I'm electric prec with 200 trans and 200 strat and im not sure on the best 3rd art to use. I will say I may consider switching back to might quantum in the future.
"Changes gotta come..." so will the *next* Artifact XP in which you can dissolve the artifact without losing any XP. Only thing you might lose is Source Marks on new Catalysts, Seals (which you can now obtain in game) and maybe your patience to go through the levelling procedure again.
I have 3 toons, one for each role; ice, electric, and quantum. But I don't follow your suggestion of buff trolling for my quanton troll role. And I don't do elite on him either, so keep that in mind. I use Rao, Claw, and Commlink. But on the Claw, I only have it at 180 because I don't want to get it at 200 since I lose the ability to give power, even if it's just a little. I know you said in the past a few times that you can't use the Claw and Commlink at the same time but you can IF you have the Claw less than 200, you just don't give as much power. I and a league mate were on test a little after the Claw can out and tested Commlink and Claw. We have Rao at 200, Commlink at 200 and 1 Claw at 180, and 1 Claw at 200. And, right, if you get the Claw to 200, then you lose the ability to give any power. True... Then you do give some power, granted it's not a lot. And the Commlink did its thing and gave all 3 debuffs. And then it comes to the Claw. The Claw at 200 didn't give any power as it says in the description but, but (intentionally have the 2 buts) if you have the Claw at 180 to 199 (just don't break through to 200), you can give some power. And a lot of people ask us (I think we have about 3 or 4 people in the league using this, the artifacts) all the time how we do damage, buff the group, debuff the adds, and boss(es). And we give them the 3 artifacts that we use, but we tell them, not to get the Claw to 200. We tell them, we're an all-around troller. We've been using this ever since. Since we don't have to swap to another artifact. But it does work.
one cool thing to point out about dilustel refractor, is its giving the buff troll 10-30k hp depending on the tanks dominance. Its not a main art since art swapping with a tank is risky, but our tanks are still experimenting with it
@@ObsidianChill Yeah, Dilustel is weird since it's a TANK art... that helps allies live longer even if they're taking damage from enemies you haven't aggroed. If you're gonna spam pulls, might as well go for it.
@ObsidianChill have you not noticed the past couple of bonus Ally favor and Nth Metal week..... They have decreased the amount doing that week and right after that bonus week is over you actually receive more than you did doing a bonus week... And right now with this week I've noticed using the Nth Metal Detector... Instead of receiving two I'm only getting one.... But in the past doing the bonus week you would receive two.... Don't know if it's a glitch or they just changing things without letting us know....
A couple of questions: 1. Would Clarion be a good artifact for fire tanks looking for a pure healing loadout, or is it redundant? 2. Wouldn't Grimoire be a better option for Quantum because the way it procs with gravaton powers?
Clarion can work really well with a fire build, I have it for my fire tank as well. Grim wise the only exception is with Quantum's lift. The actual pi damage quislet is still better but you have powers like qunatum's life and munitions chain gun where they have special interactions with the pi. Since quantum's best SC is a 10k as well I prefer using quislet for the sc regen. You can always work in Singularity to the rotation to get the pi for lift and if you aren't using lift than quislet will already be better.

I don't care about the EoG change. But, I really don't like the "ToS says they can do whatever they want" argument. Yes, it's technically true, but a bad way to look at it. Here's an extreme example that they could do and I don't think you or anyone else would defend even though, the ToS says they can. Starting May 1st 2023, all existing Artifacts will become grey junk items with no sell value. May 2nd 2023, all Artifacts (v2) will be available for purchase for $20 each. They will be level 0 with 0XP. Have fun buying and re-leveling the Artifacts you already had. Oh, and 1d6 months later, we'll move on to Artifacts (v3) where you can buy and level them again. ToS says we can. Deal with it. I have no problem with buffing or nerfing things. But, it should be done IMMEDIATELY upon realizing that change needs to happen. Not years later. Leaving things in place for years tells people there's nothing to worry about. It's a false sense of security and it's unfair.
I use La mort on my GL cause is use the finisher alot, i mean i do a combo follow by finisher and then do another finisher after then again the combo finisher then finisher so yeah i highly need La mort.
I'm sure Chill will be there with us all when they finally announce server shut down due to ATL population even with new episode. I dont see this game past 2024, the devs are making it too obvious they just squeezing as much money as possible from the remaining loyal fan base.
solar will depend on your power but yes that would be needed for alot of the ST rotations but you can also get away without solar amplifier and use regular heatvision. Trans-Strat are the common other 2

quislet will help you more than grim. It will help you build supercharge, when you use cursed idol or another sc it will proc extra dmg and give you passive damage like grim
Bro take it from me yuh will die constantly I'm gadgets as well I tried to use that art n constantly killed myself cause gadgets have a lot clipping that yuh will lose track of or keep forgetting to hit finisher to refresh it but it's up to yuh cause yuh will need a very good healer to keep yuh alive as gadgets when clipping with amulet
Hi my power set is Rage (200 EOG, 160 trans, 160 strat, 200 manacles, 120 quislet, 120 grim, 120 solar amp) and i have 2 questions: 1. I’ve been using quislet but did not see it in your video. Should i put it into venom wrist since I’m thinking of going rage prec? 2. Concerning mystic symbol and Everyman. Are the benefits from 160 to 200 worth it? Or should i just get them to 160. if you are going rage prec I would bring your strat card up to 200 first. Mystic and Everyman can both be kept at 160 unless you just have extra xp/cats, they do perfectly fine at 160
before any mention of eog changes VWD wasn't a swap art for prec. If the eog changes make it useless then VWD could be the new meta, which is why it was 1st on the arts to consider leveling. Won't know till after the eog changes hit live what happens to the prec meta
Regarding straight healing for Reg and Elite content, I was wondering how this setup would work for my Sorcery Healer. I have always had my 200 Page, 200 Purple, and these I won't change, but for my 3rd, would you recommend Clarion for the 8 person group shield & heals and swapping it out for the 200 scrape of soul cloak before hitting the SC and then swapping the Clarion back to continue business as usual? I was looking at the protect for the group and free HOT it offered.

@@ObsidianChill Isnt Mystic7 more for adds (increases Def for each enemy within 5 yards) and Everyman the anytime use one (Increases Def as lose heath) Especially in the new Static missions, I'm finding myself spending more and more time keeping a fair distance from the bosses, and there isn't the numbers of adds that SOBA bosses had. So my Mystic7 is barely even being used in the new boss fights, where Everyman kicks in if they ever manage to hit me (I'm fire as well, btw)
My bad chills if you answered this before and I know you just said "not answering eog questions" but i'm still need to try haha. You said eog is broken, do you feel its broken for healers too? Or you justify it's broken for DPS roles?
the sc regen is the broken component to healers. You can run 3x 2500's and near literally never run out of SC to use one. You aren't healing the player you are "healing their sc" which is stupid. I would even say the DPS eog is ok, as long as the green circles don't restore supercharge. Also if the green circles restored only the healers supercharge and no one else I would be fine with that too.
@ObsidianChillDCUO ah. Yeah, you make a great point. I love never running out of a supercharge. But, the greens at that point are only working for a SC not so much healing. Same reason tanks will use eog, only to build sc to players(dps). I've seen healers get kicked out of raids for not having eog lol. Anyhow, yeah I get it. Can't knock the truth on how broken eog is. I'm a nature healer and I love it lol. Thanks for the reply chills and keep us all posted once they upload the new eog onto test. What should a prec dps be levelling as a third artifact, if they don't want to commit to EoG? VWD? Quislet? Scrap? I'm electricity, if that makes any difference.
it will be between VWD and Quislet. Quislet will get your passive dmg and the extra sc regen where if you combine VWD when you do get to use circuit breaker its certainly nice for the dmg
I want a healer for omnibus raid /alerts with my leaguemates, is there something with 80's /120's rank that works decent enough? I was thinking omegahedron, page and strat paired with cyborg would at least let me spam healing, with a prec or pet build armory for the non-bosses section; but I'm not sure what's best at low ranks (2 @ 80's, 1 @120)
As a gem spam healer running scrap , eye , ray do u think it’s possible to swap in page im not sure how i would know when the stacks of page are on them i would just have to assume how many stacks they have on them right?
technically you could, the page stacks last 30s so you would have to swap it in and use a group heal to refresh within 30s and then at that point guess how many stacks are active. I've never tested if the stacks disappear if the art isn't on or if you'd get a page proc with it not equipped though.

They should have given us dark pact back to put celestial back into the meta and made dark pact a supercharge instead of an ability it would make sense because the same thing happened to neo-venom boost.
Do you see a big jump in Quislet above 160? Just on paper it doesn’t look to be an artifact that needs to go to 200 to me but maybe I’m overlooking something.
every 5 seconds you hit a power with a 200 quislet you get 1% supercharge regen. It adds up pretty quick. If you think that is worth it for you for the 1mil xp then you can decide to level it.
@@RobDastardly supercharge won’t be scarce as people may think we can still spam supercharge. And eog nerf isn’t finalized yet so ranking eog now will not hurt that much if it change down the line and I don’t think the nerf will be as bad as people think. Since technically healers can still recharge sc.
a full healer would never drop a power for the weapon buff though. You take out a whole ability just to proc clarion where the shield and heals don't go to the entire group
@@ObsidianChill healers have been healing for years with just 3 abilities and 3 useless supercharges (in terms of healing) and only purple healing ray to buff their heals, this is why I would recommend clarion for full healer as you’ll still have 5 abilities for healing and page of destiny for more potent heals
Hey @Obsidian, I never thought about this but today it cross my mind about how did celestial dark pact get removed instead of becoming a supercharge like neo-venom boost did. And why did life drain stay even though it’s not great and it makes celestial have 2 support supercharges 1 weird supercharge (life drain) and a damage supercharge (cursed idol). It would align with how electricity supercharges are and I feel like the devs may have miss that opportunity to make it a supercharge like they did with neo-venom boost. Do you think it will be good idea for it to come back to the game as a damage boost supercharge? And should I share this on the forums?

@@dcuoshankjones3587 it doesn't do more damage though, as a prec dps you are still using a power often enough to proc mega blast, and you get the refractor beam aoe dmg anytime you use a supercharge and get the 1% sc regen. Even if you were using grim for the power interaction bonus, it's still less damage overall then Quislet
As a HL, I find it very useful when used with construct combos as the combos have reduced power cost compared to tray-activated powers, making the damage in from the amulet easily manageable.
you can't have an entire game revolve around 1 artifact. EOG completely defines DCUO endgame content. Players get kicked from raids if they don't use EOG lol
one player doesnt have the power to nerf any item. the fact that this particular item is so broken calls for its own fix and will more than likely be adjusted in time. don't pay for mechanics or rely on them as they are always subject to change

Obsidian ignoring the nerf rumors. Which is a better combo for a healer (eog,purple,page) or (eog,trans,purple). My power is sorcery. I know its not the best healer power but i just wanted something different.
Will depend on the content you run a bit. Eog/PHR/Page will be better for elite content where in event-normal-alerts etc page really doesn't proc because you aren't taking that much damage and if you do its not enough to kill you in regular so then you aren't getting as much use out of page. Where trans will always feed into your PHR for continual use
Trans, PHR, Page is the best for maximum healing output/survivability. You can swap trans if you want to give green here and there without losing out to much healing. (This is of course not considering the eog nerf that is coming) Tbh I wouldn't get eog if you are getting it for your healing role atm.

Grim is not viable anymore . Feed it to Gemini or quislet

yup, there are times I don't run a SC on my tank so I have refractor for that

Is there ANY benefit to leveling Dead King Septor past 180? There doesn't seem to be any real benefit to Level 200 over 180.
As rage prec, I don't want to invest in eog anymore and was wondering, should I run quislet at 200 as my 3rd art or scrap at 200 as my third art?
As a rage prec I promise you. Put that EOG into Venom Wrist.
If you dont want to then Quiz or Scrap are both good. Scrap you're getting berzerk off faster and more often but Quiz better stats
most are saying VWD, not being a prec dps I don't want to say for certainty but it makes sense to run that

Bro take it from me yuh will die constantly I'm gadgets as well I tried to use that art n constantly killed myself cause gadgets have a lot clipping that yuh will lose track of or keep forgetting to hit finisher to refresh it but it's up to yuh cause yuh will need a very good healer to keep yuh alive as gadgets when clipping with amulet
I only use eog on my healer. Hopfully it doesnt get nerfed too badly for healers. I dont really care if the dps sides get nerfed.

Hi my power set is Rage (200 EOG, 160 trans, 160 strat, 200 manacles, 120 quislet, 120 grim, 120 solar amp) and i have 2 questions:
1. I’ve been using quislet but did not see it in your video. Should i put it into venom wrist since I’m thinking of going rage prec?
2. Concerning mystic symbol and Everyman. Are the benefits from 160 to 200 worth it? Or should i just get them to 160.

if you are going rage prec I would bring your strat card up to 200 first. Mystic and Everyman can both be kept at 160 unless you just have extra xp/cats, they do perfectly fine at 160
Transformation card have any animation like cards poping over your head or something like that? Or is a “invisible” artifact like Strategist card?
nope, trans card is purely stats. It doesn't have any animation or fx

I use strategist, trans and tetra for my might dps, o think tetra is awesome for raids and feat grind
tetra is better as a controller art. But if you are doing solo or alerts etc you could get away with it

before any mention of eog changes VWD wasn't a swap art for prec. If the eog changes make it useless then VWD could be the new meta, which is why it was 1st on the arts to consider leveling. Won't know till after the eog changes hit live what happens to the prec meta

Regarding straight healing for Reg and Elite content, I was wondering how this setup would work for my Sorcery Healer.
I have always had my 200 Page, 200 Purple, and these I won't change, but for my 3rd, would you recommend Clarion for the 8 person group shield & heals and swapping it out for the 200 scrape of soul cloak before hitting the SC and then swapping the Clarion back to continue business as usual?
I was looking at the protect for the group and free HOT it offered.

everyman, because laz is for boss fights and everyman is for adds

Isnt Mystic7 more for adds (increases Def for each enemy within 5 yards) and Everyman the anytime use one (Increases Def as lose heath)
Especially in the new Static missions, I'm finding myself spending more and more time keeping a fair distance from the bosses, and there isn't the numbers of adds that SOBA bosses had. So my Mystic7 is barely even being used in the new boss fights, where Everyman kicks in if they ever manage to hit me

My bad chills if you answered this before and I know you just said "not answering eog questions" but i'm still need to try haha. You said eog is broken, do you feel its broken for healers too? Or you justify it's broken for DPS roles?
the sc regen is the broken component to healers. You can run 3x 2500's and near literally never run out of SC to use one. You aren't healing the player you are "healing their sc" which is stupid. I would even say the DPS eog is ok, as long as the green circles don't restore supercharge. Also if the green circles restored only the healers supercharge and no one else I would be fine with that too.
@ObsidianChillDCUO ah. Yeah, you make a great point. I love never running out of a supercharge. But, the greens at that point are only working for a SC not so much healing. Same reason tanks will use eog, only to build sc to players(dps). I've seen healers get kicked out of raids for not having eog lol. Anyhow, yeah I get it. Can't knock the truth on how broken eog is. I'm a nature healer and I love it lol. Thanks for the reply chills and keep us all posted once they upload the new eog onto test. What should a prec dps be levelling as a third artifact, if they don't want to commit to EoG? VWD? Quislet? Scrap? I'm electricity, if that makes any difference.
it will be between VWD and Quislet. Quislet will get your passive dmg and the extra sc regen where if you combine VWD when you do get to use circuit breaker its certainly nice for the dmg

I want a healer for omnibus raid /alerts with my leaguemates, is there something with 80's /120's rank that works decent enough?
I was thinking omegahedron, page and strat paired with cyborg would at least let me spam healing, with a prec or pet build armory for the non-bosses section; but I'm not sure what's best at low ranks (2 @ 80's, 1 @120)
120's on purple healing ray, page of destiny etc still work well for healing. omega won't help much and strat is really only good at 200

As a gem spam healer running scrap , eye , ray do u think it’s possible to swap in page im not sure how i would know when the stacks of page are on them i would just have to assume how many stacks they have on them right?
technically you could, the page stacks last 30s so you would have to swap it in and use a group heal to refresh within 30s and then at that point guess how many stacks are active. I've never tested if the stacks disappear if the art isn't on or if you'd get a page proc with it not equipped though.

solar is fine at 160, 200 just adds the empowered channel mod, which if needed you can eqiup yourself and some stats

They should have given us dark pact back to put celestial back into the meta and made dark pact a supercharge instead of an ability it would make sense because the same thing happened to neo-venom boost.
Do you see a big jump in Quislet above 160? Just on paper it doesn’t look to be an artifact that needs to go to 200 to me but maybe I’m overlooking something.
200 makes you gain more supercharge which is worth ranking for.
every 5 seconds you hit a power with a 200 quislet you get 1% supercharge regen. It adds up pretty quick. If you think that is worth it for you for the 1mil xp then you can decide to level it.

@@RobDastardly supercharge won’t be scarce as people may think we can still spam supercharge. And eog nerf isn’t finalized yet so ranking eog now will not hurt that much if it change down the line and I don’t think the nerf will be as bad as people think. Since technically healers can still recharge sc.
Full heal I would recommend clarion and over trans card.
a full healer would never drop a power for the weapon buff though. You take out a whole ability just to proc clarion where the shield and heals don't go to the entire group
@@ObsidianChill healers have been healing for years with just 3 abilities and 3 useless supercharges (in terms of healing) and only purple healing ray to buff their heals, this is why I would recommend clarion for full healer as you’ll still have 5 abilities for healing and page of destiny for more potent heals

Hey @Obsidian, I never thought about this but today it cross my mind about how did celestial dark pact get removed instead of becoming a supercharge like neo-venom boost did. And why did life drain stay even though it’s not great and it makes celestial have 2 support supercharges 1 weird supercharge (life drain) and a damage supercharge (cursed idol). It would align with how electricity supercharges are and I feel like the devs may have miss that opportunity to make it a supercharge like they did with neo-venom boost. Do you think it will be good idea for it to come back to the game as a damage boost supercharge? And should I share this on the forums?

@@ObsidianChill I would argue in a raid setting not having grim would be a detriment though it does more damage, overall as a prec dps you'd do more dmg bc of the power you will have access to no?
@@dcuoshankjones3587 it doesn't do more damage though, as a prec dps you are still using a power often enough to proc mega blast, and you get the refractor beam aoe dmg anytime you use a supercharge and get the 1% sc regen. Even if you were using grim for the power interaction bonus, it's still less damage overall then Quislet

What power larnea art suits the best?
it's really good with Fire from my understanding
gadgets does very well with it, with tazer pull, the mines and naplam grenade all being 100 power cost moves
As a HL, I find it very useful when used with construct combos as the combos have reduced power cost compared to tray-activated powers, making the damage in from the amulet easily manageable.
Eog will not be changed don't worry

you can't have an entire game revolve around 1 artifact. EOG completely defines DCUO endgame content. Players get kicked from raids if they don't use EOG lol

one player doesnt have the power to nerf any item. the fact that this particular item is so broken calls for its own fix and will more than likely be adjusted in time. don't pay for mechanics or rely on them as they are always subject to change

Obsidian ignoring the nerf rumors. Which is a better combo for a healer (eog,purple,page) or (eog,trans,purple). My power is sorcery. I know its not the best healer power but i just wanted something different.
Will depend on the content you run a bit. Eog/PHR/Page will be better for elite content where in event-normal-alerts etc page really doesn't proc because you aren't taking that much damage and if you do its not enough to kill you in regular so then you aren't getting as much use out of page. Where trans will always feed into your PHR for continual use
Trans, PHR, Page is the best for maximum healing output/survivability. You can swap trans if you want to give green here and there without losing out to much healing. (This is of course not considering the eog nerf that is coming) Tbh I wouldn't get eog if you are getting it for your healing role atm.
What about Bottled City Soder? In the past few months people have been using it and I wondered if it has made a comeback.
it's always helpful, I don't list it because the xp is so low to level it I assume most do. Catalysts are the only extra cost
