I’m a Drummer of a few months. One of my goals is improving foot speed. This lesson is fantastic! Thank you so much. You’re truly a man of the people. And subbed!
Thank you so much Sir. Always honoured to have you here. And yeah I've been working on what you told me to, not too regularly though, but when I feel like I'm ready, I'd come to you again sir 🙏🏼 ❤️
Thank you Sir for this, it is very informative and inspiring. Please I have question With this technique, do you use the toe or the ball of your foot. Thanks
I drum in the same exact shoes. lol I also have a pair of DC's that are black and orange that have good flat and hard soles that are comfortable for swivel and slide.
I watched this a third time. You're just awesome! A question sir. For two quick sixteenth notes, what's the fastest tempo one can approximately achieve with this technique? 200bpm?
Hey man. Thanks for the great video. 🙏 Just a pointer regarding your beater: It seems that your beater is not striking your bass drum at the correct angle. You may wanna try changing the angle of the bass drum so that the beater strikes at the optimal position. Again, thanks for the great video. 🙏👌
Subscribed! Love how genuine your teaching is! I have two questions that I hope you can help me with. My calf doesn't burn as much when I do these exercises as compared to when I do them heel down. Is that normal? Secondly, going fast is tough coz I can't control my feet? If I try to go faster, it'll just go crazy and not follow the rhythm. Sort of like not being able to control the power. Is that normal too? Does that mean my foot isn't ready for higher tempos yet?
First off! Thanks for the compliment 🙏🏼 appreciate the sub ❤️ Answering the questions, like I already said in the video, once you go at higher speeds, it might begin to seem like you're playing heel down. Only difference is that when your playing singles Strokes it's entirely heel up, also while starting off multiple kicks (double kicks above), you use the heel up technique to start. But if you're not used to the motion(the switch between the two techniques), it would feel strange. For the second question, it's most likely, that your foot is not ready for faster tempos yet. These exercises take quite a while to get used to. Try working with a click also. With constant practice of around 30minutes daily, you might begin to see improvements in about 2 weeks. But trust me, they work! ❤️
@@TochSticksMusic thank you for your quick reply. Hugely appreciated! I understand your reply to my second question. For my first question, my apologies, I think I didn’t explain myself well. What I mean is, when I do the multiple strokes exercise, I don’t feel that much of a burn on my calves. Is it because my tempo is still rather slow? Hence I don’t feel the burn yet?
I want to say that this is the best instructional video
i have seen.regarding how to use bass drum pedal.
So glad to hear that man 🙌🏾 ❤️

@@KamalBensra yeah! To feel that much burn in your calves, you'd need to speed it up!
@@TochSticksMusic alright. Thank you so much once again. Peace brother 🙏
I practically try all of it
