All good info. I have a 2000 jd 4100, 4 wd, Curtis cab, loader, front mount snowblower. & it’s been a very good tractor. I even use it on my Belsaw PTO driven circular sawmill. (Although a little under powered for that). Currently looking for something with a little more power.
Dave, I miss these old videos like this! A good video that will take some time would be what you look for when evaluating a tractor for the lot compared to one you want to keep and fix up? Jeff
We have a 53 Cub, and for the price, you can't beat it. We have a Sickle Mower, and a Snow Blower. It will run both easily. We also use it to haul fire wood at our Cabin.
Yes a Farmall Cub. My Grandpa and Uncle both had those. Spent hours on them!!!!! Theirs were late 40s models I think. Off set for viability, sits up high for better cultivation, and implements galore!!!!!
Cubs are fun but all the implements are specific for it. No 3PH backwards PTO and 1100 rpm means you can't just toss on modern stuff like tillers. Fun cultivating tractors for sure though
I appreciate the video. Thanks. Please man, ask the Lord to give you more self control with the overeating, you will live longer and be more healthy. I’m praying the same for myself. God Bless.
20 to 60 year old tractors are fine; IF you know how to do your own repairs. Word of warning to buyers: know your limitations on tractor evaluations and if you buy from a dealer you will pay twice what's it can be found for if you buy direct As with any used piece of equipment it depends on the seller:private or dealer. A good dealer stands behind what he sells be it used or new. An individual wants the most he can get and then you're on your own. Do your research on parts availability too. name brand and high production numbers is the most important thing so you don't end up with a boat anchor when something breaks.
I live in the wrong place. Can't find prices like that. Especially for the Japanese ones. Multiples of thousands for run down units lol. Not even gunna mention ones in good shape
i have a 87 yanmar 226d with loader, snowplow, rear blade and brush bog. it also has a JD cab on it. has 850 hrs on it, i like it. i payed 7k with everything i listed.
Great video. Very informative. I did not know there was that much available at those prices. Maybe I need to quit looking on the John Deere dealers lot.
Hi Crazy D! I found you watching the car wizard! I might be your newest subscriber, I've been looking for a small Universal tractor. Not that they're readily available but I have been very intrigued about the Honda trackers. I love the all-wheel drive all-wheel steer. they are probably closer to a lawn mower than a garden tractor LOL! Wondering if you knew anything about them? Looking for a four-wheel drive that I can put a belly mower on. Maybe a small loader. A three-point tiller would be nice. Most of the belly mower tractors I look at around my area have 60 inch decks. Might be big for my application. My yard is an obstacle course in places. The Honda tractors I've looked at offer a 48 inch deck. Do you have any advice for somebody who has no idea? Love your channel can't wait to binge-watch your Channel! Thank you!
I know of the haunted that you're speaking of it they seem to be pretty good. Look at the older smallerthey're everywhere and they're not too expensive something like that might work very well for what you're wanting to do
@@CrazyDEquipment I was actually looking at the Honda 5518. Yes parts and attachments would probably be more readily available on an old Ford or Kubota. All of the small kubota's I have looked at I have 60 inch decks .TOO BIG! Do you know if the old Ford 1210 or Kubota b7200 tractors pretty interchangeable as far as mid mount mower deck size? Those trackers are probably like comparing apples and oranges. I love your channel I've already watched several of your videos!
I’m looking for a good optation tractor with four wheel drive that will drive in sandy deep sand with loads, must be all wheel drive , thanks BigAl California.
Not anymore not since you now have the internet so if the dealership ain't got it you can probably find it somewhere online the internet is your friend LOL
Sometimes parts are hard to find. You can contact a vendor overseas for some parts. I got some Kubota bearings from Australia. If you're interested in Yanmar, check out Hoye, they also have a list of Yanmar tractors to avoid. But in general, don't buy a model that wasn't popular when it was new. www.hoyetractor.com/modelstoavoid.htm
My boss has a tractor I'm thinking about buying it's an old massey ferguson to 30 4cyl gas and needs a carb rebuild he wants 1500 deos that sound about right??

a good local used equipment dealer is hard to find. appreciate your channel, videos.
Good vid for the large yard or garden person. The tractors can usually run all day on 5 gallons of diesel.

Looks like good deals on craigslist on tractors. Some are fairly new like in the 80s
Deere 650 is easily the most capable of these followed by that B7100 and then the Iseki. Parts and service same order.
