    Wow , I’ve had this engine for nearly four years now ( M5 ) and it’s been wonderful considering all the comments regarding reliability , I’ve looked after it with preventative maintenance and had it serviced regularly on time this is the key to ownership of this magnificent engine along with warming the engine and gearbox to temperature and keeping below 3k revs in the process. 👍🇬🇧😎

      @@papa_pt …that’s true , my car is on 91,000 miles the analysis checks are showing little wear and tear which I know is only a guide but it helps , I’ve changed the throttle actuators for upgraded ones ( not plastic cogs ) including circuit boards which wasn’t expensive ( this is a must because they will go wrong) , I have no desire to sell this car it’s to much fun considering I had the M3 E46 previously that’s a bold statement because those cars are fantastic to drive what a car and I do miss driving that machine , I am going to change the rod bearings , vanos pipe and the engine mounts at the same time in the not to distant future for peace of mind , I would love to drive it everyday but it’s not practical regarding the warming up process if your running late for the train etc or in a rush plus the fuel is horrendous , I’m sticking to taking the cover of the beast every couple of weeks.

    Don't think I agree that V10s are always better (sound wise) than V8s. It really depends on the exhaust design and cylinder firing order. Don't get me wrong, most of them sound amazing but some V10s (like the Dodge Viper or dare I say, the later model Gallardos) sounds like just two 5 cylinders (low pitched) compared to a high pitched whaling F1 sound you get from the LFA and Carrera GT. I wouldn't say a Dodge Viper or the later model Gallardos sound as intoxicating as a Ferrari F355, M3 E92, B7 RS4, 2018 Shelby GT350 or the upcoming Corvette Z06 with its flat plane crank V8.

It really is a fantastic high-tech step in driver to car interaction. I have tried to find where the ECU is (it surely must have one) but have failed so far.

      unreliable maybe, but let's not forget that the engine that was pulled out of this Sagaris was and still is the most powerful N/A straight six ever fitted to a production car! Awful might be a little unfair...

    The TVR really deserves the V10. A mad engine in a mad car! And that blue is just drop dead gorgeous! As for me I would put a V10 in a 2016 Dodge Dart or a Dodge Neon, just to see the look on peoples faces when you smoke their 911 off the line in a dodge Dart or Neon with a Viper V10 in it would be worth it.

    Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they even want to slow down all the gas pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime. " Bundesabgasbespaßungsverbotsverordnung" in German. :-(((((((((

    • @Schlipperschlopper
      @Schlipperschlopper 2 роки тому +1

      @@tnmoe- yes exactly, sadly China dictates the end of use of all combustion cars worldwide. China told our EU politicians that they wont do any business with underdeveloped countries that still allow CO2 emitting traffic or combustion based industry after 2030...I am sure USA and UK also will be forced by China to 100% electric traffic because today no industrialized country can afford sanctions by China.... China just rules the world...:-(

    With that German paperweight under the bonnet it’s no more than an engineering exercise and curiosity.
