I pulled up the report of the de la Cruz card and was amazed. I enjoy these reveal videos, but would be so pissed if stuff I paid to have graded was way different and I had no idea why. I know PSA has the name recognition in the market, but dang, this service that TAG provides seems a thousand times better. I like the looks of the slabs, too. Thanks for sharing this!

The issue still exists that if you get a low grade from PSA there is no explanation as to why, and that’s the whole benefit to using TAG. Like its so much easier to handle getting a lower grade when you have a full report on the card and know why it graded the way it did. Really appreciate this video, thanks for sharing.
I wasn't able to scan the QR code, but I was able to find the Jr card via the reference number, firstly what an impressive, clear and concise webpage and unparalleled card analysis. It's now so difficult to grade a raw card with your own eyes after seeing all the little nicks and scratches that show under computerized conditions.
Exactly!! Very cool, right? You'll have a post of video of your TAG reveal when you decide to send in your cards. At the least, it's fun to see how right or wrong you may have been about the grades you predict.
Thanks for sharing. I’m hoping to experiment with TAG soon, too. Your video actually bolsters both TAG and PSA, which is refreshing and fair. That poor Elly card had those two huge print lines and was grossly off-center left to right. Barely any border on the front left side unfortunately. You can gauge centering on the 2022 Bowman by comparing the thickness to the left of the left border with the thickness to the right of the team logo at the bottom right. Really curious what the TAG report said about the Griffey. To the naked eye, that card looks pretty good.

I don't use PSA i never used PSA cause SGC is my preferred grader, i trust SGC i have been using them for 5 years already and they have never let me down on grades or anything...
SGC cases need a major update TAG and CGC cases are so much cleaner and feel nicer in the hand. TAG has nicest IMO, just hope they can close the price gap between them and PSA someday.
Honestly I’m shocked. I get PSA goes very low 5/6 on those microscopic flaws, which to me, should be more like 7’s/8’s. There’s 10 with clearly visible flaws, so I don’t get why the near invisible flaws are so harshly graded.
There is a probably a crease in the Griffey card, and those are very very hard to spot. You have to move the card around under good lighting to be able to spot it. In my experiences, when a card get a way lower grade then expected, its 90% of the time it has a minor crease(creases are heavily deducted when grading).
This is a great video and thank you for sharing. I’ve always thought TAG should provide a SOFT grade option without the slab and allow customer to submit to PSA directly from TAG. Crazy right?
PSA should just buy TAG out and use them as phase 1 of the grading process where the Grader then gets the card to make any necessary human judgements to finalize the grade. I honestly believe thats also what TAG hopes out of their tech venture. In the future, PSA graders notes, will help calm everyone down with when they get some whacky low grades back.
Smaller grading companies usually a little higher than PSA. That is more of keep the customer happy attitude so fudge the grade a bit. PSA is pretty accurate and most prefer PSA graded cards.

I’d be curious to see the report on the Elly. It looks wildly off center on the front to me, but I’m not extremely familiar with that year of Bowman. This was awesome to see and worth the extra money for peace of mind. I’ve wanted someone to try a card they feel should have been graded higher with all three companies. Also good to see someone admit when they were wrong and apologize, that’s rare it seems these days. Great video.

Look at other psa 10's or bgs 9.5s to get an idea on centering when there are no borders. I could tell immediately that it the Elly is far off to the left.
I still think PSA still messes up when grading cards. I got grades of 6&7 on one submission and I had cracked them open and sent them back another time and they came back 8&9. Just got a big bulk that returned last week and there were also some that came back as 5s 6s and 7s. Definitely gonna do the same for those.
I think grading companies are a waste of money and getting rich off of the consumer. I've been collecting a long time and can grade my own cards. I remember getting Beckett price guides ,and now you have to spend a couple grand to join their membership what a joke, can't find a Beckett anywhere.

PSA has been able to coast for a long time off their name and previous standards but in recent years have become inconsistent, expensive, full of hidden charges, have terrible customer service and turn around times, and have lost numerous peoples cards.
No, but that doesn’t matter. The reason they use humans is to artificially raise the price so it remains higher… and apparently they can hire more people from the Harvard school of grading. Butttt we need PSA because a lot of vendors don’t even want to buy non-psa slabs and will give you more EV for PSA.
I have had about 20 cards graded by TAG i dont think ill use them again. Im not sure how other companies build the final grade but TAG doesnt use the overall average of the grades. The card will get the final grade locked from the lowest sub grade it got. The final grade should be averqged from all subs in my opinion. But yea beautifal looking cases and awesome reports but i use sgc now , and also tbe TAG computer i have noitced shows errors when there isnt one there.
I bought some nice cards from Greg Morris on eBay example 61 Ron Santo they pre grade a NM-MINT & 61 Billy Williams excellent Exmint the No good graders of PSA gave me 4 Fn 4 VG. On both I’m done with PSA bios pieces of 💩

Why because you lose one fraction of a grade do you say PSA knows what they’re doing I don’t think so. I see more shit grades from PSA than any other place. Same here about PSA and leaning more and more towards using TAG the more I learn about em. Did I hear correctly that TAG can grade vintage cards?

I think tag is gonna be a contender in the very near future. They have a really great concept. They definitely have a high end look and feel.
Those roller makers are called print lines . They grade terribly no matter where u send them.

Greg Morris has a history of overgrading his cards online, everyone knows that.
The shohei is off centered left/right. How did that get a 10!
They allow for slight imperfections. Each company is a little different but I think the front needs to be 60/40 or 55/45.
