There you go again with those fantastic boats. I have never seen any pictures of boats that I like as well as yours.
Awe - thank you!
I’m in the UK & my Godmother lives in Topsham! I’ve been in that bird watching hut! It’s called an estuary (river mouth that fills with sea water with the tides)
I TOTALLY get why you struggle with the pronunciation of quay!
I think the cord you pulled isn’t a fire alarm - if there is a long string in a toilet it’s an emergency alarm for disabled people who fall onto the floor in the toilet & need assistance to be helped back into their wheelchair
Topsham was sooooo pretty!
The fire alarm at church!! I laughed so hard at this. Totally something I would have done. 🤣🤣 Your work in this video is incredible. Love the sketches at Exmouth. I cannot WAIT for Part 2! 😀🎉👏
🙌❤️
Dear Sandi - This is the most , just the most! Sincere thanks for sharing your filming with us, and spreading your happiness far and wide. Here in the Canadian Rockies we are already facing a long winter and your time in England was just what I needed to boost my incentive to paint. Your spontaneous paintings are richly beautiful.
So glad it gave you some incentive to paint 🙌
Sandi what a great video for me to indulge in this morning. I was so happy to see you in Devon. This is where my dad was born who just turned 80 last week. He often talks about Devon with such love in his heart. You were able to show me the beauty that he so often talks about to this day. He loves to paint the landscapes of England even though he has lived in Canada for 40+ years. His heart is still there. Thank you Sandi.
Ohh I love that!
I pulled a string like that in a bookstore bathroom in Rome, thinking like you did it was to flush. I soon had three worried employees outside the door, asking if I was okay 😂 It’s been so inspiring watching these videos from your trip.
The incident in the loo with the alarm is hilarious.
Love the blue frame specs!
Oh wow! You were literally just down the road from where I live! I’m so glad you enjoyed your visit and found it so inspiring. I think you pulled the alarm cord for disabled people in the toilet! 😂 it’s easily done! Amazing paintings Sandi can’t wait for the next one!
I loved it there sooooo much!
I'm so happy that you and Grady got to enjoy this wonderful experience together!!!! Thank you for taking us along ❤!!!!
Ah Sandy. I live in the uk and seeing and hearing you be so excited about it has filled my heart with such warmth and joy. Please come back, you must come up north if you would like some amazing hills and craggy edges 😃
I have just discovered your videos Sandi, and what a delight they are. I have lived in England for 20 years, so these are happy memories ! Sending love from Alsace, France 👍👍❤️❤️
Ohhh that’s so nice! Welcome!!! So glad this gave you happy memories!
You didn't tell me we could have had tea!
“I have been looking for a cliffy kind of place” -Sandi :)
😂😂😂❤️
I REALLY love the way you did those sails on the boats at 21:03!
I had a feeling that you were going to visit England and was so excited when I saw this video pop up! Devon and Cornwall are my favourite parts of the country, though I don't get to visit very often as I live up in the north of England. What a great experience for you and Grady - looking forward to part 2!
best video in a long time
Wow fantastic trip. Thank you for sharing. Next stop Australia...?
I did the same thing at Stirling Castle in Scotland - tried to flush the toilet and set off the fire alarm.😂
Glad I’m not the only one 😂
I always wanted to go to England,Germany have family Ireland
You have to come to Ireland 🇮🇪 I'll show you the hidden nooks and crannies to sit in, absorb, paint and become whole in ❤
So lovely to see the UK through your eyes, I am over on the East coast in Norfolk. Glad to see Grady trying a sausage roll.. a British essential! 😂
😂
Can so relate navigating different toilets in different countries🤣🤣 and love your pronunciation of Quay. You are a breath of fresh air. So glad you found a church to go to as well.
Setting off the fire alarm at church…so funny!! I would have pulled that string too cause every British novel I read seems to have a chain flush toilet! I think you guys were brave to rent a car…driving on the other side of the road…I don’t think my dyslexic artist brain could figure that one out! Such a fun vlog! Thanks!
Grady did GREAT driving!!!! I was so impressed! I’m NOW confused though 🤣🤪
I saw Candy! Can't wait for the next one.
Really enjoyed this video Sandi (I live in North Devon) ~ loved the toilet story 😂
Oh awesome!
Thank you for sharing how much you loved your trip and the inspiration and joy it gave you. Plus of course your wonderful pictures. I feel blessed to live in England, albeit at the other end of the country from where you visited.
Hope you enjoyed it down South. You need to come back to Yorkshire. Loved this weeks film and your artwork.
I want to go back like NOW!
the way you said 'quay' is so cute! lovely to see you exploring the lesser known parts of england, glad you didn't get caught in the rain, we have a lot of that here 😂
So many favorite moments from this video, especially your incredible paintings and enthusiasm to make nonstop art. However, my ultimo favorite scene is of the flabbergasted, old dudes giving you the stink eye and you were teflon and kept your joyful mood. 😂 (Also, you are my hero for painting in windy conditions. I would have wimped out.)
lol I love it. "I have fallin and can't get up strings". I want to go so bad. I was actually born in England but I have no memory of it. We left when I was 4. I want to go to the lake district. Thank you so much for this video. Loved. it.
Ah!!! I wish I knew I’d welcome you at the airport!!! 😂
Glad you had a good time! Experienced the English weather and the county roads.
Laughed so much with your toilet incident 😂 They usually have alarms for disabled ppl here in the toilets so that why they came running to you to help you 😂
😂 we actually have those here too 🤷♀️😂
I love your paintings in your sketchbook!
This is inspiring me! I leave for Rome this week and definitely want to take some supplies with me and see what happens 😀🤗 beautiful trip
Loved it, thank you. Now I've seen a peeing pig too! Great paintings and wonderful enthusiasm. 😊
😂 Thank you!!
How fun. I am so excited for you that you were able to go and meet so many wonderful people. That is too funny about the fire alarm. 🤭 I probably done the same thing. If I ever make it to England I will remember: Do not pull the string. 🤣
Thank you for taking us along on your trip Sandi 😊
I'm so Excited, Sandi. Can't wait to watch all of this . I am having some Iced tea lemonade and working on a painting. Fun to paint with you my inspirational friend.! Glad you had a great time. I'll be quiet now and soak up your energy. You are a lifeforce!
Onna

Morning Sandi you see so happy it's lovely bless you
Oh my gosh Sandi such an amazing trip! Thank you for sharing it with us! It has been 40 years since I’ve been to Great Britain (~gulp~😳 where did the time go?) and now that I’ve seen your amazing art v-log I really REALLY want to go back.
This was an absolute joy to watch Sandi! Love the paintings you did. It was so inspiring to see you capturing the landscape. I can't wait to get into my studio and paint! Looking forward to part 2 😊
Awesome! Next time you come to the UK Sandi you should make a trip to Durham northeast England, we have a castle and a cathedral in the same location, plus lots of coastline to enjoy . Great enjoyable vlog, so pleased you loved your trip.
Ohhhhh 👍🏻🙌
Oh also, at the 7:06 mark, that painting kind of looks like you, Sandi! Maybe it’s just me 😂 but I think so and it’s adorable
Ahhh, the toilet stories. In solidarity, I took a week of cold showers in Costa Rica because I forgot the C knob was for hot water, caliente. 😊 We live, we learn, we warn others! 😂
😂
Oh, I loved this video. I am super happy that you got to go to England and paint and meet friends. So much beauty! Thank you for sharing it with us all. You are such an inspiration.
It would be so much fun to watch Grady paint with you one day 😊
I’m certain that won’t happen 😂. I try to get him too all the time!

Lovely to see you and Emma on the same spot, painting together. My role models 😊
❤️❤️❤️
I LOVED THIS SO MUCH!!! I teared up several times at your happiness with your art friends. Your work means a lot to me! Such amazing, colorful, whimsical and happy work!
❤️❤️❤️
Glad you enjoyed England. Glad you enjoyed church… I’m sure you made an impression 😂. I’m an artist in West Sussex, England. I have lived in US for a short while many years ago. Love your videos 👏🏻
“An impression “ 😂
So much fun to see this! I live in Devon, so I'm very familiar with all the places you showed. The body of water at Topsham is the Exe Estuary. And now I will always think of Gandy Street as Candy Street! Looking forward to part 2!
😂🙌
Amazing trip, and i LOVE how your drawings are colorful and spontaneous, may i say "intuitive" (i'm someone intuitive in art, i don't have a lot of technics, as i have learned by myself. I'm a drawer too, and try to be more spontaneous. Saddly i didn't post videos about my most recent art on my channel, because i don't have a lot of views or followers, so it not encouraging (and i removed a lot of my artistic videos). But i love gouache, acryl gouache, and others technics, so i saw some of your videos this last days, it's so inspiring to see you paint so spontaneously with paints :) And you are excellent in many technics, and that give the desire to try it too.
I am lol at those two men giving you the stink eye ! Btw , I saw Candy St too, tell Grady he was wrong.. 😉. I loved this on location art with artists. I cant wait to see part 2. Have a wonderful weekend. ❤
Those old men were great!
Loved this video! Especially the Exeter sea scapes. I loved the little houses on the far shore so much! I really hope you are still working on making a book of your sketches. I would love to be able to hold a book like that in my hands. Too funny with the fire alarm, I can see myself doing the same thing. Thanks for sharing all your work. I am looking forward to next week.
So glad you got to cross to this side side of the big Pond Sandi!
Me too!!!
Great video.. love the art ❤😊
This trip must have been a dream come true for you guys! Thanks for sharing it with us ❤

England is so beautiful, I left when I was 27, the weather was always so cold my husband wanted warmth so we came to live in Australia, I miss the English country side very much even though I have lived in Australia 40 plus years. Excited for you to paint in the u.k.
Love, love love your painting and meeting up with some awesome artists in England. I sketched there a few years back and know exactly how you feel. The beauty and the inspiration will stay with you forever.
I hope it never leaves!

Thank you, such a great video! I tend to have problems with editing out details and loosening up with my landscapes, your videos are very helpful, I learn so much!

So happy you got to travel that beautiful area! I went to the Lake District in the north this summer. Gorgeous beyond words. You’d love sketching there. It almost becomes beauty overload.

Glad you loved England, we may be small but we pack a punch. Happy painting x
I completely agree!!!
I am looking forward to watching this video! I am so happy you and Grady went to England. Be well, Sandi!
PS Grady is driving very well across the pond! I can't imagine driving on the opposite side of the car AND road.
He was a rockstar driving!!!!! I mean, I did help him 😂. And of course because of that I’m now TOTALLY confused as to what side of the road I’m supposed to be on 😂
How exciting. A trip where memories are made---good for you. The driving would have done me in. Beautiful scenery & views.
Yes to the driving 😂
Lovely trip. Glad you both had a good time and gathered some nice images to paint. Thanks for taking me along. Love the paintings you did. I enjoy watching you work. You have inspired me again.😊❤️

Those poor birdwatchers 😂
So fun to see that you're meeting up with fellow artists to paint together. I love bringing gouache paint on a trip. Earlier this year, I traveled for three months through Europe and I loved meeting up with people to draw as well 🥰
