From Refugee to Medical Revolutionary | Munjed Al Muderis | TEDxSydney

- Mounted Al Muderis is a world leader in "osseointegration" which is life-changing for all of Munjed’s patients, enabling the amputee to focus on the destination rather than the journey.
In this talk, Munjed explains how he is now on the top of his "Wheel of Fortune" and can now assist people who are on the bottom.
Munjed is an Australian-trained Orthopaedic Surgeon and Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor with Notre Dame University School of Medicine, Sydney. Born in Baghdad, he fled to Australia as a refugee and embarked on his journey to become an Orthopaedic Surgeon on his release from a detention centre on 26 August 2000.
Munjed’s ambition to become a world leader in osseointegration surgery started when he was a young child watching “The Terminator” movie. How to combine robotics and humans?
This passion inspired him to develop and expand this technology for amputees, to enable mobility, to enhance comfort, reduce pain and to facilitate a better quality of life. To date Munjed has helped more than 108 amputees mobilize and function with greater ease, comfort and control.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at ted.com/tedx

Now being investigated for all his failed operations and high infection rates. Also playing on vulnerable people and doing as many operations as possible to maximise profit. Zero patient care watch 60 minutes investigation 2022

I am extremely grateful and blessed to have this amazing man by my side 🙏💖
On the 60 Min program, Dr Al Muderis claimed that his inspiration for his technology was inspired from the movie the Terminator. Did Al Muderis get permission to use the technology? If not, he could be in breach of Copyright laws. This guy could be in a lot of trouble now since his insurance cover has been cancelled and could be sued by many of his patients.
You’re an inspirational human being. Hope the younger generation can see your example and change the narrow minded individuals in Canberra.👍👍
Good luck , may GOD BLESS You CHAMP !!!!!

Thank you , you are amazing, kind and inspiring 🙏🏽💗✨
Pfft see the Sixty Minutes video of what he has done to Australians AND others overseas - he should be stripped of his ability to touch anyone in any capacity in the civilised western world and stripped of citizenship too for what he has done to so many people!!!
Like few others surgeons….it’s all about the money.
Everyone should watch the 60 min investigation about this doctor before forming any opinions about him
If it doesn't kill you, it makes you stronger.
Al Muderis took the defamation action against the media organisations after a joint investigation revealed alleged deficiencies in his approach to post-operative care and infection management.
Al Muderis has three fellowships registered with the Australian Orthopaedic Association, a professional body that receives and distributes money from pharmaceutical companies with education budgets. Five surgeons, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, raised concerns about Al Muderis’s use of these fellowships to operate multiple theatres at once to maximise the number of surgeries he completes.
ممكن احمد يدليني عل دكتور

Okay you try new technology for the betterment of people’s well-being I respect that! But I don’t believe that republican guards took three bus loads of deserters to the hospital to maim them. Why to the hospital? Who was the head of the department who refused and got shot in the car park? Why not name him?
No need to lie! This will come back and bite! Just like Norma Khouri and her forbidden love!
Out of all the things to lie about, why that? Just delete your comment you troll
I myself am not impressed by Al Muderis at all.
Care to explain why?
Why?
