I am thoroughly enjoying your UA-cam channel. About three weeks ago I started watching from the beginning. This video is among my favorite so far; it introduced a place I had never heard of before. Actually, never having cruised on the Mediterranean, I'm seeing lots of stuff on your channel I'd not seen before. Every episode has been a treat and your video production skills are amazing and on a noticeably sharply climbing learning curve. You have superior sound editing, especially-including your homemade music. And your singing voice is better than you know. I like how you are willing to address the challenges and frustrations of living and sailing on a small boat. Discussing the "bumpy" parts adds a whole lot of value and dimension to your storytelling, and I thank you for that. These parts add more to think about. Though retired and on a fixed income, I'm one of your patrons on Patreon and I am happy to support you. Through you two I can vicariously enjoy a life of sailing on the water. I don't usually watch much video, but after a lifetime on the California daysailing, I'm paying the price of too much time in the sun on the water. I've heard of Corsica but I've never been there. I've been in a boat cruise in the Mediterranean and visited many cool sites but Corsica looks really cool. If I ever visit the Mediterranean again I'd love to go to Corsica.
Your creaky buoy story reminded me of a night on my old boat, i’d laid awake hearing a quiet knocking from the stern, I convinced my self it wasn’t important, woke in the morning to find 10cm of water in the bilge, the knocking was the lower rudder mounting working loose from the transom and letting the sea in...oops😀

Interesting rock formation, it looks as if a giant was piling up rocks up for later use … a slingshot perhaps? 😋) ... Yes, I’d love to spend an afternoon and swim there … Bonifacio what a lovely town: the cafés are so inviting … and nobody would get me out of that candy store, for sure, I love it! ... Don’t be surprised if you think of something and it appears right in front of you in a short time, as humanity’s consciousness shifts and the planet's vibration raises, manifesting will be easier and easier, mostly if you’re taking good care of yourself and are focused on your spiritual growth (intuition is sharpening …) ... Maya you should look into doing voice overs as a career, it is so soft and reassuring, you could tell me black was white and I would believe you. And maybe it is something you could do over the Net so you could earn as you sail :-))
When and if you find a cure for the “creaking”, let me know! It’s like a badly tuned, infra-bass guitar, and ruins my sleep too. I’ve tried wrapping the mooring rope with fabric - no effect. Moving to sleep in the saloon or even cockpit may be the only remedy.
You are a wonderful film maker, Maya. One suggestion, though. Maybe test the effectiveness of the mic you use for voiceovers? You have such a perfectly clear and articulate speaking voice. One of the very best. But on the voiceover mic, it often sounds muffled and is sometimes difficult to make out some of the words. These film of yours are little treasures. And that mic needs a long rest in a box in a closet:)
LOL, I thought the mic sounded the best yet! But I’m listening on a tiny iPod speaker. With this video, SMC is no longer just a sailing channel but a great travel and leisure series with a broad appeal. Une classe à part! I think the subs will quickly go through the roof!

Line the ropes with a small towel and then tie to the cleat ensure it also covers the exit of the deck, then moisten and add dishwashing deteurgent.
