If Oliver brings you pleasure as you play, then long live Oliver! As always, your storytelling is the best.
What a picturesque island and what amazing cinematography .... I am so enjoying watching "your story". Thank you & much Love from Mexico. xo
Thank you so much Tochi! :)
Very beautiful. Thanks for sharing! 👌
Wonderfully hypnotising...😍♥️😇💐🌹👍
I've spent the day writing un-scenic software as I listened to your videos. The narration and music are beautiful. BTW if you do write, I'll buy it.
Wow, what a beautiful island. Thankyou for showing us a world we did not know existed, the Aolian islands. Italy is our favourite place in the world. (We loved Canada too!) Your videos of your ashore visits are a delight, and your coastal cruises. We have done extensive cruising around NZ when we owned a yacht for 6 years, and I have the bug again watching you. We are going to cruise the world when we get a catamaran soon! Regards with envy, Murray and Jean
Thank you so much for the lovely comment Murray and Jean, and congratulations on your dream coming to life in the near future! I hope the catamaran purchase goes smoothly and you get to live the life you dreamed of! -Maya
great video awesome violin
Another awesome anchorage. The footage of the octopus was beautiful. The deck side serenade so lovely Maya and Aladino's ingenuity with boat maintenance was interesting. Enjoy Stromboli!
Thank you so much Debra! -Maya
Your sailing travel film art never fails to make me happy. So well done and peppered with the most apt adjectives in the narration. Thank you! (And, Oliver I send my thanks for the music Maya played.)
Wonderful, soft, poetic and serene narration. Great work as a storyteller. Nice storyline. Enjoyed it all!
LOVE YOU DINI! THANKYOU!!! My HERO! Thats so funny! I was going to say something about your phone but didn't want to sound like an old mother hahaha..Glad to hear ;-)
At the expense of sounding repetitive, this episode was beautiful! Your photography, editing, and music choices work very well together; and your adventurous spirits seem unstoppable. Thank you for another shared adventure!
And thank YOU for such a lovely comment Jim! -Maya
Simply lovely as usual...thank you for your beautiful videos and music 💖💖💖💖💖💖
I love the music in your videos, both overlay & performed, beautiful scenery, beautiful story!
Thank you so much Ken! -Maya
Ooohhhh that beautiful octopus
Such a lovely island and story telling, thank you for excellent evening entertainment on board
' Calico Jack' always enjoy watching as I'm floating too
Have to say while busy in the peek of summer the Italian Islands are spectacular. If only it would stop raining in Gaeta in the winter 😂😂Sail Safe. Ant, Cid & the Pooch crew.
'Beauty is a wine that must be taken in small sips'. Like the guards at the Louvre who barely notice 'La Giocanda' as they pass by on their rounds, The residents of these 'magical and mystical' locales hardly look at the vistas tourists marvel at. We lived on an ocean canal we almost never gazed at, but guests would marvel at our 'unique' view...
As beautiful as always.
Beautiful video. I do so love your violin playing. Such a happy tune you played. 🌷
Here we have had an entire cold and wet week! So great to begin a day watching your summertime adventures! Thank you for the time and truble of creating your video's!
And thank you for always watching and commenting lovely things Claris!
@@SailingMagicCarpet sorry for the misspelled words, auto correct sometimes really massively fails
@@SailingMagicCarpet no problem, it is made easier when you are seeing good people to have nice things to say. Believe me I know the time and effort that goes into each edit.
Amazing. So much heart and soul...
Enjoyed this adventure. Really appreciate the hike to the top.
Great repair job Aladino! Repair skills seem to be lacking in young folks (I'm an old guy) in these days of overengineered and underbuilt products. Oarlocks especially are important, you'd think they might have used better quality materials!! Another great video guys, I enjoy every one of them!!
A Canadian in Thailand - I have very much enjoyed your videos from the beginning. Looking forward to meeting you both in Thailand?
What a delightful picture story, stunning scenery, nice low key presentation style. Bravo!
Love your violin music!!!! Y'all are cute😍
Dear Lady Maya and Sir Aladino.
I nearly always spare your fantastic videos till the end of my Sunday vid watching marathons! Simply because of the fact that they are sooo good and impressive:
Peaceful, kind of meditational/meditative with absolutely wonderful footage and the silky, smooth unique voice of this great story teller of yours (not to mention the very good music of course!).
Your videos are a kind of round, with no "edges", decent, very well taped and edited. There is only one little not so good thing to mention:
Unfortunately the vids are still not long enough by far!!! :-) ;-) I could and definitely would watch and and listen to your high quality stuff for hours and hours!
The positive aura and positive thinking of both of you is an additional bonus. Also the obvious fact that you complement each other extremely well and love each other so much. Sigh... simply wonderful and heartwarming.
So thanks again (and as always) for making taping editing uploading and sharing.
Best regards luck and health.
Postscriptum: Maya, you better get used to this "melting in the hot sun". Because any sweet thing melts in the sun! I'm pretty sure that the sugar loving Aladino knows this. ;-) :-)
Your comments are always a joy to read! Thank you!

Uuuh 😳 Thank you and thanks for the heart (also thanks for replying)! You're welcome. It's my pleasure and on the contrary: I have to thank you for making such enjoyable and entertaining good stuff!
Sincerely yours.
Do not call people Sir and Lady
it is very rude, unless one is related to Royalty.
Dear @@111-w9d7y
??? Maybe it's rude in your world. In my respectively the rest of the (non royalty?) world it's simply usef as a kind of compliment for people that are great, decent (or even beloved etcetera p.p.) respectively that are appreciated very much.
So please don't comment like a troll and try to respect different behaviour/views. Thanks in advance.
Best regards, luck, health and wisdom.
Awesome, thanks!!!!
another great video .
Love it
So cute and nice as always. Excellent with a box of food handed over, ship to ship 👍 A bit worried though about Aladinos fishing opportunities… 😉 I reckon the Fumarole is more obvious when the weather is cold, like in the winter?
I just love this video! Nice place.. Cheers :O)
Ciao ragazzi, siete fantastici.. vi scrivo in italiano perché so che Aladino mi capisce per cui, non appena tornerete in sicilia vi faccio assaggiare i miei arancini. Vi aspetto a milazzo. Ciao
Evviva!
Non vedo l‘ora:)
Grazie Giovanni!
Sometimes the small things can make such interesting images; a coil of rope, a simple knot.
Maya, does the sea air affect your violin much?
Aladino, Innovative fix on the oarlock.
Enjoyed the Oliver song. Do you know any fiddle tunes by John Hartford? He has some unique compositions. Great adventures and Great Movie!
Anyone who doesn't need coffee in the morning is just not human :)
Octopus only live just a few years :*( Poor little genius babies
haha do fishes have necks? im not sure about that.
Happy travels guys. Maybe ill see you out there one day
Love is all
Lovely view from the top of this island.I can imagine that it is far too hot for a canadian especially when you are walking during lunchtime. Aladino wrote me that you maybe plan to sail into the north or baltic sea - but I think this would be a dramatic change compared to the Mediterranean. Most people would do it in opposite direction, start in the north go south and never come back again into the cold. So I am very curious what will happen next season and if you really try the north ... If so the Bidevind is waiting and ready to meet Magic Carpet. LG Niko
We’re heading up North through the inland waterways of Europe right now :) Sweden and Denmark next summer!
@@SailingMagicCarpet Oh that is greet news. You are still on the boat within this ugly weather - and I'm sitting warm, just celebrated my round birthday two days ago and at present cutting my Sweden YT videos ... But to here your heading north makes me glad, than we will have a chance next summer. I will stay tuned for your coming destinations....
... And if you come to NRW during your channel journey I live near Münster and can pick you up so that you can have a warm shelter and shower in my house if you like
Where do you winter your boat? Love your videos.
You are planing to sail to Stromboli?
May I recommend to sail some miles to the north in the evening before. Just as far, that you can see the top of Stromboli kissing the horizon south of you. Than - in the dark of the night - sail towards Stromboli leaded by the magic light of the vulkano which was erupting about every 12 minutes when I did this many years ago. For me this has been the most magic "lighthouse" I ever saw in all my sailing years. A scenery I will never forget.
Amazing+, says this Canadian...
Is it just me, or was it a bit longer between videos this time? I was a bit worried about you two,Was happy to see you are well and fine! Great video keep up the good work
It was a week like usual Darrell! Ocasionally we post twice a week, but we only ever "promise" one video a week on Fridays or Saturdays haha! :) Thanks so much for following along so closely, we really appreciate it -Maya
You might consider getting a wireless lavalier mic instead of taking the risk of carrying your phone in your bra. They used to be super-expensive, but now you can get them from manufacturers like Saramonic for just over €100. Sound quality is great, it gives you a lot of freedom of movement, and no need for post-syncing. Would be useful for other situations in your videos as well. Just a suggestion.
I will piggyback on this comment and direct a question towards Maya regarding the use of remote talking machine in her khm khm upper body apparel. How do you synchronize sound recording from phone to video from another device? Does it boil down to clicking a button at the right instance in time?
Thomas Anderson I’ll take the liberty of answering that. Most video editing software offers a way to post-sync external sound sources. I can imagine that Maya clapped her hands with the camera and iPhone rolling, and then later used the visual and audio cue to synchronize the sound with the video, in the process removing the sound recorded in-camera. Most professional production is recorded “dual system” using an external sound recorder and microphone(s) with better far quality than what’s in the camera and then post-syncing. The in-camera audio is termed “scratch audio” and just used as a guide-post. Some video editing software will do the syncing automatically, comparing wave forms of scratch audio and full-quality sound and lining them up. But the old-fashioned mechanical way is the best, which is the actual function of the clapboards you see in “behind the scene” films.
@@bill2p Dear Mr. Peterson,
That was informative. Thank you. I knew It could be done by comparing wafe form, I just did not know if this is actually used in editing software. I, namely, have never edited a video in my life. But I do know I am quite sensitive to tiny offsets in video - sound synchronization. as an added bonus you have answered my age old question what is the purpose of this black clapboard. Obviously the chalk on it designates the footage and clip and just could not figure why do they clap it. It is so obvious now. Tnx to you again and Maya for bringing it up.
The clapboard is usually a white board these days, and in advanced production it has timecode running on it, but you get the picture. In TV we often got packages fed in from outside that for some reason had slid a couple frames out of sync. A quick visit to cutting room remedied that.
Are the dimensions of Magic Carpet 32 ft overall and 38 ft at the waterline?

Can you show me where the fish neck is on any fish?
Your writing, though!
Fishes necks? 😃🐡🐠🐟
