These are great resources! My 4th grader was watching the debates and is interested, so this will be a good way to help young learners understand the election process.
Such a relevant and important lesson for this season.. my kiddos are 8, 6, 4 and 2... I will definitely to introduce this unit study to my Littles... Thank You for sharing your resources!!
I have a wee man in 1st and can i tell you i have a email folder full of links to your videos for future school years. You are so encouraging! Thanks for sharing what you have learned!
I know this video is 2 yrs old...but can you tell me how to get the pdf version of the Shell Education book. I looked on Amazon and it's not an option. This seems to always be the case for me...do I have to do something in my amazon account for pdf versions to be an option?
I love this! but, this Election has been.... well.... specially the debate! it was AWFUL!!!! but I do love this! maybe we will go into history and pick a different presidential election.
@@aplacetonest yeah but I was thinking about watching a debate together and learning about each candidate in real life. just giving the lesson a real life real people feel. but thank you so much for all this info and all the awesome tips you give. Homeschooling is hard and its always nice to have ideas that are educational and fun
For a 7 year old I'd stick with the one from Teachers Pay Teachers and the little chapter book. It seems to be more broken down and simplified for smaller kids.

I love the writing a letter to the president
I enjoyed your video. You showed some great activities. 👍 I always like teaching the voting/election unit.
Awesome! Thank you!
Great video. We are doing American Government this year with my high schoolers. As a supplement, we've been watching Crash Course Government.
I'm glad you liked the video! Thanks for watching! Crash Course is a great resource!
What a neat unit study!!
Just put that book in my amazon cart!

The good thing about the study we are doing is it isn’t about any president in particular. It’s a general study of the election process.

I’m not sure if I should teach this to my 7 year old or not? Like would she understand? What do you think?

Thanks so much for all of the advice to both of you, I really appreciate it! I definitely don’t want my kids being left in the dark like I was.
